Chapter 6 - Beneath The Crimson Blade

An octopus woman appeared, her appearance is a fusion of humanoid and cephalopod features.

The octopus woman's deadly fingers stretched into suffocating tentacles, wrapping around the masters and Bryce. She squeezed, her deadly coil crushing.

" Where is Raven?" She roared.

Jaxon, his face contorted in agony, managed to choke out.

" Raven is dead."

The octopus woman's deadly coil tightened, bones crackling like twigs. Her mouth opened, revealing rows of jagged-sharp teeth.

" Raven lives, and I can smell him here. Tell me where he is!"

The group remained silent, desperate to escape, but the octopus woman's grip only relentless. Bones cracked, and their bodies went still. The last sound they made was a sickening crunch before falling lifeless.

The octopus woman let out an earth-shaking roar, her anger increased. In an instant, she vanished.

Executioner moved like a phantom, his footsteps silent as he approached a cave. Hunger tormented his belly, and his eyes landed on a hunter nearby. A wicked smile played on his lips as he drew his sword. The hunter, unaware to the danger, became Executioner's next meal ticket.

With deadly precision, he assumed a deadly pose, sword at the ready.

He run towards the hunter, jumped high into the sky, and landed with a fatal slash.

The hunter's body split open, his organs spilling out like a burst sack.

Executioner laughed as he picked up the hunter's still-pounding heart. He pierced it with his sword, and blood split out like a waterfall.

He devoured the heart, ripped into the heart with his teeth, then unraveled the intestines and ate them like noodles. His mouth was a mess of blood.

Suddenly, a furious blast of wind howled through, and Executioner sensed the octopus woman's presence. He looked up to see her presence filled the space, her eyes blazing with anger. A vision of Raven's past assaulted his senses, revealing Raven's blood-soaked of her family. Her mother, his siblings...all dead. The octopus woman was the sole survivor.

The memories retreated, and Executioner wicked smile returned.

" Bad girl, you're still alive," " I killed your family because they deserved judgement."

He begun to taunt the octopus woman, his words poured gasoline on her fury.

The octopus woman's heart pounded faster, her breaths coming in anger gasps.

" Raven! You're a monster!"

Executioner chuckled, pointing at his sword.

" Who, me? No, I'm just the Executioner. He's the one who'll judge you."

With a maniacal laugh, he flew up to face the octopus woman.

" You'll soon join your family in the afterlife."

Executioner laughed, his eyes in excitement.

" You're beautiful now, but your heart is uglier than ever. You're still after Raven, or should I say, after me?"

The octopus woman let out an ear-shattering roar, her mouth spewing forth a stream of sticky, venomous goo. Executioner dodged just in time, he launched his sword with deadly aim. But the octopus woman was too quick, blocking the blade with a swipe of her tentacle.

Executioner's sword flew back to him, and he flew off in a wild arc around the octopus woman like a shadow.

The octopus woman tracked his movements, her eyes narrowing as she coiled her tentacles around him.

" This is the end of you, Raven...or should I say, Mr Executioner?"

She hissed, squeezing tighter.

Executioner just laughed, his eyes shinning in madness. Suddenly, a crimson aura detonated around him, and his eyes turned a deep, fiery red.

" You're wrong," he snarled. " You're the one who's going to die. Not me.

Hahaha!"

With a loud roar, Executioner let out a blast of evil energy that ripped through the air like a sharp whip. The octopus woman shrieked in pain as one-third of her tentacles were incinerated, the stench of charred flesh filling the air.

She retaliated with a swipe of her remaining tentacles, striking executioner with enough force. He tasted his own blood, and his eyes turned a deeper shade of red. His sword seemed to pulse with a life of it's own, flowing like liquid blood as he plunged it into the octopus woman's throat.

The blade sliced down, tearing through her stomach and spilling her entrails onto the ground. Executioner twisted the sword, pulling out a coil of intestines as he laughed wickedly. He cut through her tentacles one by one, each strike accompanied by a sickening crunch.

Finally, he raised his sword and brought it down in a mighty arc, cleaving the octopus woman's head from her body. The head spun, bursting open like a rip fruit, and her organs spilled out in a mess.

Executioner's blade flashed again, cutting out her eyes, nose, mouth and ears.

He tossed the head aside and his laughed rang out the cave.

" Join your family in peace,"

he sneered, before taking to the skies.

A village of Ashwood slumbered peacefully beside the gentil river, it's strong guards watching over the quiet surroundings. The villagers, with their pointed ears and nimble movements, lived with a carefree air, their laughter and music drifting through the trees.

Executioner walked along the winding path, his footsteps quiet on the forest floor. He appeared at the village gate, but an unseen barrier prevented him from entering. With a smile, he leaned against a nearby tree.

Suddenly, a young elf bolted out of the village, his eyes wide with fear. Executioner's wicked smile grew, and he sprang to a nearby branch, watching the elf's every step. He pounced, landing softly on the ground, and called out,

" Hello there, little one. come here."

The elf approached hesitantly. Executioner's eyes burned with amusement as he asked,

" Want to die?"

The kid nodded desperately, his eyes fixed on Executioner's sword.

Executioner chuckled, drawing the blade and holding it up to the sunlight.

" With this sword, you'll be gone in an instant."

The elf's eyes grew even wider. Executioner' smile wickedly and raised the sword up.

" You want to die? Very well. But first, tell me...what's hiding in the heart of Ashwood village?

The elf's breath catches in his throat as he watched Executioner sword in the sky, he noticed something that made his blood run cold a faint sheen of scarlet on the blade, a droplet of blood hanging precariously on the metal like a macabre ornament.
