Chapter 18 - Status Pro Sport (2)

Arghana had no doubts about the sincerity of the representative from Status Pro Sport.

In the short time they interacted, he could feel the genuine care.

That care provided warm support for young players who came abroad, struggling to find opportunities for success.

However, behind that care, there was a significant interest at play.

If Arghana signed the contract with Go Ahead Eagles without the help of Status Pro Sport, the agency would no longer have any stake in his career moving forward.

Even if the club terminated his contract the next day, he would no longer be connected to the entity that brought him to Europe.

The offer from Status Pro Sport was incredibly tempting—a high salary, an apartment in a major Asian city, and financial security for his parents.

He could immediately repay his family's sacrifices by packing his bags and leaving the Netherlands.

His life would change drastically in an instant!

But if he truly wanted to return to Asia, why did he come to Europe in the first place?

If the goal was just to make money, why did he and his parents struggle so much to bring him here?

Had his dreams truly been shattered?

No! No!

His dream had just begun!

Nothing could stop him!

Even if he had to keep running in the dark, he wanted to see the light of dawn!

Arghana wiped his face, trying to calm himself.

When he looked back at the representative from Status Pro Sport, his eyes were filled with resolve.

"Thank you for your offer. I appreciate your concern, and I agree that it's an enticing option.

But before I make my decision, I would like to discuss it with my family first.

They've sacrificed so much for me, and I can't just take a big step without considering their feelings."

De Vries looked at him with understanding, then nodded slightly.

"That's a wise approach. Family is always an important part of big decisions.

I'll wait for your answer."

After escorting the representative from Status Pro Sport to his car, Arghana returned to his apartment.

He sat quietly, feeling a strange emptiness.

His chest was tight, as if a heavy burden was pressing down on him.

He slapped his chest, trying to ease the feeling.

He knew his journey was far from over.

But one thing was certain—he would continue fighting for his dream, with the blessing of the people who mattered most in his life.

That night, after sitting quietly in his small apartment room, Arghana finally took out his phone and called his father.

The phone rang several times before a familiar deep voice answered.

"Hello, son. What's going on, calling this late?"

Arghana took a deep breath before answering, "Dad, I want to discuss something.

Go Ahead Eagles offered me a contract."

For a moment, silence enveloped the conversation.

He could imagine his father glancing at his mother, who was probably sitting beside him. Then, the calm voice returned.

"Ah, finally, the news we've been waiting for," his father said with a relieved tone.

"We know this hasn't been an easy journey for you."

His mother's voice also came through, full of warmth.

"Yes, son. We are so proud of you.

Your efforts haven't been in vain."

Arghana smiled faintly, but his heart was still filled with doubt.

"I'm still unsure, Dad, Mom. I want to stay in Europe, but there are so many factors to consider.

I want to know your opinions."

A small laugh came from the other end of the phone.

"Son, ever since you were little, you've made decisions on your own.

We trust that you know what's best for you," his father said.

"But, Dad—"

"We support whatever you choose," his mother interjected, now speaking as well.

"If you think this is the best option, then go for it.

But if there's anything you don't understand, don't hesitate to ask Mas Alen.

He knows more about contracts and legal matters. You can discuss it with him before making a final decision."

Arghana fell silent. There was a warm yet heavy feeling in his chest.

His parents' trust was a blessing, but also a huge responsibility.

"Yes, Mom, Dad. I'll think everything over carefully," he finally said.

The conversation ended, but his mind was still racing.

The night grew later, and Arghana stared at the ceiling of his room, reflecting on the next steps he should take.
