Chapter 20 - Chapter 20: The Magical Cure and Egypt Finally Moves

Amidst the overwhelming chaos sweeping the world and the outbreak of strange diseases that even the immortal trainees weren't immune to, the sorcerers, shamans, and immortal trainees gathered once again. But this time, their meeting wasn't to discuss their conflicts or personal interests—it was to solve a crisis that threatened everyone. The mysterious diseases didn't just infect humans; they began to consume their world itself.

The head of the Tower of Sorcery stood, his exhausted features reflecting his old age and the toll recent events had taken on him. He wasn't the only one—everyone looked weary and burdened.

With a desperate voice, he said: "What now? Nothing is going as we expected, nor as the records and history in our hands foretold. Egypt remains silent. We have no information on what's happening inside, and we don't even dare to approach it because of that strange oppressive force surrounding it."

The leader of the Golden Immortals Sect spoke next. He looked weak, struggling to maintain his strength and prevent the absorption of that strange energy while also protecting himself from the spreading diseases.

"That's not important right now. No matter how much we plan or discuss, the opposite always happens. So, let's save our energy for what's coming and focus on the most urgent matter."

He sighed before continuing: "Humans want a magical cure for these mysterious diseases… What do you think?"

The shaman leader spoke with a skeptical tone: "Really? You're going to give them a magical cure? Even we haven't found a cure for these diseases, so how could you possibly have one?"

The Golden Immortals leader smirked slyly and replied: "We will give them vitality-enhancing pills of the lowest grade. They are common here. And since humans are weaker than immortal trainees, these pills will be enough to strengthen them slightly… Then, we'll see what happens."

The leader of the Demonic Sect laughed mockingly: "I never expected the righteous leader of the Golden Immortals Sect to turn humans into lab rats. Not only that, but you also seek to gain influence within these nations. How amusing!"

The Golden Immortals leader ignored him, knowing his words were just empty mockery. Then he spoke seriously: "Does anyone object?"

He looked around, finding only silence. Taking it as approval, he then said with a sly smile and a sinister expression: "Then, let's begin mass-producing the cure and selling it to humans. We will appear as heroes saving the world!"

The Announcement of the Magical Cure

A message was sent to world leaders, stating that the magical cure would save humanity and that they were prepared to sell it and negotiate agreements.

The leader of China spoke firmly: "We will purchase all the medicine at any price you set. As for agreements, once the cure proves effective and people start recovering, we will grant you political, economic, and governmental influence. Don't worry, you know we're not doing this because we don't trust you—it's just a precaution. I hope you understand."

The immortal trainees didn't care about these conditions; they were well aware of the cure's effects. Though it wasn't very effective for them, it would have a massive impact on humans.

As for the world leaders, they weren't fools. They had previously witnessed how the world seemed to turn against these organizations, and nothing had gone as planned, always ending in unexpected disasters. So, they decided to wait and see what would happen.

And so, the first shipment of the magical cure reached various nations, launching massive advertising campaigns that reignited hope among humans for a possible cure.

One of the immortal trainees appeared on a televised interview, speaking about the magical cure, but he made his disdain for humans obvious, repeatedly stating that they didn't deserve any medicine from the immortal trainees, not even of the lowest grade.

This statement sparked widespread resentment among humans, deepening their hatred for sorcerers, shamans, and immortal trainees—especially given their history of mistreating humans who tried to join them.

However, people endured this provocation because, for them, the priority was curing their loved ones and saving them from the diseases.

Egypt's Unexpected Move

Just as humans were about to use the magical cure, something unexpected happened… Egypt finally moved!

It wasn't a massive move, but it was enough to draw the world's attention. Egypt was already under the watchful eyes of everyone—the sorcerers, shamans, immortal trainees, great nations, and even ordinary people. So the moment it made a move, news spread everywhere.

Egypt released a brief statement across its social media platforms:

1- Do not use the magical cure; it will not solve the problem but will make things worse.

2- We call for a global summit, bringing together all nations without exception, the four supernatural forces, the immortal trainees, sorcerers, shamans, and superhumans—under Egypt's leadership.

This statement triggered violent reactions, shaking the world instantly. Some humans heeded Egypt's warning and refrained from using the cure, while world leaders, sorcerers, immortal trainees, and shamans saw this as an announcement of submission to Egypt.

And although this was the reality—no one truly understood what was happening in the world, and everything was spiraling out of control—they simply couldn't accept it.

The idea of submitting to mere ordinary humans unsettled both the immortal trainees and the supernatural factions. Their tension only grew due to the uncertainty surrounding Egypt's true power.

The immortal trainees, in particular, were the most enraged since this decision halted the sale of the magical cure, causing them massive losses. In response, they launched smear campaigns and mockery, saying:

"Has the turtle finally crawled out of its shell? Is Egypt now trying to portray itself as humanity's protector after all this silence?"

As expected, politics were dirty… but even dirtier was humanity's readiness to believe lies if they offered hope. Some people believed these claims and insisted on using the cure, despite Egypt's warning.

The great nations were also unwilling to be led by a country that previously lacked significant influence, even with the electricity extraction project that was about to make it a superpower. They were certain that Egypt would make demands at the summit, so they decided to wait and see what would happen.

And when the cure was finally used, it initially seemed successful… but as Egypt had warned, things only got worse.

A Mysterious Location… The Prisons Open, and Terror Begins

In one of the secret prisons where superhumans were being held, chaos erupted. Due to the spreading disease, security forces weakened, allowing the prisoners to take control of the prison and escape. But they didn't get far… as they found themselves surrounded.

Mysterious individuals encircled them from all sides, their presence exuding an intimidating pressure far greater than what the superhumans had ever felt—even when facing immortal trainees, shamans, or sorcerers.

Though the superhumans had escaped prison, they were still weak. The only reason they managed to break free was the strange illness that had affected the guards.

They stood on edge, ready to fight.

But then, a firm and commanding voice rang out: "Wait."

It seemed to belong to someone with authority or a high rank among the superhumans.

A man emerged from the prison doors, walking forward confidently—though he was slightly faking his composure to hide his unease under the immense pressure.

He was the same man who had been interrogated before… but he looked completely different now.

His once-disfigured face had healed, showing hints of handsomeness. His frail body, which had previously suffered from malnutrition, was now strong and healthy. His once-damaged arms and veins were now fully restored. He was a different man altogether.

Slowly, he approached the one who seemed to be the leader of the mysterious group, while his superhuman comrades remained tense and wary.

In a steady voice, he asked: "Are you Egyptians?"

No response came… except for a mysterious smile.

And in the following moments, all prisons holding superhumans—whether under the control of immortal trainees, sorcerers, or shamans—were liberated.

Every single superhuman and their children were now in a safe place.
