Her eyes, usually shimmering like the stars in the night sky, started to fade as she fell into my arms. She was stabbed. To be more exact, it seems like she was slashed by a blade or something. The cut went across her body. Starting from her right shoulder to her left hip, the cut ran deep and was flowing out blood. It didn't seem like the blood would stop gushing out, no matter how hard I tried. I put my hand on her chest and started to preform CPR.
"Hang in there!" I yelled as I started putting pressure on her chest. Her breathing was getting slower. The light in her eyes seemed to fade more as the seconds went by. Sweat poured down my face. Tears started to flow in my eyes. "Wake up! Don't go into the light!" I yelled as the tears starting flowing onto her blood drenched shirt. Her yellow shirt was stained with blood and was getting darker and darker by the second. I couldn't let her die. I won't let her die.
More tears fell as I started to become tired. But I couldn't stop. I put my lips on hers and started blowing air into her lungs. Her breathing started to slow. "Audrey, please," I said as the tears started to fall more rapidly. "please don't die. I can't lose you." I continued as my words started to slur. "I can't live without you." I said as I bent down to hold her. "I love you, I can't lose you." I said as I started bawling. Her breathing stopped. Audrey Rodriguez had died in my arms and I couldn't even save her. I started bawling as I held onto her harder.
Just then I heard footsteps getting closer towards me. "It's a shame. She was really pretty." The person said as they got closer. I turned around to see a tall man smoking a cigarette. He had an eye covered with a bandana and was dressed in all black, casual attire. He had white, messy hair and had a dark eye bag below his right eye. He put his right hand in his pocket and pulled out a gun. The gun was small, small enough to fit in your pocket. This gun, which resembled a revolver, was then pointed to my head. The man put his finger on the trigger and started to smirk.
"Audrey was a nice girl, too bad the client wanted her dead."
"What the hell do you mean a client?"
"Are you stupid? I'm a hitman. A paid gun? I kill people for money."
"What the hell?"
The man pointed the gun straight to the air and started to laugh. "Are you stupid?" He calmed down and took another puff of his cigarette. Who the hell would want Audrey dead? She was a sweet girl. She would never do anything to upset someone. Let alone enough to kill her. "This is bullshit," I said as I put Audrey down slowly on the ground and wiped my tears. "Who the hell would want her dead?" I said as I grit my teeth. The man walked towards me. "Hell if I know. It's someone who paid good money though." He said as he stopped in front of me and pointed the gun straight to my head. If he shot right now, I would be dead on the spot. Gun to my head, I didn't think of my family, my friends, or anything else really. I thought of Audrey. She didn't deserve to die. Her death was unjust. The man put his finger on the trigger and starred at me with a smirk. "Any last words?" He asked as he readied himself. "Fuck. You." I said as I braced for impact. BANG! The shot went straight through my head and out the other side. As I dropped to the floor, I thought of Audrey. She was the only girl I loved. I couldn't do anything to save her. I fell to the ground next to Audrey. My vision started to blur. I grabbed Audrey's hand and held it tight. "I swear," I said as I started to lose feeling in my hand. "I will save you." Just then my vision went all black. The sound of bells rang in my head. I had died.
