Chapter 10 - The World Origin

Before the rise of mankind, dragons ruled the world. They were among the first creatures to walk the earth, their very existence born from the flames of Hell itself. The Dragon King, the first of their kind, was said to have been forged from the Hellfire, an embodiment of raw power. Over time, dragons began to breed, creating a vast, majestic habitat, their wings spanning the skies, their bodies etched with the very elements of the world. They were the origin of magic, beings of untold strength, feared even by demons.

But as centuries passed, the dragons began to evolve. What were once mighty dragons now became wyverns, each changing to adapt to their surroundings. With each transformation, their power waned, and their once indomitable presence began to falter.

A thousand years later, the world was torn asunder by the first Great War—Demon versus Dragon. The demons grew more cunning with time, while the dragons grew weaker. The younger dragons, unaccustomed to hunting and battle, were ill-prepared for the war. Their numbers dwindled as they struggled to survive, and in desperation, the dragons turned to humanity. They taught humans

magic, and Raphael, the first human wizard, established the Wizard Tower in Dracia, the land now known as the Heart of Magic.

With dragons and humans united, the tide of the war began to turn in their favor. But betrayal struck like a dagger in the dark. Karnak, one of the mightiest dragons—second only to the Dragon King—betrayed his kin. In league with the demons, Karnak slaughtered the Dragon Elders, and once again, the war swung in favor of the demons.

The war raged on for centuries, each side suffering unimaginable losses, but the end was never in sight. Desperation led the Dragon King to make a fateful decision: to use the World Treasure, the Veil of Duskborne, to seal the demons in their realm and the dragons away from the human world. Once the task was done, the Dragon King, drained and weary, rejuvenated into a young dragon and fell into a deep, eternal sleep, hidden from all who sought him.

It is said that one day, he will return.

Five thousand years later, the veil between worlds has begun to thin. Demons, once sealed away, have started to spill into the human world once again. And with them, the dragons are returning.

"Your Highness, there have been several reports of dragon sightings in the west."
