2 years later
Lasiya had just finished putting her sons to bed.
"Are they asleep?" Soham asked quietly.
"Yes" Lasiya said.
"Do you want to drink some beer?"
"Okay, sure"
Soham summoned a bottle of beer from the cold closet, and two glasses, the glasses floated in the air and the beer bottle opened on its own and poured it on the glasses and they both started drinking and talking.
"Our boys are growing up" Lasiya said. "Feels like yesterday that they hatched from their egg."
"It feels like yesterday we used to fight as kids, Lasiya, and now we have kids!" Soham laughed "Time flies, someday they'll become men, marry a beautiful woman, and become parents."
"How are you so sure they'll marry a woman, what if they marry a man instead?" Lasiya laughed.
"Well, anything is fine as long as I get grandchildren" Soham sipped his beer. "You know what would go great with this? Fried chicken!"
"Oooh yeah, there's some raw chicken left from today"
"Let's make it" Soham said using his hands to gesture the cold closet and cupboard to open, and the chicken and the spices to marinate.
Lasiya poured some oil in the pot. "Make sure to use the muffling charm, the boys might wake up" Lasiya said, and summoned two Flintstones to help light the fire.
In the nest, Yashvanth was woken up by Devrath.
"Yash, Yash!" Devrath poked him.
"What happened Bhratashree, let me sleep"
"Yashvanth, I'm having a bad foresight, something really bad is going to happen to Mataji and Pitashree." Devrath sounded worried. "And this time it's stronger than usual"
Yashvanth widened his eyes and got up. He was relieved to see his parents near the fireplace, his mom trying to light the fire with stones. Devrath got up too.
Yashvanth got down the nest. "Maa why are you using these stones when your Agni-Putra is there" He went to the fireplace and lit the fire in a jiffy. "What were you cooking?"
"You were frying chicken? Without us?" Devrath said glancing at the marinated chicken.
"We also want chicken now!" Yashvanth said.
"Okay okay kids, you'll have chicken too" Soham said, and he put the chicken on the heating pot.
"WHO'S THERE?" Lasiya shouted, looking out the window.
"Glad you asked" a voice said. "It's time for the end of Garud's legacy"
There was a tremor on the tree, and everyone got alert. Soham summoned a mace and Lasiya pulled out her axe. Yashvanth and Devrath also picked up a sword and a bow and a handful of arrows.
The door broke open and there were three men in cloaks.
"Who are you?" Lasiya said.
"You can't harm us" Soham said.
"Oh really?" One of the men aimed something at Devrath, which he quickly dodged, to see the decor on the wall behind him blast.
"You dare harm my son?" Soham ran towards him and pushed him outside. Lasiya ran after him and they both started fighting the cloaked men.
"We need to help them"
"Yes, we do"
The twins ran outside.
Devrath saw Lasiya battling two people at once with her axe, she even managed to shield herself except her hand. Devrath raised his bow and arrow and aimed it at one person. It went piercing through his chest, but he removed it and continued to fight.
Soham was fighting another man. He was engrossed in hitting the man with his mace, Yashvanth went and stabbed the man from behind. He turned back and drew a knife on Yashvanth's hand, leaving a deep cut. Yashvanth groaned in pain.
Lasiya and Devrath were fighting with the other two men, Lasiya was hitting one of them with her axe, making deep cuts on his body, however he was throwing spells at her, making burns on her skin. Devrath was shooting Arrows at both the men. He aimed an arrow in one of the man's eyes, gorging it out. He stopped fighting and fell down.
Soham was now in a hand-to-hand combat with the man, the man took out a sword and stabbed Soham.
Multiple times.
Yashvanth tried using his divine power to burn his hands, but the man was really strong.
Soham, although now bleeding so ferociously it was impossible to survive, said some mantras and threw something on the ground. "Yashvanth, fire at it" he said. "It'll create a blast and kill him" Soham pushed the man to the Asthra and Yashvanth fired at it. It created a blast, killing the man instantly.
"Pitashree! We did it! We killed him! Pitashree? Pitashree...PITASHRI"
Soham had been standing not too far, the blast had impacted him too, causing him to go flying and ram harshly against a tree. Yashvanth rushed to him.
His breathing had slowed down tremendously, and his whole body was bleeding.
"Son... I'm really... proud of you... you're really brave" He held Yashvanth's hand. "I'm so... sorry... I can't live any longer"
"Pitashree no, please don't leave us" Yashvanth cried.
"Yashvanth.... take care of yourself.... and your brother... and don't do too much mischief..." Soham smiled. "You are the Prince of Birds, Paksh-raj, okay?"
"Pitashree... Pitashree I'll go call the healers."
"Yashvanth, it's of no use, I know I won't survive... just, remember that I'll always be alive in your heart, okay? And Pitashree loves you and Devrath and Mataji" With that Soham breathed his last.
"ARYA!"
"Pitashree!"
Devrath ran to their dad and Lasiya limped right after. She had temporarily weakened the other man.
"Pitashree, Pitashree wake up!" Devrath cried.
The man whose eye had been stabbed had now gained back his strength and was making his way towards them.
Lasiya acted quickly and made a protective bubble around her sons. "If you're going to kill my sons, you have to kill me first"
Lasiya engrossed him in a duel, fighting bravely against the man. She stroke his hand and made a deep cut on his hand, almost chopping it off. He, however acted quickly, he aimed his sword at one of her wings, and sliced it from her body. She groaned in pain and the protective bubble came off the boys. Scarlett blood flowed from her back.
However, she managed to push the man and he hit a tree hardly, knocking him out for some time. As she was limping towards him to behead him with her axe, however, the other man had gotten up, he ran towards her before the twins could process what was happening, and stabbed a sword piercing through her heart.
She screamed in pain and fell down.
"Maa! Maa!" The twins rushed to her. But she was lying still, covered in blood.
Yashvanth had never felt angrier before. "YOU BASTARD" He rushed to his mom's killer. The child of fire was burning. Literally.
Devrath watched his brother, who was rushing to the man, his hand was producing tremendous fire. He held the man with both hands. The man shouted as he got engulfed in flames. He tried to escape, but found himself being held tightly by the flaming 10-year-old.
He got burned to ashes.
Yashvanth's fire died down. He looked shocked at the burned body. There was smell of burned dead bodies along with the smell of the burned chicken from inside, which remained forgotten.
"Bhrata Dev, what just happened?" He turned to Devrath, he went to him but Devrath stumbled back.
"Y-Y-Yashvanth, you burned him to ashes" Devrath said.
Yashvanth realized what happened was so dangerous, his own brother was afraid of him. He then saw his dead mother lying beside Devrath. He went to her.
The one-eyed man had gotten up again. He limped towards them. Yashvanth turned to see him drew out his sword, and Devrath pulled out his bow, but when he reached out to take an arrow, he found out that his arrows were over. Yashvanth stepped in front of Devrath. "Don't worry Bhratashree, I'm here"
The man was really strong, especially for a 10-year old boy who hadn't received proper training yet. He disarmed the boy with ease.
When some force pushed him away.
A tall person came floating in the air. He had used his magical powers to push him away.
Yoor Dev, the Lord of the forest.
A camp of bats came near and merged into a person. Kaalesh, the Vampire Prince.
Together they fought the man and succeeded in bringing him down and imprisoning him.
"Who are you, and what are you doing in my forest?" Yoor said.
"Kaal is the name, my boss told me to end Garud's legacy, I was just doing my job." He said.
"Have you been sent by Naagraj?" Khoonkar asked.
"He will take over the forest someday" he said. "He might be powerless now, but he will surely get it back."
"Imprison him, in the highest security vault" Yoor instructed Kaalesh, he picked him up with ease and flew to the mountain.
Yoor went to the crying children. "You both are really brave and strong" he said. "Just like your parents"
"Yoor Dev, can you please get them back?" Yashvanth cried.
Yoor sat down to come on level with Yashvanth. "I'm sorry, Yashvanth, nothing can bring back the dead" he said.
"Yashvanth? Devrath?" The twins turned to see their Mamaji flying down and they both rushed to him and hugged him. "An owl told me some people attacked your house." He said. "Where's Didi?" He looked around. "YOOR DEV!!" He sat and bowed down.
"Mama! Mata and Pitashree... those bad people killed them!" Devrath said.
The boys cried and hugged their uncle, who couldn't believe his dear sister and her husband were dead.
Yoor came to Lakhan. "Your nephews are really brave and strong; I've not seen 10-year-olds with such valor" he said.
Lakhan nodded. The lump in his throat wasn't allowing him to speak.
"It's a pity they lost their parents at such a young age"
Lakhan nodded again.
"They haven't been trained yet, right?"
Lakhan shook his head.
"They're really strong without getting trained, I'm pretty sure they'll be great warriors once they're trained." Yoor said. "You know Guru Athish right, I'm pretty sure he can train these boys well"
The funeral was held the next day, in the top of the hill where the whole forest had their funeral, and burned or buried their dead.
Lakhan got his wife and kids from West and stayed in the forest for a few weeks, until the boys were ready to go for training.
"Take good care of yourselves, boys, if you need anything your uncle and aunt are there, okay?" Lakhan said.
"And me too! Call me too!" Raghav said.
"Daju, train well, ok?" Nikita said. "And one day I will also train, and be a good warrior!" She smiled.
"Here, take some laddoos to enjoy" Maya said.
"They will surely make great warriors" Lakhan said looking at his nephews head to the Training camp.
