The level gap was too big. He strongest skill Stealth, he couldn't use. The skill was used for hiding and he had to protect someone. His breathing was ragged. Even other skills got harder to use as he kept using them constantly. It was like it took more efforts to use them and duration of skill was also getting shorter.
WHOOOOM.
Suddenly a pillar of fire roared into the ceiling.
"Step. Away. From him." Raven stood, body wrapped in molten red, eyes glowing gold.
The Fang paused.
Raven stepped forward slowly. His bare skin shimmered with embers. His hands clenched—and two long blades of living flame coiled into existence.
"Oh the hero has awakened now" the Fang sneered, the tip of his water blade dragging across the floor with a hiss of steam.
Raven didn't answer.
His eyes, once restless and cocky, were now glowing molten gold—quiet and dangerous.
His body—no longer seemed just human—radiated heat from the core.
Then the notifications came, burning themselves into the air with blinding brilliance:
[Partial Bloodline Awakening – Lineage: Flame Sovereign]
[Elemental Affinity Strengthened: Fire +20%]
[Class Skills Acquired – Flame Blade, Fireball]
[Class fire Affinity – 20%]
[Fire affinity strengthened- 40%]
The Fang's smirk faded just slightly.
Raven struck first—Flame Blade activated.
A blur of red and orange exploded across the chamber. The air sizzled. His sword met the Fang's watery weapon with a crackle of steam and shockwaves.
The Fang staggered—not from the force, but from the burn.
"What—?" He leapt back, clutching his forearm. His skin, soaked and shielded, was scorched.
Raven didn't stop.
He threw a palm forward—Fireball.
A swirling orb of compressed flame launched straight at the Fang's chest.
It exploded on contact.
The Fang was flung backward, smashing through the stone wall. The dungeon shuddered.
Alex, barely standing, stared through the haze of smoke and flame.
Alex pressed a hand to his bleeding leg, forcing himself upright. He stumbled, leaning against a broken pillar.
He couldn't use Dash again—his body screamed in protest every time he tried.
Stealth flickered but didn't hold—his stamina, magic, everything was running dry.
He limped toward the outer edge of the fight, eyes scanning for an opening.
The Fang was trying to counterattack, but his water blades hissed and weakened every time they clashed with Raven's flame-infused strikes.
Raven spun—fire trailing behind him like a dancing serpent—and his blade carved a crescent of flame through the air.
The Fang dodged. "Your fire shouldn't be this strong, You just awakened. How?"
Alex moved. He knew he couldn't be much help in his condition without his skills but he was Deathwhisper even he didn't have any levels or skills.
He flung his dagger—not for damage, but distraction.
The Fang turned to block it—
Raven's sword plunged deep into his left side, fire surging through the wound.
SIZZLE.
The Fang screamed—truly screamed—for the first time.
The Fang's composure snapped. He slammed his palm against the ground.
A burst of water exploded outward in all directions, extinguishing flame momentarily and slamming both Raven and Alex back.
His eyes now blazed with cold fury.
"You both have annoyed me for real now. I am not gonna just kill you. I will make you regret ever stepping foot in this town" he growled, blood trickling from his mouth.
"[Skill: Aqua Cage]!"
A sphere of rushing water enveloped Raven, whirling with violent speed. The temperature inside dropped instantly—steam battled against frost.
Raven roared, fire flaring—but the pressure crushed him.
Alex pushed himself forward again, stumbling toward the Fang.
His legs barely moved.
His arms hung limp.
Dash
He speed was slow but he moved still. His eyes said he is by no means done yet.
"Tchh"You are first then. He stepped toward Alex—blade raised.
Inside the cage, Raven's eyes widened. Pain surged. Breath froze in his chest.
But something cracked—inside him.
He remembered his lineage. His fire. His pride.
Flame was never meant to be contained.
His voice rang out like a war drum:
"I AM FIRE."
The water shattered—evaporated in a heartbeat.
A burst of pure flame erupted around Raven as he walked free from the remnants of the cage.
His skin glowed red-hot. His steps burned the stone. He dashed forward.
The fang raised his water shield. The flame-coated blade severed through the water shield.
Then—through the Fang's arm.
Blood sprayed. The Fang screamed again, falling to his knees.
Raven didn't stop.
He raised both hands.
"FIREBALL."
Two glowing orbs of superheated magic swirled between his palms—one aimed for the chest, the other for the head.
They struck.
BOOM.
The dungeon floor shook.
Flames engulfed the Fang completely.
He collapsed, rolling across the stones, smoldering and screaming.
Until—
Alex appeared behind him.
Wounded. Barely breathing. Holding the last of his strength.
His foot crashed into the Fang's back—
And with Raven's fire still burning in his body, Witherfang plunged into the heart from behind.
The Fang convulsed, blood came gushing out. "You fucking…"Then he fell.
Ash fell like snow in the quiet chamber. Alex dropped beside Raven, finally letting go of the pain. The air still smelled of smoke and blood.
"You… good?" Alex rasped.
Raven let out a laugh that sounded more like a cough. "I am better than good, but you look miserable".
Raven stared down at his glowing hands.
Suddenly a pitch dark black object came out of dead body straight towards Alex.
[Class quest completed]
[Class awakening…]
Shit I forgot about that.
