[3rd POV]
'When I wanted the next customers to be interesting, this is not what I meant...' Wanda thought, as she stared at a man with golden colored hair, a small charismatic smirk on his face as he stared at her. Every instinct within Wanda's powerful body warned her not to even attempt to anger the man...no, the being in front of her.
For standing in front of Wanda was one of the most powerful entities in all of creation, and one of it's first, hand crafted by the Presence himself, and the one who brought light to this multiverse. For standing within her small bookstore was...Lucifer Morningstar.
"Bloody hell, no need to be so fearful of me, love! I'm not gonna kill you or anything. I was simply interested in what that pure chaos was, only to find it was a simple bookstore owner, how interesting!~" Lucifer said, looking around the shop, and also gazing at Wanda, who stared the man down.
She doubted she could do anything to him should he attack her, but she wasn't against trying her best. She wasn't even sure how strong he was, or even how strong she was in comparison, but she doubted a fight between them would go well for the greater multiverse.
"Am I truly that untrustworthy? Hells woman, I am just here to get a good look at the being that is causing so much chaos! That's all. And perhaps buy one of these books that certainly does not belong here" Lucifer said, flipping through some of the books that were written from the Marvel comics characters, such as Reed, Tony, and a couple of others.
"Although I must ask, how did you get such things? These books are certainly not supposed to be in this multiverse, much less this universe" Lucifer asked, as he knew of the multiverse and what lies beyond, courtesy of being the son of the Presence, and the second strongest being in the multiverse, with only his brother Michael being tied with him, and even that was...questionable.
"Does it matter? I am a simple bookstore owner, after all" Wanda replied, staring at the man who looked at her with a raised eyebrow, before a bark of laughter escaped his lips.
"Kahahahaha! How amusing! Yes yes, I suppose it doesn't matter doesn't it? After all, you have done no wrong, none that I'd give an arse about at least. Perhaps that dear brother of mine might kick up a fuss, but I doubt that" Lucifer replied, laughing at the response, as it was rare that someone would speak to him in such a way, when knowing what he was.
Sighing at the annoying man's response, Wanda leaned back in her chair "So, are you going to buy a book, or are you going to stay here and annoy me?" Wanda asked, not even bothering to hide her annoyance at the entity in front of her. He was strong, but he was also annoying as hell.
"Alright alright, no need to get mad. I'll buy a book, how about...this one?" Lucifer said with a hum, reaching down and grabbing a book on...cooking?
"A cookbook? I didn't take you for someone that would be interested in such a thing" Wanda said, raising an eyebrow at the man's choice. Hearing her response he smirked.
"I am a man of many talents, perhaps you'd like to experience some of th-" "Not interested" Wanda cut him off bluntly, as Lucifer pouted, but also inwardly understood what she meant by that, so he didn't take any sort of offense or anything.
"Alright no need to hurt my feelings" Lucifer huffed, as he placed the book on the counter, grabbing a twenty dollar bill and sliding it to Wanda.
"Keep the change" Lucifer said with a smirk as he began to walk off, Wanda watching him in silence as he turned back to her moments before leaving the bookstore.
"Oh, and I'll be back in the future! Afterall, there are so many new books to read~" Lucifer said with a grin, before stepping out of the bookstore, the door shutting behind him as he left, leaving Wanda alone once again.
'What did I do to deserve this?' Wanda wondered, it had been a pretty normal day before Lucifer himself had appeared, as she had a few customers before him, including a cute mother and her daughter who had bought some new story books, as well as picture books for the little one to learn from.
She had also gotten more teens in for comics, most of them being interested in Invincible, with a few of them picking up some of the manga she had, which included One Punch Man, the most popular pick out of them all, My Hero Academia coming a close second.
'I suppose that is my own fault for using my power without thinking of the reactions it may cause by those that can sense it' Wanda thought, understanding that beings of a higher power could likely sense her power.
As she continued to contemplate her recent life decisions, the door opened as she looked up, only to smile as she recognized the young man walking in.
"Already back for more?" It was in fact, Dick. This was the third day he had visited her shop, in a row. He had become a frequent buyer as of recent, mostly going for the comics, but also going for some manga too.
"Yep! Man I did not expect Omniman to go full psycho! Killing the Guardians of the globe like that? Brutal, not to mention villainous. Any hints on why he did it?" Dick asked, as he walked over and grabbed the next three issues.
"Nope, you have to continue reading if you want to find out. And what about the manga I recommended?"
"It was...different, but fun different. Saitama kinda reminds me of Superman but like...bald and not able to fly...and probably weaker too. Oh, and can I get 3 more of issues 1 to 3 for Invincible? I want to show my friends it, I think they'll love it just like I did" Dick asked, as Wanda chuckled and reached down into her desk which held a small stack of extra comics, handing him 9 comics for his friends.
"You know Dick, I've gotta ask, why do you keep returning to my shop so often? I'm sure there are others around here that have more options that are more your style" Wanda asked, sipping on her tea as the teen snorted.
"Please, Gotham is a cesspool with little in terms of enjoyment. Your shop has the best of the best when it comes to comics, not only the newest stuff, but also new ones you made yourself, I can't think of any other bookstore that does that. Not to mention all the rare books you sell too! My...caretaker is going crazy over that "Basics of Quantum Mechanics" you gave me, says it's "Beyond anything of it's area" whatever that means" Dick responded, causing Wanda to raise an eyebrow.
'I know that Reed is a genius, but to have Batman himself praise him? Guess he's a genius not only in 616 but also in this universe. Wonder how they'd react to some of Tony's inventions' Wanda thought, imagining the absolute carnage it would cause should she introduce the new element the man had found, which may or may not be possible in this universe, she wasn't entirely sure.
'I'd test it but I know little in regards to science like that. I suppose I'll have to start reading up on it sooner or later'
"How come your caretaker hasn't come here himself yet? Is he shy?" Wanda asked, deciding to cover the fact that she knew exactly who he was. She wasn't fearful of any of the Justice League members or anything, but she just couldn't be bothered to deal with them hounding her on how she knew. Afterall, she just wanted to be a bookstore owner.
"Bruce, shy? Pfft, please. Nah, he's planning on visiting soon, but he's been busy with some other stuff. I'm sure you'll see him come by soon. Same with my friends actually, I plan on bringing them by next time I come here, if that's alright" Dick said, as Wanda nodded with a small smile.
"That's alright with me. We have chairs for a reason, Dick. I even serve tea and coffee for those that wish to pay" Wanda said, as it was true, she offered tea and coffee for those that wished to read in her little store, as it was pretty comfortable, and she has already had a couple of older people do it.
"Do you do sodas?"
"Yep, soda, tea, coffee, even smoothies. It'll just cost you more is all" Wanda replied with a shrug as she didn't mind creating them, it wouldn't be difficult or anything.
At the response, Dick grinned, deciding he would definitely be taking advantage of that soon, as he had been looking for a good hangout spot in the city, one that wasn't under constant watch from Bruce, or wasn't a shit hole, and this little store seemed perfect!
"Alright then, be ready to make some drinks for us next time I'm around, see you later Miss Maximoff!" Dick said as he waved bye to her and stepped through the door, leaving Wanda alone, a fond smile on her face, completely over the interaction with Lucifer, as she leaned back in her chair once again, thoughts on her mind as she did so.
'...I think I'm really going to like it here'

That's the end of the chapter!
The next chapter will have another customer and she'll soon go out into the city for a bit. As she won't remain solely within the bookstore, but will be in there a lot, as you'd assume from a...you know, bookstore fanfic.
And she has met Lucifer! Not sure if I wrote him well, but I tried my best. He'll be a frequent customer of hers, so we'll be seeing more of him.
Anyways, have a good day!
