Chapter 1: Pokémon Adventures
~Azure S. POV~
[The Void of Guild of Gamers]
You know, when someone dies, one would think they'll be at peace, ya know? Not whatever this is… space is.
Ya know, being in the form of a ball of light. I'm assuming it's my soul.
I'm not gonna complain about how I died. I did end the story there. Just a simple accident gone wrong- say no simpler than that.
Sure, I had good parents and caring friends, but it can't matter much with me being, ya know, dead. This is just the cycle of life, man, and shit just happens.
Although I could do without the depressing void-like atmosphere. Wonder if I can chill around till I cease to exist or something else…
Where will I go in this void-like area, though, is the terrifying thought if I'm being completely honest. There's just darkness stretching in this place, making feel very eerily like the backrooms as my vision blurs…
Welp! Time to cease to exist and chill before my inevitability – and I see a rectangle-shaped popup screen appear in front of me, causing me to be amused.
[Ding!]
[After reviewing your life and background checks, you have been given an offer to have a second chance at life or proceed to the afterlife!]
[You have caught the attention of Jack Nights, having the required criteria needed to be a member of the Guild of Gamers!]
[Game over. Life is over.]
[Do you wish to play a new game we call life?]
[Merely join the Guild after reading the [Contracts] tab here. After doing so, you are allowed the choice to pass the afterlife or gain the chance to relive your story path. [Accept]/[Deny]?]
Pausing at this, I was confused. When checking the [Contracts] on the screen, another pop-up shows like those warning signs.
This was something, but hey, I'm not gonna lie about whether I get to continue or not. Let me see what it says here….
When I die, he gains my abilities… guaranteed and insured he won't interfere… and will provide the choice of worlds you wish to be sent to the best of his ability… granting 3 skills of my choice before entering the world…
The fuck? I read the last part carefully, trying to understand the concept of why adding this phrasing to the contract…
I just merely don't become a cancer or multiverse parasite to other worlds. I made sure to read this twice, comprehending that.
Seriously? Did someone do that and get away with it?
Nice. But in all seriousness, after reading the contracts and information I accepted, the screen soon changed, providing me with the options of worlds. And I do mean plenty of worlds provided termed as Story Modes.
[Select Your Story Mode:
[Fairy Tail]
[Pokémon]
[DC]
[Attack on Titans]
[Godzilla Earth]
[Danganronpa]
[Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood]…]
Hmm… I'm not gonna lie; there are plenty of options for me to choose from. However, which ones should I pick to live my new life?
Each world has its advantages and disadvantages. Depending on which world I could be good living in or screwed over if my media knowledge isn't good enough. And that's only accounting canon events, to boot. Things like crossovers or game/novel media could also be things to consider.
Fortunately, though, if I had to pick a world… I would pick this one. This one is my favorite, and I have read all its novels despite the controversy of people's opinions.
[Ding!]
[You have selected the world of animals beating the shit out of each other [Pokémon]!
[Would you like to have the settings for an extra challenge?
-Easy (Pussy)
-Normal
-Hardcore
Once you have made your choice, you can no longer change the options once you go through your second life.]
I smiled, or if I could, I would be smiling at my choice. That's one reason plenty of Pokémon Trainer Waifu's, but probably sticking to one gal, to be honest.
Or not, depending on what happens. I gazed at the settings for my challenge, reading the contents carefully.
[Easy (Pussy): It means what it says pussy. Pick this, then why did I bother having you enter? Entering this mode will grant you a simple reincarnation in the world without the benefits provided, wishing you the best of luck in your second chance at life.]
[Standard: Standard will grant the user the ability to do quest-gaining rewards. But it will drop the Player into the world at the very start of the series, giving them a few days to adapt and make means for themselves, granting the choice of where to come.]
[Hardcore: This is meant for players who don't rely on Quest gaining extra perks compared to the constant Quest in the [Standard] setting. The extra perks you're given a background of a person in that world without worrying about your profile while having a single ability customized that fits the world but must not break the mold of the world.]
Interesting... compared to the others, I kind of like the [Hardcore] option. And it said it involved extra perks compared to the others, right?
However, considering that I'm going into the Pokémon Adventures world, I would no doubt become the strongest human, but that's not what it's all about. I wonder…
Hey, the guy who made this gamer system, I've got a deal for you! Something that might interest you!
After waiting for a few seconds, I guess he won't show up. Shame and I have an interesting idea –
[Guild Master: You have my interest calling me out. You said you have something to make me interested in your offer?]
Nodding at this, I began to explain to the creator, or, I suppose, Guild Master, my idea of using the Gamer System differently, at least for my playthrough. Beginning to explain to the Guild Master, my proposal seemed to have interested him greatly.
[Guild Master: Hmm… a genuine Pokémon style adventure, huh? With their game mechanics instead of the usual style of level-ups or stats, hmm? I'll allow it just for this gameplay since this is Pokémon, after all. That and Arceus won't be an ass concerning my Gamer ruining his world…]
Confused about the last part. What did he mean? I didn't get much time till I was shown a screen. I don't know why, but I felt my eyes twitch seeing this… if I had eyes. Regardless, I read the screen texts that popped up.
[In the world that you are about to enter, you will embark on a grand adventure with you as the hero. Speak to people and check things wherever you go, be it towns, roads, or caves. Gather information and hints from every source.]
[New paths will open to you by helping people in need, overcoming challenges, and solving mysteries. At times, you will be challenged by others and attacked by wild creatures. Be brave and keep pushing on.]
[Through your adventure, we hope that you will interact with all sorts of people and achieve personal growth. That is our biggest objective. Press the A Button, and let your adventure begin!]
… Okay, now I know for sure he freaking got that from Fire Red intro. Sighing, I saw text boxes open up as I read through them, even showing a professor who was way too attractive to be from the Pokémon World.
[Guild Master: Hello there! Glad to meet you! Welcome to the world of Pokémon! My name is Jack Nights! People affectionately refer to me as your Guild Master and God. But for now, I'm merely a Pokémon Professor.]
The text screen soon showed him with a Pokeball. It opened to reveal a fucking Charizard as he looked smug.
Damn… this guy certainly knows how to rub his face to me. Continuing to listen…
[Guild Master: This world… is inhabited far and wide by creatures called Pokémon. For some people, Pokémon are pets. Others we use for battle. As for myself… I study Pokémon as a part-time profession. But first, tell me a little about yourself. Now tell me. Are you a boy? Or are you a girl?]
If I had an expression, it would be blank while reading this. Sigh… I'm a boy. Seemingly understanding me, the Guild Master grinned as he continued.
[Guild Master: Let's begin with your name. What is it?]
[Please insert your name: ____]
Seeing this, I input my name on the screen. Can't believe I have to do this one.
When everything was done, the screen showed up again, revealing where I would go. And what the Guild Master says next.
[All preparations are complete! Hope you enjoy your New Life!]
[Guild Master: Right… so your name is AZURE SKY. Azure! Your very own Pokémon legend is about to unfold! A world of dreams and adventures awaits with Pokémon! Let's go! And yes, I know which region you'll be in, and beginner set to continue!]
In a flash of rainbow kaleidoscope light, I grinned as I got to see myself. Time to game on!

[Kanto Region, Pallet Town – Near Route 1]
Opening my eyes, I woke up in a forest somewhere deep in the woods. But I refused to give in to that feeling.
A glance at my hand showed that this was all very real. Not only that, but I seemed to be younger, but I shook my head and checked my pockets. I said to myself, eyes narrowing at my phone, "What the fuck?"
Revealing my phone happens the Arc Phone. The actual Arc Phone, as I pressed the button in the middle, the screen turned to life. Upon doing so, a text showed up explaining the stitch to me.
[If you are reading this, then welcome to the world of Pokémon, Azure Sky! This item is the Arc Phone, and with it, you'll be able to access lots of things needed for your survival in this Pokémon World! Also, to know your 'abilities,' say the 'MENU' mentally or by the command to get started!]
Blinking a bit surprised, the screen turned off to reveal two apps. The Map was there, and one named Pokedex.
Curious by this predicament, I did as the phone told me to do. MENU. When I thought that, a screen popped up, startling me!
----
[Arc Phone]
[Pokémon] (None)
[Boxes]
[Sub-Space]
[Trainer Card]
[Observe]
[Options]

When I thought so, information filled my head, and I instantly grasped what I could do. My [Sub-Space] does as it sounds, allowing me to store items immediately taking out the iconic items.
Then, I began to use the ability God granted me. [Observe] It isn't as OP as it sounds. It is only a description of things or levels of Pokémon, and no abilities are shown, just the bare basics.

Amazing. I couldn't help but marvel at the amazingness of my abilities.
Being too absorbed, I checked my [Trainer Card] either through my Arc Phone or by interface showing an image of myself. But then I noticed the info itself, which made me freeze in place.
|Name: -
|Age: 11
|Affiliation: -
|Home: -
|Rank: -
|Party: None
|Money: ₽10,000
I stared at it for a moment, frowning. This was a bit too good to be true. Granted, it made me smile having 10,000 Poke Dollars at the start till I was reminded that was it that the Guild Master was willing to provide.
Another thing he mentioned is that I won't be given any Quest to get rare items either. Only knowledge since my starting area is already a good start according to him. And the only way to change my Trainer Card info is by completing the Trainer License.
Before I can even worry about that, I need to get a Pokémon first. Hopefully, I can find one that'll click with me after all…
Grinning widely, I muttered in an excited tone as I felt the challenge of the world with the wind brushing against my face, "I wanna be the very best like no one ever was... a Pokémon Master."
