Rumors started again. Someone had posted online that Andra was living with a married man. It wasn't true—she hadn't even had time to talk to a man in months.
It didn't take her long to find the source: Mercy. Her old roommate. Again.
She confronted her in the school canteen.
"Why are you so obsessed with ruining me?"
Mercy smirked. "Girl, don't act like a saint. You took the guy I liked first year. The one who hosted you? That was dirty."
"I was homeless, Mercy. He offered a floor to sleep on."
"Whatever. Karma works."
"No, you work overtime trying to be my karma."
