Chapter 18 - Episode 18 — The Ring That Shouldn’t Exist

The clouds over the capital darkened. Not from weather—

—but from fate.

That morning, an unfamiliar man arrived at the edge of the kingdom.

He wore plain robes. No guards. No entourage.

But every step he took made the air heavier.

As if the world itself bent around him.

He was known in whispers as The Seeker—the most loyal subordinate of the Multiverse King. A being with no allegiance to worlds or gods, only to one throne.

He was searching for something... or someone.

---

The Moment of Recognition

Ayra was watching from a hidden balcony when it happened.

The boy—still unnamed, still quiet—was pulled into the palace square to observe the traveler. Nothing unusual… until the Seeker's gaze locked onto the ring on the boy's hand.

His eyes widened.

He didn't speak.

He knelt.

> "It cannot be…"

The boy, confused and shaken, looked around—thinking it was a mistake.

But the Seeker whispered under his breath:

> "The ring of the Lost Heir… you are his son."

> "You are the blood of the Multiverse King."

The Hidden Past Begins to Unfold

In a sealed chamber, the Seeker spoke privately to Ayra and the boy.

> "This ring was forged only once. By the King of Kings. Given to his only son… who was lost to betrayal."

> "The boy's disappearance shattered empires across realms. His mother vanished. And the Multiverse King…"

He paused.

"…He's been searching ever since."

Ayra's expression darkened.

> "And yet he left his son abandoned?"

> "He did not leave him," the Seeker replied coldly. "The boy was taken."

Ayra said nothing. But her eyes flicked toward the boy—suddenly unsure who was more dangerous: her… or him.

Whispers of Her True Origin

That night, Ayra stood at her window, fingering the necklace her mother gave her.

It pulsed.

She saw flashes—her mother, once glowing with divine power, falling through the sky, bleeding light…

A voice called out to her, deeper than galaxies.

> "You were never meant to live in one world."

She saw her mother's face, crying as she whispered to the unborn child:

> "Your father… he is not of this universe. But he will protect you, if he remembers."
