Chapter 14 - Chapter 14: Accidentally Touching My Breast

Chapter 14: Accidentally Touching My Breast

A strong gust of wind blew.

The dress fluttered wildly—almost flipping up to my face.

Damn it.

Being a pretty girl was a full-time job. So much effort, so much hassle.

As I struggled to hold my dress down, I caught sight of Mr Aunt… smiling.

Now, what would you do if someone with a face as cold as ice suddenly smiled at you—and it was a breathtaking smile, too?

As for me? My heart skipped a beat.

I had never seen anyone smile so beautifully.

I stood there, dumbfounded, staring at Mr Aunt.

He seemed a little flustered and immediately turned away.

Why did he always wear that emotionless, steel mask?

For what?

Still, how annoying. Instead of helping me when he saw me struggling, he just stood there and laughed.

How rude.

Today, my class had a full day of lessons. Usually, during lunch break, Duyên and I would head to the library to study. The first period of the morning was Mr Aunt's class. I obediently kept my head down on the desk, not daring to read boy's love today. There was no way I had the guts to attract Mr Aunt's attention, let alone challenge him. Only I knew how nervous I actually was. Last night, I went out and got caught up in some trouble, so I hadn't had time to prepare for class.

Mr Aunt walked to my desk and placed his hand down, signaling for me to go up to the board. What?! I wasn't even misbehaving—why was I being targeted? This was bad. In the end, I couldn't escape being humiliated by Mr Aunt. I stood up, my face heavy as lead, my head spinning. Maybe my injured leg couldn't handle the weight of my lead-heavy face, because my body wobbled, and I almost fell—fortunately, I managed to grab onto Mr Aunt.

I didn't know whether to laugh or cry at this moment. One of my hands clung to Mr Aunt's arm, while the other landed straight on his chest—and even squeezed quite hard. Mr Aunt's arm was really firm, making me want to hold on forever. I mentally scolded myself. My weakness for handsome men was truly incurable.

If this were a movie, I'd be the male protagonist, and Mr Aunt would be the female lead disguised as a man. This kind of scene would surely spark romantic tension between us, and the male lead would be left in a daze after touching the female lead's chest.

But this wasn't a movie, and I was a girl.

A mischievous thought popped into my head—should I squeeze a little harder? Mr Aunt wouldn't dare cry out in pain, and I'd feel a bit avenged. After all, he made me tremble in fear for so long. Mr Aunt's chest was actually quite full and firm, but after this incident, I could confirm one thing—he was definitely a real man.

I stole a glance at Mr Aunt, who was trying to maintain a calm expression, but his face was gradually turning pale. Yes, pale—not red. Before I could figure out what to do, Duyên suddenly stood up.

"I volunteer to answer the question," she said.

Mr Aunt nodded, signaling Duyên to go up to the board, then gave me a sharp glare.

"You… still haven't let go."

I was innocent! It wasn't like I was intentionally taking advantage of Mr Aunt. My injured leg, combined with my fear of him, had led to this accident. If anything, Mr Aunt was half at fault, and the other half was on that damn handsome guy from last night. I was completely blameless.

I quickly pulled my hand away, gave an awkward smile, and sat back down.

Mr Aunt walked straight to the board, his expression as stern and rigid as ever. But for the rest of the class, he didn't look at me even once, nor did he come near my seat. Was he afraid I'd grope him again?

At the end of class, Mr Aunt picked up his laptop and coldly announced, "Vũ Trang Vân, come to the faculty office."

My heart nearly jumped out of my chest. Why was I suddenly being invited to the faculty office for tea? There was no school rule against "touching a lecturer's chest," was there?

Still, I kept a composed face as if nothing had happened and followed Mr Aunt to the office.

He gestured for me to sit down and poured me a glass of water. Then, he calmly turned on his laptop and stared at the screen. I held the glass in my hands but had no mood to drink. I was dying to know what crime I had committed.

"Sir, may I ask why I was called here?" I asked.

Mr Aunt glanced at me, the corner of her mouth curling into a faint smile. It seemed like he was holding back a bigger grin.

"Microsoft is planning to invest heavily in Vietnam," he began. "As a result, major Vietnamese software companies and Microsoft are collaborating to seek out young IT talents. The program is open to anyone, but university students are encouraged to participate and can skip the preliminary round. Additionally, selected students will receive funding for research and development.

"Our university has been criticized for being weaker in practical applications and stronger in research. The principal wants to boost the school's reputation by having one of our students win the gold award."
