The skies over Faeloria turned violet, split by arcs of black lightning that twisted reality itself. From the broken space emerged a being cloaked in shadows—neither human, beast, nor spirit. Its form constantly shifted, a void elemental born from a forbidden rift.
High above the capital, it let out a distorted howl, and with a wave of its clawed limb, entire portions of the palace battlements disintegrated into nothingness.
Serenil stood atop the southern tower, staring into the abyss, heart steady.
His future wives were gathered in the garden below, protected by barrier mages and their personal attendants. Still, the wards faltered with each tremor of void energy.
"This isn't a natural beast," murmured Astarotte, her cat-like green eyes glowing. "That thing is born from entropy."
"It's going to consume the city!" Roanna gasped, clutching Liselotte.
Shuna clenched her fists, stepping in front of them. "Serenil… will protect us."
Down on the field, Serenil exhaled and raised his hand.
A pulse of pure silence spread across the sky as a crack opened behind him—a rift of ink-black space. From it, he drew a weapon unlike any mortal blade.
