A/N: From the next chapter onwards I will use the name of the mc that is in the realm. Eg: If in earth, Shivansh will be used and when in the other the other name will be used. Cheers!
"When do you think you are getting up huh? Should I whip you a few more times to ensure that you wake at the right time huh?" She shouted in a shrill voice...
Shivansh was confused this time. Who was this woman. He had no memory of anything. He knew one thing, he had successfully travelled to the different realm.
"G- Get up! Go and wash the floors or even your father won't be able to save you from my w- wrath." She shouted and threw a broom and a cloth at him. She them stomped out.
Shivansh looked around. He was in a stone room with a small window. Light rays emerged from the window. The room was very shabby. It only had a small carpet and different types of different household items. It was probably a storeroom.
Shivansh stood up and walked towards the window. He placed his hands over his eyes as the sudden brightness hurt his eyes. His vision cleared and he took a deep breath.
The outside scenery was beautiful. Dawn had just broken through. The sky was a beautiful shade of orange and a few birds were flying. A few mountains could be seen on the horizon. This was probably a small village. There were wooden houses lined up. Most of them having one floor.
Some vendors were opening their shops and smoke rose from the chimneys. A huge forest could be seen on the outskirts with a mesmerizing river flowing through.
Suddenly glimpses of memories flashed in his eyes. His name was Sten Woodsman. He was three years old. He was an orphan adopted by Rene Woodsman, who was a hunter and a craftsman by profession.
He also had a small sister. Not that young, only two months young. He lived in a small village named, Wispmore. They were in the kingdom of his Majesty, The Great Ablert Reshinar. A kingdom named Morien.
The woman who just beat him was Rene's sister and thus his aunt. Her name was Caspera Baker. She had taken her husband's last name after marriage. She had left her husband because he was poor and could not afford her wasteful expenditures and came to her brother's house.
She was a miser. She never did any work because she was supposed to do something great and always made him do all the work.
She always nagged him and beat him because she was jealous that her rich brother was feeding a adopted child. She wanted to prey on the wealth of her brother and he was a sore sight for her.
She was unable to do anything while her brother was there so she vented when he was outside for his work. In short she was a sore loser who vented her anger on a child.
He also had a mother but she had died before he was adopted. As the story goes, she had dies while she gave birth to his sister Sarah Woodsman. Rene was devastated by her departure and his hunting and craftsmanship fell.
His only pillar was his small daughter. One day while hunting he found a small child wrapped in a cloth bundle. He was a beautiful boy. He had white hair and milky light brown skin. One of his pupils was golden while the other was pure black. He also had a weird birthmark.
Rene looked at the child and upon finding no one near he could not muster up the courage to leave the child in a jungle full of predators. He decided to adopt the child and name him Sten Woodsman, giving him a name and his family surname.
Sten did not have it easy he was only two and a half years old when she arrived here and started to work him like a slave. She also threatened to beat his sister if he did not do the work.
Him being a gullible child suffered all the torture. He never spoke up. Shivansh signed. He did not want to create any problems for his father because he was very kind to him.
He tried to think more but his memories felt jumbled. He felt as it it was missing something.
He tried to talk to Shanti only to realize that will not be able to talk with her here. Only upside that he still had his suit and extra brain perfectly camouflaged.
He signed once again and picked up the broom and cloth. He folded his clothes and went outside. He then proceeded to go towards the river to take a bath, nodding and greeting all the people along the way but only received weird gazes.
He was confused but he did not pay much heed. He reached the river at the outskirts. The light rays with the flowing river created a beautiful scene. He took a deep breath and took off his clothes and jumped in the river.
The cold water opened all his pores. He started to swim in it and closed his eyes. The sounds of birds, water, wind and people created a beautiful harmony. Huh? People?
He opened his eyes and saw that a crowd had formed near the river. He was confused but got out of the river. He quickly dressed himself up. Suddenly a small figure rushed towards him and jumped. He quickly held it. It was his small sister Sarah.
She had deep blue eyes and brown hair. She had rosy pink lips and milky white skin. She wore a beautiful pink skirt. She started to cry in his arms. Sten was confused by her behavior. He patted her head and asked in a gentle tone.
"What happened? Why are you crying? Did anyone hurt you?"
She sniffled her nose and wiped her tears and asked in a worried tone.
"S- Sten are you alright? You were unconscious for two days straight. Father had gone to find herbs and a healer for you." She asked
Suddenly it all clicked in place. Two days before Caspera had hit him in the head with a broom for not 'Cleaning Properly', a weak excuse to vent her frustration. He had received a fatal hit and had reached a comatic state.
Caspera threw him into his room believing that he was acting. She then proceeded to beat and whip him the other day for not waking up and being unresponsive.
Upon realizing that this was no joke, she was so scared that she was scared out of her wits. His death would mean that she would be banished from the family. She planned to throw him in the jungle, but as if fate was plotting against her, Rene wanted to start to teach Sten some basic traps for hunting.
His face lost all blood when he saw his child fainted and not responding. The situation did not get any better when he saw several injuries on him new and old. He wanted to kill Caspera there but he sensed a faint pulse.
He threatened her and rushed to find herbs and a healer for his son. Caspera was anxious and did not do anything that day but, today her patience had run out. Sensing her impending doom, she decided to beat Sten so much that he would die and then she would escape.
The irony he woke up after the first whip and she scared made up a excuse and escaped. The rest of the memories suddenly rushed back. In this world the gods had given humans a boon or a curse.
They had given them the power to exploit the elements and use their powers. They had given them to use the power to use something called mana. They could use mana to use spells in the forms of spells and various more methods.
Now it made all sense. The crowd. His father wanting to find a healer to revive him from the brink of death, and him finding the perfect body. The soul of the original Seth perished and Shivansh's soul fit.
He smiled at his sister and patted her head and assured her. Things would change but would it be for the better or worse only time would tell...
