Abby and Maybelline ran through the yard, ignoring the few guests still around. Those people ran with them too and when they reached the front yard of the Adkins main mansion, they paused.
Abby's hands were pressed to her knees as she tried to catch her breath. Maybelline fell on the floor, hands and legs apart from each other. Their body reeked with the smell of urine.
"What happened Mrs Adkins?" One man amongst the people that ran with them asked as they glanced behind.
They had all thought a monster was chasing them due to how both women ran, or the Adkins estate had been invaded by gunmen.
"I... It's nothing." Abby said calmly, still trying to maintain a calm demeanor even if she was dying to breathe.
"W... Why are you stinking Mrs Adkin?" One woman covered her nose and the others followed, their faces twisted in disgust. They all started moving backwards one after another.
Abby smelled herself and almost puked. This is so embarrassing.
