Chapter 5 - The Awakening

Floor 20 — Eldrinor

Before setting out on his quest, Adonis realized he was woefully unprepared. He had no equipment, no potions, and no teleportation stone to reach Sunderwood. With a frustrated grunt, he checked his interface and saw the meager sum of 250 Tower Points remaining—hardly enough for everything he needed. Resigned, he decided to prioritize the essentials and made his way to the adventurer's shop.

Minutes later, he emerged, inventory slightly less barren. *Three teleportation stones and two low-grade health potions. I'll have to make every use count.* Clenching one of the stones in his fist, he crushed it, and a prompt appeared before him.

**"Destination?"**

"Sunderwood," Adonis declared. A swirling energy enveloped him, and in an instant, he vanished.

Floor 20 — Sunderwood

Adonis materialized in the dense, shadowy expanse of Sunderwood, the air thick with the scent of damp earth and rustling leaves. Determination surged through him—until he remembered one critical oversight. *I have no weapon.* His hand instinctively went to the sword at his hip, the one he'd taken from the blacksmith shop. But no matter how hard he tugged, the blade refused to leave its sheath.

Frustration gnawed at him as he examined the stubborn weapon. Then, an idea struck. *If I can't draw it, I'll use it as it is.* Gripping the sheathed sword like a club, he ventured deeper into the woods, his senses alert.

It wasn't long before he spotted them—two goblins clad in rusted armor, their jagged blades glinting dully in the filtered light. Without hesitation, Adonis charged. The first goblin barely had time to react before the sheathed sword connected with its skull, the impact sending bits of brain scattering across the forest floor. The second creature lunged, its rusty blade slicing through the air. Adonis leaped, evading the strike, and brought his makeshift weapon down with brutal force. The goblin's head exploded like overripe fruit.

Adonis stared at the carnage, stunned by the sheer lethality of the sheathed sword. Then, a voice echoed in his mind, cold and mechanical:

**"Level Up."**

His crimson eyes darkened, as if slipping into a trance. Without thinking, he uttered, "Status."

A crimson interface materialized before him, its glow casting an eerie light on his face. The display was filled with information:

---

  Name: Adonis @#!@#

 Level: 5

 Stats:

 - Strength: 5 (+)

 - Agility: 5 (+)

 - Endurance: 5 (+)

 - Intelligence: 5 (+)

 - Luck: 5 (+)

 - Durability: 5 (+)

 - Stamina: 5 (+)

Skills: Annihilation Beam (E), Blink (E)

 Stat Points: 10

 Tower Points: 0

Please allocate all points to the desired section shown on the red interface.

---

"What… is this?" Adonis muttered, his gaze darting across the strange display. Every stat had a (+) beside it. Curiosity overriding caution, he pressed the symbol next to **Strength**, watching as the number climbed from 5 to 6. A surge of raw power flooded his veins, his muscles tightening with newfound energy.

*I feel incredible—like I could shatter a tree with a single punch.*

Emboldened, he distributed the remaining points, shaping himself into something stronger, faster, deadlier. When he finished, the interface updated:

---

Name: Adonis @#!@#

 Level: 5

 Stats:

 - Strength: 8

 - Agility: 7

 - Endurance: 6

 - Intelligence: 6

 - Luck: 6

 - Durability: 6

 - Stamina: 6

Skills: Annihilation Beam (E), Blink (E)

 Stat Points: 0

 Tower Points: 0

---

Adonis exhaled, his body thrumming with power. Whatever was happening to him—whether a blessing or a curse—he wouldn't squander it. Survival was the only goal, and he would rise, no matter the cost.

With a dismissive flick of his wrist, the interface vanished. Adonis tightened his grip on the sheathed sword and stepped deeper into Sunderwood, ready to hunt.
