Chapter 1 - Once upon a train

Henry boarded the train with a whole crowd as usual even though he didn't like it much.

There was always your usual groups of people on your everyday train, the nonchalant, those workaholics who were already glued to their screens in the early morning hours, the critics or maybe they just looked judgemental and those who were already late.

Every morning was uneventful to Henry, same old routines which he found comforting. The door to the train closed and the train began to move on the railways giving its usual screeching sound.

Henry sat between a workaholic lady whose fingers were already hitting the keys on her keyboard and an old lady who weirdly decided to keep a smile on her face on such a taxing morning.

Henry was an oddly perceptive and attentive person so as soon as he felt the speed of the train decreasing he perked his head from his phone to notice he wasn't the only one who found that concerning.

"What is happening ?!"one lady decided to voice everyone's concerns.

The train continued to decelerate causing most people to panic as it was unheard of.

Then the subway road light seemed to dim, now at this point Henry felt a bad premonition and he wasn't the only one with that line of thought.

"We need to call the emergency line before things become dire."a man in a blue overall 's voice suddenly boomed.

He looked like he worked at a vehicle workshop and must know his fair share on each. People around seemed to agree to Mr. Curt at least that's what the name on his overall said.

Henry took the murmuring among the people as an opportunity to look around him, he could guess roughly a hundred and thirty people on board and realised that in the chaos the old lady was gone.

He turned to the lady beside him who at this point had packed laptop and had a pensive look on her face.

"Miss , did you see an old lady..."Henry couldn't finish before she interrupted him saying somberly "She got up right after the light flickered wonder where she went to, poor lady."

Then the light in the train went out causing panic and cries from children and adults.

"Quiet everyone the men must have reached the emergency telephone by now right, so let's be patient it's probably just malfunctioning" the workaholic lady beside Henry stood up and said assuringly garnering a good amount of nods.

It seemed to calm everyone's nerves but not Henry the events seemed to align too much to cause him to rest.

Almost in sync everyone began to turn their flashlight on only to find Mr. Curt's head on one of the seats dripping with fresh blood causing everyone to stay in their feet and away from the seats.

Collective gasps and shrieks filled the train as some began to pray and others seeking for air. Henry could feel his heart pounding vigorously.

He looked around hysterically only to end up looking at the sign that used to say which station the train was headed because it now read "sit" and Henry's name went numb knowing now that the whole thing was orchestrated.

He fumbled back to brush the workaholic lady whose name he had noted as Anne's arm to show her the display even though he couldn't see her.

"What, if its not impo...." she paused speaking as It read again "shut up and sit." This time some people noticed and stood still and some including the duo Anne and Henry trudging to their seats while others were still petrified and still freaking out until a thump sound was heard.

The train became dead silent and all lights were directed to the sound only to see the head of one of the men who went with Mr. Curt. His eyes were wide with shock and distant almost empty.

This time the place remained quiet except a few whimpers and cries and some parents closing the eyes and mouths of their young ones who were trembling intensively.

After this the display read "Now sit ^.^" and everyone moved to take their seats albeit sluggish with Henry staring trying to take in everything he could while trembling.

Once everyone was seated, it read "Good work Everyone>-<."

The screen rolled in to read," Let's play a fun game together."
