The professor Qwiz, at his café near his private garden, sips a cup of coffee as usual with the machine's genie while listening to what is happening in the court, then adds:
"It seems that Scorpy is about to be exposed."
Arenas is worried as she follows the court proceedings through her book:
"It has become serious."
Dayas is furious in the cosmic court at Shiny after his words, and the latter continues:
"Your Honor, I also demand Scorpy."
But soon, Dayas composes himself, thinks for a while, then coldly smiles at the judge, saying:
"Cosmic Judge, may we move on to the other theft charge?"
The judge to Dayas:
"Can your words be considered an admission of Shiny's right to Alndor and Scorpy?"
Dayas:
"No, I will choose to appeal this later."
The cosmic judge:
"Alright, agreed."
The judge agrees to Daias's request, and Dayas begins his argument, saying:
"Your Honor, when I was six years old, this victim broke into my family's home without warning and stole my feelings, which indirectly led to the creation of Alnidor..."
Then he pauses for a moment, continuing:
"...and transformed the family pet, which was a scorpion at that time, into a human being."
The Cosmic Judge:
"Oh, that's a strong accusation. How does the victim defend himself?"
Shiny, unconcerned:
"He's lying. I was visiting my friend Frederin, the homeowner, at that time. As for what happened, it wasn't by my will."
Dayas:
"Liar."
Shiny:
"And do you have evidence?"
Dayas:
"And do you have evidence?"
The Cosmic Judge to Daiyas:
"No, you are the one making this claim, so the burden of proof is on you."
Then he adds:
"Do you have any evidence or witnesses?"
A thought occurs to Daiyas, and he mutters to himself:
"Hold on, witnesses. I know someone who might testify for me."
But Scorpy hears him and asks in a whisper:
"Really! Who?"
Dayas:
"A person with whom I have a contract that obliges him to carry out my orders, whatever they may be."
Scorpy:
"Or you mean a false witness. Do you know what they might do to us if they uncover our secret?"
Dayas:
"Don't worry, we will just play the same game as that filthy star."
Dayas says this and then turns to the judge, adding:
"My sir, I have a witness."
The Cosmic Judge:
"Great, who is it so we can summon him?"
Dayas:
"Oh, it's fine, leave the summoning to me... I just want some straw."
Everyone in the hall begins to mock Dayas for his request, so the cosmic judge strikes his gavel and says:
"Calm down... you get what you want."
Then he gestures with his gavel in front of Dayas to reveal the straw he requested, at which point Dayas adds:
"And I want a private call."
The cosmic judge:
"Why the secrecy? Is it for the safety of the caller?"
Dayas:
"Yes."
The cosmic judge signals to his assistants to give Daiyas a phone, and Dayas steps away a bit from the others and turns his face, whispering into the phone:
"Hello Simi, can you hear me? I need a favor from you..."
Dayas continues his call for a while and returns to his place, holding some straw in his hand and saying:
"Damn, I can't believe I'm doing this... that damned bastard."
Dayas puts the straw in his mouth, then chews and swallows it, and in front of him appears his donkey, cinnamon, made up of the remaining straw. They both stare at each other, and cinnamon starts laughing, saying:
"Wow, I can't believe you really did it, you summoned me."
Dayas:
"Haha, very funny, what a silly way to summon someone."
cinnamon, while wiping tears of joy at seeing Dayas in a silly situation, says:
"I'm sorry, I couldn't think of anything else at the time."
Dayas, annoyed:
"You're lying, you did this just to make me look silly."
cinnamon:
"Or don't care about it, you're silly without needing this... So, why did you summon me?"
Dayas puts his arm around his donkey's neck, saying:
"We are now in the cosmic court because of a complaint I filed against Shiny, and I summoned you here to testify with me."
cinnamon, horrified:
"What?! You summoned me to die with you!"
Dayas:
"Only when the judge asks you anything, just say yes, okay?"
cinnamon:
"You're really crazy."
Cosmic Judge:
"Mr. Dais, have you finished talking with your witness? We are waiting for him."
Dayas:
"Yes, it's yours."
cinnamon advances slowly while his four legs tremble in fear, saying:
"Am I ready, Your Honor? What is the question..."
The Cosmic Judge:
"Do you swear to tell the truth?"
cinnamon turns to Dayas while swallowing his fear, responding:
"I swear, Your Honor."
The Cosmic Judge:
"Do you testify that the accused, Shine, broke into the Dayas family's home years ago and stole their feelings?"
cinnamon:
"Yes."
At that moment, Shiny reacts, saying:
"Wait, that's slander; he didn't even know him back then."
Dayas, with his hands behind his head, smiling a victorious smile:
"Do you have proof?"
Shiny, annoyed:
"Oh, that's not fair."
But he quickly remembers something and says:
"Wait, I have a witness for this."
Dayas to himself, as his smile widens:
"Heh, just as I expected."
Shiny:
"I want to summon my witness... 'The Cosmic Octopus, Devourer of Planets.'"
Scorpy, hitting his forehead:
"We're done for."
The Cosmic Judge, as usual, summons the octopus with his gavel, welcoming him:
"Welcome, sir. I'm sorry to make you smaller to fit the space... You have been summoned at Shine's request to testify against his counterpart, Dayas."
At that moment, the city of beautiful horizons darkens at the end of the evening while everyone is eagerly following the events of the cosmic court through radios spread throughout the city. Simi interrupts them, saying:
"Well, folks, after some difficult persuasion on my part, the events of the cosmic court will be broadcast live on television, while of course keeping the radio... or, I advise you to choose the radio, it's better."
The televisions come back to life immediately after Simi finishes speaking, but on a single channel created by Simi. At that moment, someone carrying a heavy suitcase passes by the city square fountain and notices a large crowd gathered in front of a television at one of the electronic device stores, so he approaches them curiously, adding:
"Good evening, why this crowd in front of the television! Is there a big match for your team or something like that?"
One of them replies annoyed:
"Shh, I want to listen."
The curious passerby:
"Alright, I'm sorry."
But the curious passerby spots Dayas on the television and exclaims in surprise:
"This!... Isn't this my nephew Dayas!"
We return again to the cosmic court where the cosmic octopus has finished taking his oath before the court panel, and the cosmic judge asks him:
"Mr. Octopus, do you testify that Dayas has known this donkey for a short time?"
Cinnamon, bravely and annoyed:
"Hey, I'm a mule, isn't that obvious?"
Shiny laughs confidently at the octopus's answer, but the octopus surprises everyone by saying:
"No, Your Honor, Dias has known this donkey since his childhood."
Shiny, Scorpy, and Cinnamon are shocked upon hearing the octopus's answer, and Scorpy grabs Dias by the elbow, whispering to him:
"But why would this octopus testify falsely?"
Dayas replies while still smiling:
"Who knows?"
Then he addresses the cosmic judge, saying:
"Your Honor, before I continue my plea, I want you to be aware that this octopus before you has devoured many planets and cities and killed a huge number of innocent people without remorse, so based on this, I request that you execute him immediately."
The cosmic octopus, frightened, says:
"What are you talking about! I don't know what you're referring to."
Everyone in the court is astonished by Dayas's request and his betrayal of the octopus despite his testimony alongside it, leading to a tremendous chaos in the room between supporters of Dayas's words and those rejecting his actions, which greatly disturbs The Univers Judge. After his annoyance, The Univers Judge strikes the judges' table in front of him with his gavel, producing a wave of intense energy that causes everyone in the hall to tremble in fear, restoring order and calm to the place. But before anything else can happen, the puppeteer leaps from his spot among the attendees, performing a high flip towards the cosmic octopus, stabbing it in the belly with his dagger, killing the octopus. He then turns to The Univers Judge and says in his mysterious voice, pointing at Dayas:
"Your Honor, since what distinguishes our cosmic court from other ordinary courts is that it allows freedom of interventions in the defense... I would like you to permit me to defend this young human."
