Location: Jujutsu High – Dorm Rooftop
Maki sat on the edge of the rooftop, the cold tile pressing through her uniform pants. Her blade rested across her knees, untouched. Unused.
She hadn't slept. Not since last night.
"Yours is a dangerous heart."
The words kept replaying. Not loud. Not sharp. Just soft. Quiet. And heavy.
He didn't say it like an insult. Or even a warning. He said it like a truth he'd known for a while—like he was just waiting for her to realize it too.
And she had.
She remembered the look in his eyes when he said it—those sharp silver irises that didn't flinch from anything. She'd seen men twice her size break under that gaze. But when it landed on her, it didn't crush her.
It ignited her.
She clenched the edge of her blade, knuckles white.
"What are you doing to me, Leon…?"
She wasn't the type to fall. Not like this. Not at all.But with him—it wasn't softness that pulled her in.
It was the silence. The way he never asked for loyalty but made her want to give it.
And it terrified her.
"If he leaves… if he vanishes from this world like a ghost…"
She didn't know what she'd do.
Elsewhere — Leon's Perspective
A soft system ping echoed in his mind.
[Subject: Maki Zenin][Loyalty: 78% → 89%][Mental State: Turbulent — Protective Instincts Amplifying][Yandere Protocols: Dormant (Waking Phase)]
Leon narrowed his eyes, exhaling.
"Tch. It's accelerating…"
He looked out toward the training field.
Even now, she was watching. Not openly—but he could feel it.
And beneath her growing obsession… there was something purer too. A need. A quiet cry for someone to believe in her without condition.
He wasn't sure if he was capable of giving that.
But some part of him—buried deep—wanted to try.
"Dangerous," he whispered again. "But maybe… so am I."
