Joffrey couldn't concentrate on his classes that day. The tingling sensation in his fingertips had spread throughout his body, and he felt like he was vibrating with energy. He tried to focus on the lectures, but his mind kept wandering.
During lunch, Joffrey met up with Alex in the cafeteria. Alex noticed something was off and asked, "Dude, what's going on? You seem distracted."
Joffrey hesitated, unsure how to explain the strange sensations he was experiencing. "I don't know, man. I just feel... different."
Alex raised an eyebrow. "Different? What do you mean?"
Joffrey shrugged. "I don't know. Maybe I'm just stressed out or something."
But as they sat down to eat, Joffrey accidentally knocked over his tray, spilling food everywhere. As he reached out to clean up the mess, he touched Alex's arm.
Suddenly, Joffrey felt a surge of energy, and he saw flashes of Alex's memories and thoughts. He pulled his hand back, shocked.
"Whoa, what's going on?" Alex asked, startled.
Joffrey's eyes widened. "I... I don't know."
He realized that touching Alex had somehow allowed him to tap into his friend's mind. Joffrey's new abilities were starting to manifest, and he had no idea what was happening or how to control it.
