Chapter 174 - The Proposal of Exile

(Opening Scene: The devastated training grounds of Lumina Academy in Aetheria stand as a stark testament to Zane and Astrid's uncontrolled power. Headmaster Theron, Lady Elara, Xander, and Professor Vanya discuss the implications.)

Headmaster Theron surveyed the void, a thoughtful expression on his face. "The council's reaction to this… will be severe, I fear. We need to consider all options, not just for the safety of Aetheria, but for Zane and Lady Astrid themselves. Direct confinement or magical suppression… it could stifle their potential, perhaps even destabilize their connection further."

He turned to the others, his gaze resolute. "I have a… perhaps unconventional idea. What if we were to send them beyond our borders? Aetheria, while possessing its own unique strengths, is not the only magically significant country in this world. There are others with distinct magical traditions and histories, some far more… volatile."

He paused, considering his words carefully. "If Zane and Lady Astrid were to travel to a country… say, Solara, a nation known for its untamed elemental energies and ancient connections to the very fabric of magic, they might find better opportunities to understand and control their combined power. Solara's mages have a long history of working with raw, untamed forces. They might offer guidance we cannot."

He continued, his gaze shifting to Zane and Astrid. "Furthermore, such a journey might also serve their personal quests. Different countries hold different histories, different secrets. They might encounter knowledge, artifacts, or even individuals who could shed light on Zane's past and the origins of their intertwined abilities."

Lady Elara considered the proposal, her initial apprehension warring with a flicker of intrigue. "Solara… it is a powerful country, but also fiercely independent. Securing their entry and ensuring their safety would be… challenging."

Xander, ever the scholar, leaned forward. "Solara's archives are rumored to contain texts on magical convergences unlike any we possess. And their understanding of elemental bindings… it's far more advanced."

Professor Vanya nodded slowly. "It's a risk, Headmaster, but it might be a necessary one. Keeping such volatile power contained within Aetheria, especially without understanding it, could be far more dangerous in the long run."

Headmaster Theron looked at Zane and Astrid, his expression earnest. "It would be a journey fraught with peril, but also with immense potential for growth and discovery. What do you think?"
