What does it takes to become a knight? Valor, Courage, Fame, Strength? None of this matters, as the component to become a knight is just one. Honor. Honor is something that sounds easy but is difficult to achieve. Thousand of people dreams to reach such height.
"To become a "Knight" one needs to become honorable" the old an said as he tell the children sitting on the floor. One child said "Isn't that easy master?". The old man smile gently and said this.
"Honor is not something garnered because you thought you did something good, It's garnered because it makes other acknowledge you that you indeed done something good"
The children, who is clueless didn't understand the old man. Old man reminisce about the past and told children another story, a knight who didn't follow honor rather it follows the intention of God.
"5000 years has passed since the dark age, there is a knight who devote himself to God and serve him and no one else" the old man happily said.
In the outskirt of a big town. The town of trade and goods. In the middle of the route towards the three different country, beside the river of Alavar. The town of "Ahlham", situated in the river were most boats from different country passed, they monopolize in there geographic location and open a lot of port and business that include trading.
Ahlham had vast amount of influence surrounding on the neighboring lands. The influence of the trade town is enough to make the other countries to halt building military establishment around the town.
The town pursue peace around the neighboring town and demanded to be neutral on the influences of the 3 countries surrounding them. Even though the Kingdom of Hielmera, the country which Ahlham affiliated to in the past didn't let them easily, they can't do anything because of the pressure the other countries gives and also one of the biggest organization of the continent.
"Ahlham is wealthy" they would say. But as the years past the town had drastically change. The people suffered. One of those are a kid name Kale.
"A little bit.." Kale whisper as he stretch his hand towards the table of a vendor selling fruits. "and... gotcha!" he then run holding two fruits on his hand. The vendor notice him and shout "You brat! Get here you piece of scum!!!" but its already too late, the kid already had entered an alleyway.
The boy then return to the place he called home. But it's just a place build by cardboard and stick. He entered and see his little sister, white hair and crimson eyes. People might mistake her for being and aristocrat if she dress nicely.
"I'm home Ciline" kale said and cilin greeted her brother "Welcome back" with a warm smile. Kale toss the apple on her and said "Eat plenty we are going to go there again". Which to his sister surprised questioned him "are you still not giving up brother?".
"If they let us in we will have better place to stay and food to eat everyday without stealing away from others" kale replied. Kale know why her sister is asking that, its already been their 30th try anyway.
At noon they walk toward the road. Kale holding his sister hands so that they will not get separated. They now arrived on the place, its the church. Church take orphans and teach them as well as feed them. The only hope of the people of the street is to get on the church orphanage.
*knock* *knock*
Kale knocks the door. The nun opened the door slightly and stare at them for a moment, eventually the nun opened the door and said "Isn't it already enough kale? Your been here multiple times! I said we are full of kids on the orphanage!".
"But sister! Even if its not me just my sister!" kale begged and his sister question her brother with worried face "what are you saying brother? Are you going to abandon me?" his sisters eyes watered and kale comfort her, "It's not like that. It's much better for you if you stay here.. being on the street is not for you".
The nun sigh. "Look here kale. I already done my best to get you and your sister in the orphanage. It's just the orphanage is full and we can't feed anymore mouth.. I understand you situation but we have our own problem too" the nun said with a sadden face.
"Please just my sister! I don't care about myself just her please!" kale begged but the sister can't do anything too. "I'm sorry" the nun answered kale. Kale thought 'another failure.. I just don't want my sister living like this.. she's too weak to survive in the slums..'
"Why not you become my disciple kid?" a man voice coming from their back said. Kale turn around and see a man in his shining armor that cannot be covered by his cloak said. "That logo.. " the nun nervously said. 'I feel like I seen that logo before' kale thought.
The nun suddenly knelt towards the man. "Oh it's a pleasure to meet you, Oh holy knight" the nun said. Kale eyes widen as he said "A- a- a holy knight???" his sister grip his arm tightly. 'Did i just hear that man saying to become his disciple?' kale thought.
"Now now don't we go inside and discuss this matter?" the man said and the nun welcome him in. In the lobby, 'Every person on the church starts bowing at him when they see him.. is this the authority of a holy knight?' kale thought as he watch the holy knight.
"Your confused huh? Well first sit down" the knight said as he take off his helmet revealing his black hair and brown eyes. "You.. kid I thought you were a royal when I see you.. golden hair.. but your eyes are.. blue? yeah you really look like a royalty" the man said.
"If I'm a royalty I wouldn't even beg to be orphaned by the church" kale said and the man laugh. "Hey you really is good at giving a joke" he laugh and stopped he stair at him and said "My bad let me introduce my self"
"I'm Eleon, a holy knight" eleon said to kale.
Holy Knights are rare. Even more rarer than knight who can use aura that already rare by itself. The Holy Knights don't use aura but divine blessing from the god. They are precious to the church because they became a hose for a holy power of the gods.
"A holy knight huh..? but why me?" kale ask confused why the man selected him to be his disciple. "Hm~ I think you already have the components to become one.. you only needs to train your body" eleon said.
"Me? I cant understand.." kale said as eleon smile.
"Now here's the negotiation"
