1. CORE MAGICAL ENERGIES
Magic within the fractured world of Realms Collide stems from unstable energies that now bleed across dimensions. Every major system derives its power from one or more of these core sources.
🔹 Soul Magic
Origin: Minecraft DungeonsCore Principle: Strength drawn from the essence of defeated creatures. Soul power accumulates and can be bound to tools, armor, and artifacts.
Applications:
Healing and regeneration through ambient soul energy
Summoning spiritual entities (wolves, clones, soul phantoms)
Weapon empowerment (Soulfire, Leeching, Soulburst)
Cursed armor that levels with the user's kill count
Notable Traits:
Soul cores grow stronger with proximity to the Quiet Deep and ancient Dungeons.
Overuse can lead to spectral hallucinations or possession.
🟥 Command Magic
Origin: Minecraft Story ModeCore Principle: Power derived from ancient Command Blocks—objects capable of rewriting the rules of reality.
Applications:
Short-term world manipulation (cloning, altering gravity, time rewind)
Weapon duplication and behavior scripting
Structure control and summoning
Corrupt entity manipulation (e.g., Wither Storm fragment control)
Notable Traits:
Command Shards (fragments of Command Blocks) offer minor abilities.
Full command blocks are reality-breaking and considered unstable even when inactive.
A user bonded to command energy will slowly be "written into code."
🟣 Echo Magic
Origin: The End + New LoreCore Principle: Time, space, and reality can be bent using Echo Crystals—void-infused matter linked to The Echo Realm.
Applications:
Short-term teleportation
Creating time ghosts (shadows of past versions of the user)
Viewing alternate outcomes of choices
Fragmenting self into illusory versions
Notable Traits:
Echo Magic requires clarity of mind—overuse causes time bleed (e.g., repeating moments, visions from other timelines).
Echo Enchantments cannot coexist with Command-based ones.
🧱 Redstone Arcana
Origin: Minecraft Dungeons + JavaCore Principle: The fusion of machinery and mystical energy into self-powered devices, weapons, and constructs.
Applications:
Automation of spells and combat
Trap summoning, turret deployment
Powered weapons (Arc Blast, Auto-Sentry Crossbows)
Redstone Armor with built-in kinetic engines
Notable Traits:
Can be corrupted by Echo energy, creating glitching constructs
Devices must be manually maintained or recharged
🌿 Wild Magic
Origin: Overworld AnomaliesCore Principle: A primal form of energy unleashed during the collapse of dimensional boundaries—unpredictable and organic.
Applications:
Nature-based abilities (summoning vines, roots, animal spirits)
Mutation-based buffs (changing form, growing claws, healing skin)
Environmental influence (causing rain, fog, rapid crop growth)
Notable Traits:
Wild Magic is largely chaotic, and no two spells ever cast exactly the same way
Often used by Greenhollow Seekers and Deep Forest Illagers
☠️ Void & Forbidden Magic
Origin: Echo Dragon's core, Hollow Storms, Wither CultsCore Principle: Unstable, anti-reality energy able to delete or unmake elements of the world
Applications:
Corrupt mobs into void-touched variants
Create impossible shapes (tesseracts, non-Euclidean space)
Form black holes or portals to nowhere
Control memory and erase existence
Notable Traits:
Only usable through Void Sigils, Admin Cores, or rituals using Echo Wells
Forbidden by every sane faction; often leads to madness or dimensional decay
2. MAGICAL SYSTEMS 🧷 Binding Rules
Each artifact can bond with one user only (soul imprinting)
A user can only master two magic types without risking corruption
Certain powers interact negatively (Command + Echo cause rift tears)
🛠 Power Progression
Soul Power increases with enemy kills (like an experience system)
Command Magic requires shards, which must be earned or stolen
Echo Magic is limited by memory stability; users must train mental control
Wild Magic reacts emotionally—rage boosts damage, fear causes scatter-casting
Redstone Arcana requires resource upkeep and tech crafting knowledge
⚛️ Energy Fusion
Some users discover fusion spells, combining multiple energy types. Examples:
Echo-Fire Trap: Redstone Arcana + Echo Magic = a turret that replays its shots twice
Soul-Vine Grip: Soul Magic + Wild Magic = roots animated by trapped spirits
Void-Storm Golem: Command Magic + Void Magic = a golem whose body erases nearby terrain as it walks
💀 Arcane Corruption
Users abusing high-tier powers face corruption phases:
Phase I: Feedback – headaches, sudden loss of control
Phase II: Bleeding Time – repeated moments, losing present tense
Phase III: Null State – user begins glitching out of reality
Artifacts can delay this, but only The Vault of Sleepers is known to reverse full corruption.
🔮 3. MAJOR ARTIFACT CATEGORIES
🟦 Soul Artifacts
Soul Artifacts draw on the raw spiritual energy of defeated mobs. These relics pulse with an eerie glow and seem to whisper when held too long. They are most commonly found in the Quiet Deep, Soulforged vaults, or dungeons corrupted by soul resonance.
Soul Healer Root: A gnarled fragment of ancient root wrapped in glowing soulweave. When carried, it gently heals the bearer and nearby allies by siphoning soul particles from the environment. It's subtle, slow, but reliable in prolonged fights.
Phantom Flute: A bone-carved flute that, when played, summons a spectral wolf for a short time. The wolf is semi-corporeal, immune to most physical damage, and fiercely loyal — perfect for lone adventurers.
Hollow Lantern: An ornate lantern filled with swirling violet mist. Capturing the soul of an enemy within this lantern allows the user to project an illusionary duplicate of that foe for thirty seconds. Confuses enemies or buys time to escape.
Spectral Crown: A ghostly, weightless crown that grants the wearer temporary levitation. However, its presence draws nearby Wraiths, drawn to reclaim what was once theirs. Useful in emergencies, but always a risk.
🔶 Command Relics
Relics of the Builders' age, Command Relics tap into fractured pieces of ancient command block magic. Even a fragment can rewrite physics — though the more powerful relics are unstable, even sentient. They are sought by warlords, scholars, and madmen.
Admin Core: A flickering shard of the original Admin's command block, barely stable. When slotted into a power conduit or relic altar, it can duplicate structures — temporarily. Dangerous to use without containment runes.
Shard of Recall: A jagged blue gem that remembers where it's been. Activating it instantly returns the user to their position from ten seconds earlier. It's favored by assassins and relic thieves.
Code Etcher: A runic tool that allows the user to "write" simple one-line commands into nearby blocks. Commands last about five minutes — walls can become passable, gravity can reverse, or blocks can move. Requires extreme caution.
Wither Driver: A handheld relic fused with corrupted command code. Allows brief control over Wither-type entities. Overuse can attract Wither Storm fragments or trigger mutation in nearby mobs.
🟣 Echo Crystals & Devices
Echo-based magic is unpredictable and deeply tied to The End. These artifacts often feel cold to the touch, vibrate with silent frequencies, or reflect false images. Most must be activated during Echo surges — storms of warped time and energy.
Eye of the Echo: A glowing iris-shaped gem, said to reflect more than just vision. Holding the Eye allows the user to relive the last ten seconds and choose an alternate outcome. Reality shifts — subtly, or catastrophically.
Null Sigil: A carved stone plate infused with Void Ink. Activating the sigil causes the user to become incorporeal for a few seconds, allowing them to phase through walls or evade attacks. It's incredibly useful, but leaves a shadow behind.
Echo Blade: A warped longsword forged from Echo metal. When it strikes, the hit doesn't land immediately — it echoes forward in time, striking after a delay. Difficult to master, but devastating in skilled hands.
Fractal Mirror: A handheld obsidian disk that, when focused on, spawns three illusionary clones of the user. These shadows move in delayed mimicry and confuse enemies long enough for an escape — or a deadly strike.
🟥 Redstone Arcana Tools
These artifacts are part machine, part sorcery. Created by combining advanced Redstone engineering with magic cores, they operate autonomously or amplify their user's tactical capabilities. Commonly used by Furnace Guild engineers or Zurnak tacticians.
Pulse Cannon Core: A compact sphere built of metal and Redstone spirals. When activated, it unleashes a radial shockwave that knocks back and damages all nearby mobs. Ideal for crowd control in tight spaces.
Auto-Forge Gauntlets: Red-glowing armored gloves that auto-craft Redstone devices in the field. Need a tripwire launcher or spike trap? The gauntlets disassemble nearby junk and build it in seconds. A builder's best friend in battle.
Golem Seed: A palm-sized cube that, when thrown, unfolds into a temporary Redstone Golem. The golem follows basic commands and lasts about 45 seconds or until destroyed. It's a mini-bodyguard, summoned on demand.
Gearheart Pendant: A warm, humming pendant worn around the neck. It emits a field that boosts nearby mechanical allies, from turrets to golems. They move faster, hit harder, and last longer — a perfect synergy tool.
🌿 Wild Magic Items
These artifacts are born of the chaotic surge between realms, forged by primal forces from forests, swamps, and storms. Wild Magic items are alive in some sense, and many require emotional resonance to function properly.
Thorn Totem: A hand-carved effigy made of bramble and bone. When placed, it roots enemies within a short radius, tangling them in vines and reducing movement drastically. Reacts to rage, blooming faster when the user is wounded.
Bloomerang: A blooming plant in the shape of a throwing disc. When thrown, it circles the user before returning, exploding into spores that slow and blind. Grows a new bloom every dawn.
Heartwood Mantle: A living cloak woven from forest-thread. While worn, the user heals slowly whenever they are near foliage or nature — perfect for deep forest survival. Fire severely weakens it.
Vine Lash: A whip-like tendril harvested from a Rift-grown jungle root. Can be used to pull enemies closer, snag items from afar, or even grapple terrain. The lash writhes when not in use, always hungry.
☠️ Forbidden Relics
These are the worst mistakes of ancient sorcery — unstable, dangerous, and hunted by every major faction. Most are powered by Void cores or broken command laws, and their use always comes at a cost. They are usually found buried deep within echo vaults, or dropped by elite corrupted mobs.
Voidheart: A cold-black crystalline heart that emits a pulse every ten seconds. Each pulse drains life from all living entities nearby, healing the user. It cannot be turned off, and may kill allies if worn too long.
The Hollow Star: A shimmering orb forged from pure End crystal and void matter. Throwing it creates a miniature black hole that pulls mobs, blocks, and even light into itself before detonating. Unstable and unpredictable.
Corrupted Totem: Looks like a standard Totem of Undying, but twisted. When held, it blocks lethal damage — but instead of saving the body, it deletes the memory of what just occurred. Useful, terrifying, and deeply disorienting.
Shattered Sigil: A fragmented command relic with no known pattern. Each time it's activated, it casts a different spell — healing, explosions, illusions, reality shifts — or simply does nothing. It cannot be trusted, but can't be ignored.
