Kwabena was siting on a chair on the veranda reminiscing about his late Grandfather.
Those Memories keep playing on his mind like a movie.
His face was changing from sadness to anger to regret to happiness and sadness again with him sighing occasionally.
He had been sitting there for the past hour with his expressions mirroring his inner turmoil.
His mother always tells him,It is is the Lord who gives and vise versa. So in all things, give thanks to the lord.
But he always did wonder, did God have to take him away?
Was that the right thing to do?
He had so many questions to ask God but never had the chance to.
He had heard that people converse with the Lord through prayers which he doesn't know if it is true or not but Kwabena doesn't think he would know at this time in his life because he knows he is not yet at the the level of those devoted believers like Moses,Elijah etc.
Nothing has ever gone his way.
A car had almost run on him when he went to take a ball on the road.
At that time he was 2 years old.
He had had headaches since a ball knocked his head which led him to hit his head on a gate when they were playing football in primary 4.
A metal rod which was leaned against the wall bumped on his head which split open and worsened the injury.
That was in JHS 1.
He was almost run down by a car not once not twice but five times.
In one of the instances, the timber truck swerved from its path.
If he had moved left a second later, he wouldn't have lived to tell the tale.
He fainted in school when they were doing worship and praises which led him to miss an exam paper in JHS 2.
His injury in his head worsened when he sat at the BECE exams.
His head hurt from thinking too much.
His head was hurting crazily.
He couldn't think.
He was sneezing every 10 seconds.
Due to this he got aggregate 25 on his BECE.
But due to his luck that comes onces in a blue moon, he got a school.
In his SHS first exam he couldn't see anything on the paper.
Everything was blurry.
He sat the for 20 minutes before he got his eyesight back.
He contemplated if he should start wearing glasses but gave up as he didn't like wearing glasses.
He had tried many hospitals but none of the worked. He still sneezes everynight.
Sometimes he does not sleep because he was to busy sneezing and coughing when everyone is asleep.
It's even worse when all of his nose passages are closed.
He will be battling for air with his mouth open and still be sneezing on his handkerchiefs.
He always uses 5 to 6 handkerchiefs and even that 5 to 6 were never enough.
He even slipped and fell on the road one morning when he was off to buy food.
He felt dizzy so he layed flat on the road for some seconds before getting on to his feet.
Thank God that there was no car to be seen on the road at that instance.
He had had many of such accidents but he had live through them all.
