The first of Shin's armies to step out of the Ascension Tower was the Chaos Phoenix Mage Core.
The skies above the territory darkened, and a vortex of violet and crimson flame spiraled into the heavens. A piercing cry echoed across the land—the voice of a creature that transcended both time and magic.
From the heart of the core, the spirit of the Chaos Phoenix emerged.
A majestic being of rebirth and destruction, its wings stretched across dimensions, its feathers woven from ever-shifting flame and stardust. Its eyes gleamed with ancient wisdom and unrelenting fury.
"You, who carry the flame of order and chaos," the phoenix spoke, its voice resonating across mind and soul. "You are worthy."
Military Spirit Awakened – Phoenix of the Endflame
Perks Unlocked:
• Eternal Scorch – All mage units under this core now cast spells infused with chaosfire, burning through magical and spiritual defenses. The longer the battle, the hotter their flames.
• Rebirth Cycle – Once per battle, fallen mages erupt into phoenix flame, healing nearby allies and reviving one-third of their number stronger than before.
• Skyfire Formation – A devastating large-scale spell formation that calls down an apocalyptic flame storm on enemy fortresses, elites, or monsters.
• Soul-Bonded Ascension – In moments of dire need, the Phoenix Spirit may descend and fuse with a commander to unleash world-shaking magic.
The Chaos Phoenix Mage Core was no longer a mere magical artifact—it had become a divine nexus of destruction and rebirth.
Their army, now reborn as the Ashen Flame Battalion, stood ready to become one of the most terrifying forces in Shin's empire.
"My little phoenix troops have grown strong. I wonder what Velzard's troops will awaken…"
The Ice Mage Core pulsed with ancient chill. The wind stilled. Even the breath of the world seemed to freeze.
A haunting melody rose—a distant song of winter incarnate.
From the core swirled a spectral blizzard, forming into a majestic being cloaked in frost and serenity.
The Frostveil Empress descended.
A towering spirit of glimmering permafrost and eternal snow. Her eyes pierced illusion and doubt, her wings shimmered like moonlight on ice. She bowed to Shin.
"You command the stillness between heartbeats—the calm before the end. I shall guide your mages to become winter incarnate."
Military Spirit Awakened – Frostveil Empress
Perks Unlocked:
• Absolute Zero – Ice mages now freeze enemy momentum, halving speed, stamina, and regeneration.
• Frozen Ward – Nearby troops gain enhanced resistances and instinctual frost barriers that deflect projectiles and spells.
• Winter's Crown – Once per battle, conjure a glacial spire that freezes the battlefield and summons a morale-draining snowstorm.
• Glacial Harmony – Ice mages cast in perfect unity. The larger the formation, the stronger the spell effects.
The Ice Mage Core had ascended. Its army, now the Frostborne Arcanum, became a serene force of inevitability—slow, unstoppable, and merciless.
Shin smiled. Boa, Lara, and Nina beamed with anticipation. Their armies would be next.
The Mountain Splitter Oni Army, led by Flame Lord Benimaru, marched next to the Scorched Plateau—sacred ground of Oni legend. The flame of Benimaru's aura danced, drawn toward something ancient.
The earth exploded.
A volcanic pillar burst skyward, lava and fire spiraling into the heavens. From the inferno stepped a titan clad in obsidian and flame.
Gyorrak the Worldbrand had awakened.
His voice rumbled like magma grinding stone.
"You who bear flame in your blood and fury in your fists… You are worthy. You shall be the hammer that cracks the sky."
Military Spirit Awakened – Volcanic Warlord Gyorrak
Perks Unlocked:
• Lavaforged Might – Oni attacks ignite with molten force, melting armor and spreading burns.
• Wrathquake – At critical HP, Oni unleash shockwaves that destabilize terrain and formations.
• Unbroken Flame – The lower their HP, the stronger they become. Pain only fuels their wrath.
• Firebrand Discipline – Benimaru has transformed their rage into forged fire—deadly and precise.
Their new name: The Ashen Vanguard—a legion of volcanic wrath and infernal pride.
Then came the Mountain Kings.
High atop jagged cliffs, the skies darkened without warning. Lightning tore the heavens. The twins, Seiran and Leiyun, roared as one—and a storm erupted around their army.
Ethereal tigers of wind and lightning stalked among the soldiers, testing their hearts.
Then, from the tempest, descended Byakko, Spirit of the White Tiger—massive, regal, crackling with divine storm.
"Blood of my blood. Fangs of my fury. You are no longer cubs. You are kings."
Military Spirit Awakened – Byakko's Dominion
Perks Unlocked:
• Stormborn Roar – A synchronized roar stuns enemies and forces beast-type foes to submit or flee.
• Tiger Stride Formation – Under Leiyun's guidance, the army's erratic movement improves evasion and foils flanking tactics.
• Feral Sovereignty – Seiran's beastlord aura boosts attacks, reflexes, and regeneration. Morale becomes unbreakable.
• Byakko's Pact – Spiritually bonded to wind and lightning. Arrows curve, armor crackles, and speed doubles during ambushes.
A sacred mark formed on the twins' backs—a crescent claw bearing Byakko's eye.
"Rule your mountain. Let no shadow touch your kin."
"Let the world hear your roar, Mountain Kings! Show them why tigers rule the peaks!"
The final to awaken that day were the Neiman Guard, led by Kael'Rath.
He knelt before the tower, axes buried in the soil, whispering an ancient chant in the tongue of the Lion Lords.
The sky split.
From the heart of the sun, a solar lion descended—burning gold and roaring with ancient pride. It landed before Kael'Rath, not in challenge, but in recognition.
"You who carry the pride of the pride. Rise, and roar with the fury of the first kings."
Military Spirit Awakened – Solar Dominion: The Roaring Sun Kings
Perks Unlocked:
• Pride of the Dawn – Each sunrise blesses the Guard with surging morale and strength for the first hour of combat.
• Solar Warden Stance – When defending, they radiate golden energy. Attacks are reflected; direct strikes may blind enemies.
• King's Roar – Kael'Rath's battlecry boosts ally speed, grants fear immunity, and weakens enemy leaders.
• Pride-Bound Brotherhood – Wounds can be shared across the Guard. As long as one stands, none truly fall.
A glowing lion mark burned onto Kael'Rath's chest—the seal of the First Flame.
"You are no longer just guards. You are the dawn that roars. Be the fire that never falters."
As Shin admired the greatness his armies had reached, the Moonshadow Elves returned with urgent news.
"My lord, we reached the map's coordinates—but were stopped by a dragon."
Shin raised a brow. "A dragon?"
"Yes. A red-and-blue-scaled dragoness. She said if you want her father's treasure, you must defeat her in dragon combat… and become her mate."
Shin grinned. "How'd she know I was a dragon?"
"She said she smelled it on us. And since we went through the Dragonborn Ritual, you must be strong. Her name is Lulu."
"Well then," Shin chuckled, "looks like I've got a date with destiny—and maybe a new dragoness wife."
"Shall we prepare?"
"No, go rest. After that, report to Commander Leone and your new comrades."
"Yes, my lord."
"Big brother, are you going to meet her now or what?" Heart teased. "Mr. Playboy."
"Lunch first," Shin laughed. "Then I'll check the market and open my gift packs. Don't worry—I'll tell big sister before I leave."
"You better," she smirked.
Shin returned to the manor, where a warm lunch was already laid out. His beloveds—Velzard, Elise, Robin, Kaelira, Shego, Boa,Ri Shin Tempest , Lara,Nina,Ka Ryo Tempest, and Kyou Kai—were waiting.
As he sat down, Velzard leaned close. "So, husband, how was your day?"
Shin chuckled. "Where do I even start?"
He began recounting the events—the military spirit awakenings, the changes in the armies, and the blessings they'd received. The table was filled with amazement and pride—until he got to the part about Lulu, the dragoness.
Velzard's eyes narrowed slightly, her tone dropping to something low and dangerous. "Who is this female dragon to make demands of my husband? The one who gave her the Heart?"
"Now now, dear," Shin said calmly. "She's probably just lonely. Her father's dead, and she's living alone in their old home. Besides, if anyone knows dragon customs, it's you, Velzard."
Velzard sighed, still watching him with that predatory glint. "You're right. Just… be safe. You know you'll have to mate with her after you win, yes? Until she's satisfied—before she'll let you leave or give you the treasure."
"Oh good," Shin smirked. "I might need to go find more dragonesses after this."
Velzard arched an eyebrow. "You could try summoning my niece. She's of age to mate. And the man she's in love with… well, he doesn't have his tool anymore."
Shin blinked. "Wait—you're talking about Rimuru?"
Velzard nodded with a teasing grin. "Lilith fixed him for me—since I kind of stole one of his generals. You know… Benimaru."
Velzard laughed. "Ah, look at my husband being so generous. I could recommend my sister too."
"I'll think about it," Shin said. "But I think there's only one more woman I truly want from your world."
Velzard tilted her head knowingly. "Oh? You mean… Shion, right?"
Shin nodded. "Yes, dear. That's the one."
Velzard gave a soft smile. "I permit it. She's strong—and she'll fit right in."
The table was filled with warmth and playful teasing as they continued their meal, the family already preparing for the next adventure ahead.
