Axel was on his carriage going back to the mansion, his face was slightly disfigured and bloody. Neil was sitting on his opposite side with a tense expression. Axel could hardly control his fury, but he was powerless. And this even brought back his bad memories of being bullied in school.
But at that time, he could do something if he wanted. But now he could not. The two guards tried to come forward and help when Ken first attacked him. But the two guards accompanying Ken were both on 2nd phase, and their pressure landed on his two guards, who were unable to make a single move.
But his fury soon calmed down, he had already gulped down a potion after entering the carriage. He had to admit he didn't like being humiliated like that in public. With a sigh, he started thinking about the details of the encounter. There was something wrong about it. That bastard constantly taunted him about what had happened in the past. But what exactly happened? There had to be a reason behind that type of behavior.
Could it be related to the accident? It was obvious to think that. Was he behind the accident of the previous Axel? He had learned that the Dusker Dukedom didn't like The Obsidian Trade for some reason. Which continuously made things harder for his family business.
It seems he needed to talk with the butler or maybe his father. No one except them could tell him some truth about it. Soon, he entered the mansion, and everyone gasped when they saw his bad state. Axel ordered one of the guards to make accommodations for Neil and that he would be his personal servant for running errands.
Then he went back to his room and took a shower to relax himself. The butler obviously learned of the situation, and news reached his father as well. He came back later at night. His father summoned him after coming back.
Axel knocked two times and entered the office of his father. The moment his eyes landed on his son, seeing the traces of injury, boundless anger threatened to burst out from him. But he controlled his anger, for a moment he did not know anything to say to his son. But Axel started the conversation, "Don't worry, I'm fine."
A sad expression appeared on the face of his father, he said, "I'm sorry, my son. I am helpless in this matter."
He also added, "Try not to go out from now on."
But Axel shook his head, "Don't worry, Once I'm strong enough everything will be solved, I cannot just keep myself locked just because of some silly problems."
His father's expression turned strange. "It's not that simple, my son." He could not help but ask his father, "Father, can I ask what is the reason behind this conflict with the Duskers?"
The moment he said these words, the atmosphere turned eerily tense, and a sense of disquietedness permeated the air. The butler standing quietly on the side sighed and said, "Young Master, you should go now. Please go and get some sleep; there is hard training waiting for you in the morning."
Seeing how serious the butler was, he could only leave the room. His father remained quiet, but a storm was raging in his mind that Axel had no idea about. The butler also left the room soon afterward. Tears fell down from Daniel's eyes as he had an extremely ugly expression on his face. No words or sounds escaped his mouth as he cried alone in boundless pain. The pain of being unable to protect his wife and his son.
Axel only felt that the matter was far more serious than what it looked, but he was unable to get information on what happened back then. He could only do what he is able to and follow his initial plan and let things play out as it was supposed to.
'Ken Dusker' was a cousin of the 4th royal prince, the main character and was somewhat important one could say. He had a good relationship with the main character despite his arrogant behavior. He later slowly becomes a character worth rooting for. However, Axel couldn't care less about the original storyline, he already had to mess it up to survive.
From the next day onward, his training resumed as usual; he continued to train harder every day and showed visible signs of significant growth. He felt ecstatic at moments, he started to enjoy sword fighting. The little by little progress he made every day, the constant feeling of growing stronger, was unreliably addicting.
As his training with William grew harsher and harsher, Axel slowly started to push himself beyond the boundary of the normal human without even realizing it. Even William sometimes showed appreciative glances at him. At least sometimes, but most of the time, he still trash-talked him to get him more excited.
His education with Lex was also progressing smoothly. Every month, he was automatically given large sums of money for personal expenses, which he did not spend and continued to accumulate. Axel is going to need a lot of money to buy a certain magic artifact, which is not going to be cheap at all.
For the moment, he only tasked Neil to blend in as much as possible and simply get all the information he could get without being obvious. As expected, Neil could not get any useful information from the other servants, etc.
Axel would send Neil outside from time to time, to get some useless stuff. Neil was first interrogated by the Butler but fortunately no one asked him anything in particular about it. 4 months had passed since his training with William started and 5 months in total since he woke up he finally decided that it was time, time to get his hands on the damn plant.
He instructed Neil to say a specific code carefully to the Old woman selling fruits, and to ask for a specific type of artifact with cloaking features. Something that would hide the presence of a normal human the inspection of any 3rd phase beings or lower a for a certain amount of time.
Axel told him details that it was a secret underground organization. Neil had proved his capabilities as an intelligent man, so Axel revealed to him necessary information to make a successful trade.
The old woman's expression changed when she heard that, she carefully instructed him to go through a certain passage which he did and there he had to provide another password, In a dark room, Neil stood in a seat. A dark veil was in front of him, which did not let him see anything forward.
A male voice introduced himself as "Envoy." Neil stated what he wanted and the requirements for the magic artifact. Neil was, unfortunately, unable to get any read on the man on the other side. They both discussed the price until both parties managed to agree on a suitable price. It was 700 pieces of gold.
It was customary to make a full deposit on purchasing anything from the underground organization. Neil deposited the full payment and said one last thing before leaving, "May the light born within the darkness shine the brightest, Arclight."
There was finally a change in the tone of the man on the other side, her tone instantly became respectful. That is a code only high level customers of the Dark organization knew. The reason for saying that? Every customer of the dark organization is heavily investigated by them, their information is sold to other parties if they pay enough. However, they have a rule of never selling information or keeping the information of high-level customers of theirs.
Axel naturally could not let them know about him; that was the reason for so much carefulness. Until he is strong enough, he has to be extremely secretive. The 'Envoy' said to get the artifact exactly after 5 days. Neil went to get it at the right time; he obviously tested the artifact outside, and he was utterly baffled by something like that.
Axel had to test it himself, but he did not dare to do so for fear of being discovered. He was already afraid that his father might have figured out something since 700 gold vanishing from Axel's bank account at once was quite suspicious to say the least.
Axel had a conversation with the butler, he requested to go to the Santak village to solve that problem. Axel also went out occasionally from time to time in these days but never encountered Ken again. That bastard was probably busy because of the Academy coming next.
The Butler obviously opposed his decision, saying he could be infected by the disease and that his father would not allow it. His father called him again and tried to convince him. But Axel made up his mind about going. If Axel was stubborn about something, his father, at the end of the day, was forced to give in to his demands; he was obviously taking advantage of that.
Daniel said to Vargas, "This boy is getting too obnoxious day by day, he isn't afraid of me in the slightest. And its too hard for me to get angry at him with him looking so much like his mother."
Vargas smiled slightly and said, "Don't worry, his training is going exceptionally well. To be honest, it's almost astonishing how much he has improved. It's already a wonder that he hasn't given up with the constantly increasing intensity of the training, which only becomes harder and harder every day."
A smile took place on Daniel's face as he said, "Yes, he should be good enough for the tournament by that time. But why didn't he show this much talent beforehand?"
Vargas thought for a moment and said, "Perhaps the young master is one of those late bloomers, and losing his memories also helped him ease the mental burden."
Daniel sighed and said, "Good, and I don't think you need to wait anymore, Vargas. Might as well start your training on him from now on. There's nothing more for him to learn from William anymore."
Vargas stated, "I also thought the same thing."
"Also, give Axel an immunity artifact and some basic protection artifact. I'd rather be careful even though the Duskers are too busy at the moment to try anything to him," said Daniel.
