Hi, I am Inoue Haruki. I just started my Highschool life a week ago and yeah it is nothing like those they show us in movies and dramas.
Haruki walking to his new high school with dead-like eyes. His eyes are always like this but today they are a little bit more dead-like because he stayed up all night reading a romance manga.
My luck in romance straight up sucks. Actually my luck sucks at everything. I never had any interaction with females throughout my school life so fa- wait that would be wrong because I kind of had 2 female friends in elementary school i guess but obviously that doesn't count.
Thinking all this made him sigh but it is what it is. Haruki walks to his classroom, hearing other student's lively chatter through the hallway.
These guys already made friends? In a week?! I am pretty much self-aware than those typical high schoolers out there but still I had a little bit of hope that maybe, just maybe I am going to have a REAL friend circle and will do hangout and stuff but reality really sucks.
While his brain was occupied in those depressing thoughts, he didn't see in front him and...
*Thud*
The worst happened. He bumped into a girl in the hallway!
"Um- I am sorry, I was not looking".
Ah yes, the day starting with one of the worst things possible. Yup, everyone is looking. Now I can kiss my normal high school life goodbye.
Haruki stood up and offers her a hand. People can think this as a romantic situation but Haruki is not like that because he knows well about his status. The girl stood up holding Haruki's hand after hesitating for a second. Haruki walks to his class, sits beside the window like nothing happened.
*After a while*
Teacher taking the attendance like everyday "Tachibana",
"Here".
"Kaminari",
"Here".
"Fujikawa",
" Here".
Even though teacher takes the attendance everyday I hardly remember those names, but I guess they don't remember me either. So it is not a big deal, it's not like I am someone special or anything..
"Kanzaki... Kanzaki?",
"He-here!"
"Don't just daydream all the time, pay some attention to the class too Ms. Kanzaki".
"Y-yes teacher, s-sorry".
Ah, it's that girl from the hallway. I guess she is a little bit shy and anxious, heh kinda like me. Haruki smirked and kept staring at her. For some reason, he felt that this girl is different from the others in the class.
*Riiiiiing*
Finally the bell ringed, I can finally go home and continue that manga from last night. Haruki walks out of the school thinking about the manga. Cold wind was breezing. Haruki decides to buy a warm coffee can from the vending machine near the park. The wind after rain really is cold. Buying a coffee once won't hurt my savings I guess.
For your information, Haruki is really good at saving money. Even if he wants a snack or something really badly, he can look away from shops and control his desires. He learned this skill from video games. Because he doesn't have that much of money to buy game items anyway.
*Gulp* ahhhh, hit the spot. Coffee really is the best- wait isn't she..? Haruki sees Kanzaki sitting in the park all alone. It is not really his problem but he felt like there was something wrong. He usually ignores things like this but decided to ask her this time.
"Um- Hi Kanzaki-san. What are you doing here all alone?"
Kanzaki looks up to Haruki and flustered a bit,
"u-um, nothing much. I-i was just going home... wait you know my name?"
"W-well yeah, teacher takes the attendance everyday after all".
"I know but I thought nobody actually remember it. A-anyways, thanks for asking Inoue-kun, I was just about to go h-home."
She remembered my name? Thats unusual. "Yeah you should go home soon. Seems like it is gonna rain again."
"What is wrong with rain? Rain is good....really good....."
She replied quietly. Her eyes were dead-like. Not like Haruki, it was like.... Eyes after crying nonstop.
