Chapter 26 - Chapter 26

Despite all her resistance and reluctance, Misty was eventually dragged by Kazuki into Cerulean City.

As soon as they entered, they were almost knocked over by a whirlwind blur—Officer Jenny.

"Sorry, sorry! There's been a theft up ahead—I need to go take care of it right away!"

"Officer Jenny?" Misty blinked in confusion, still unfamiliar with the Jenny family line.

"Hm? You two know me?" Jenny raised a brow.

"Aren't you the one from Viridian City? Why are you here in Cerulean?" Misty had rarely dealt with law enforcement growing up—thanks to being overshadowed by her sisters—so she barely recognized Cerulean's officer.

"Ah! That was my younger sister. Wait a sec—you know my sister? Don't tell me you two were up to no good!" Jenny reached for her handcuffs with a sly smile.

"Ah—Officer Jenny, you've got it all wrong! We're just Pokémon Trainers! We worked with your sister to help take down some criminals!" Kazuki quickly stepped in to clarify.

"Oh? You've got a really righteous aura about you!" Officer Jenny took a closer look at Kazuki and smiled. "Actually, you're kind of my type!"

"Alright then, you two be careful. I've got a case to deal with!"

Sure enough, Kazuki's boosted Justice Reputation was working like a charm—Jenny's first impression was already favorable.

As Kazuki waved goodbye, he turned back to find Misty staring at him with narrowed, suspicious eyes.

"Kazuki, since when are you so popular with older women?"

"Haha! Must be my natural charm. What's wrong? Jealous?" Kazuki grinned as he teased her.

"W-who's jealous?! If—if Officer Jenny found out you tried to eat me—"

Misty froze mid-sentence, realizing they were still out on the street. She quickly clammed up. "If she knew you were a perv, she'd throw you in jail!"

"Oh? I thought it was our ultimate secret—you're saying it out loud now?"

"Ah! No, no! You can't say anything!" Misty turned bright red, no match for Kazuki's teasing.

"Alright, alright—I won't spill. Let's go! I heard the aquarium here puts on a great show. Wanna go check it out?"

"Okay! Wait—huh? Where are you going?!"

By the time Misty responded, Kazuki was already ten meters ahead.

All the way there, Misty made awkward attempts to divert him elsewhere.

But it was no use—Kazuki led her straight into the Cerulean Aquarium, which also served as the Cerulean Gym's main arena.

Using his Trainer credentials, Kazuki was granted easy entry.

Inside, he saw Misty's three sisters—Daisy, Violet, and Lily—orchestrating a performance featuring several graceful Seel.

So white…!

And yes, Kazuki was referring to the sisters' long, pale legs.

Misty's three sisters were all gorgeous without exception, though sadly, their focus on beauty had left them lacking in the discipline department when it came to actual Pokémon training.

Which was why Cerulean Gym was considered the weakest in all of Kanto.

But that was fine. In the future, Misty would take over the Gym, and these three would just be eye candy in the background.

Four Water Blossoms, each with her own flavor to enjoy.

"Beautiful…" Kazuki couldn't help but murmur. If he had enough time, he'd love to build up Intimacy with each of them and capture them with an Adult Poké Ball. That would be quite the ride.

But judging by how the sisters mocked Misty more than cared for her, it would be tough to build affection with them while traveling together.

"Of course they're beautiful! Cerulean Gym specializes in Water-type Pokémon, after all!" Misty, ever the innocent one, assumed he was complimenting the Pokémon.

Kazuki just chuckled and kept admiring the trio of lovelies.

As if sensing something, the eldest sister Daisy waved from the platform after the performance, beckoning Misty over.

"Hey, Misty, those three gorgeous ladies are waving at us! Maybe they've got some special privileges for us!"

"P-privileges?! N-no way! They're just—ugh!" Misty stomped her foot, flustered. "Come on, let's go down. You'll find out soon enough."

"So it was you, Misty! I thought I was seeing things just now. Back so soon?" Daisy's tone had a hint of genuine concern.

"Didn't someone say she wouldn't return home until she became a great Pokémon Trainer?" Violet jumped right into the passive-aggressive mode.

"Pfft, please. She clearly couldn't stand being compared to our heavenly beauty and ran away using that excuse!" Lily fired the final blow.

"I told you we should've gone to Vermilion City instead…" Misty mumbled, turning to stone from the barrage of sisterly attacks.

Kazuki chuckled as he watched the four sisters bicker like petals in a whirlpool. He wasn't in any hurry to get his badge.

After all, he didn't currently have any Rock- or Fire-types, so there was no need to complete the type disadvantage mission here. One well-placed Thunderbolt from Pikachu would end the Cerulean Gym battle instantly.

[Ding!]

To Kazuki's surprise, watching the sisters' back-and-forth actually triggered a new mission.

Intrigued, he quickly opened his system to check the details.
