Feeling like floating, not on water, but on air itself, it was oddly peaceful, something he hadn't felt for a long time. His parents died at a fairly early age, leaving him with his uncle.
his uncle was not a good man, but taught him many things, but also, neglected many things a child should have.
Why was he remembering his uncle in these peaceful moments, who knows, but it didn't last long, as finally in this Nothing, there was sound.
"-ere...Hmmm, age 17, died of a gunshot wound..."
"Actually many gunshot wounds."
"I know lad, but technically only the first one counts as it would have killed him regardless."
It seems two men, one with a much older and stern voice, and one with a younger voice, where flipping through pages and speaking about Ryu as if he wasn't there, or that even if he was, it didn't matter.
"Killed five men just before death in a fit of rage after his friends deaths..."
"Five sir? Wasn't there six?"
"Yeah, one of the men actually survived, it's a bit of a miracle actually."
One of the men survived? His body jolted, finally giving the two men pause, did he really just move or was that just a strange sound, but once again, Ryu Moved.
"Wow, This is Unprecedented, he really does have a ridiculous will for revenge doesn't he?!?"
The older man says with glee.
"Sir...Are you sure it's ok to go over the boss's head with this? I mean Look at his Karma Sheet, He is under the recommended Karma for Reincarnation."
"Bah, That old system has been killing youngsters like this for generations...But I will admit, maybe I was a little hasty in my choice, let me see his sheet again...wait...why is this marked a zero?"
The sound of light tapping as the younger man grabs the sheet.
"Hmm, It seems he both saved, and robbed a man in the same instance."
"But he saved his life for a dollar, That is something heroic, and it's not like any of the the men he killed where saints themselves."
"But sir, it doesn't change the fact he killed someone, even people who kill for good are punished, it is written in the laws."
"Again with those laws, I'm so sick of his laws...Hmmm...Give me that sheet back!"
Before the younger man could react the sheet was swiped from him and lights like Ryu had never seen before where swirling around his vision.
"I count this as good, I count this as good, I count this as good-"
"Sir! What are you doing? You can't do that, they will punish you harshly, and me for not stopping you!"
"Then stop me...You know you can't beat me, so shut up and let me finish my work."
The older man continues his Mantra of "I count this as good." until finally he stops, they are both silently looking at the sheet.
"Sir...are you sure?"
They both sit silently for a bit before the old man speaks in a loud booming voice.
"LET THIS BE KNOWN, ON MY 47,852 YEAR, ON THE 17,465,981 DAY, HEREBYE GRANT ENTRY TO THIS POOR SOUL, INTO THE CYCLE OF REINCARNATION! HE HATH LIVED A LIFE FULL OF SIN, YET CAME OUT THROUGH IT CLEAN!"
The void he had been floating in started to shake and spin in ways he thought unimaginable, he felt his body, no, no longer his body, float through the dark space, and his mind slowly dim leaving nothingness again.
A floating feeling once more, but this time, in liquid, Viscous gooey liquid, something he had never encountered before, and the sound of a woman wailing and crying. Everything was so loud, then everything was so bright, as he felt giant hands grab him and pull him up, what was this crying, It's to noisy, until finally he realized, he was the one crying, he quickly closes his mouth stopping the giants around him in their tracks, looking at him as if he was their life and death, like since the sound stopped, they where going to die.
Soon enough the bustling continued as he was taken from the room and swaddled in many warm blankets, so much so he could barely breath, and before he knew it, he couldn't stop himself from falling asleep.
