His one remaining team member told him to keep it together because he tracked the call, and they finally could find Rope. Rope was at a science lap underground. Rope was still trying to use the device to make a time machine. Rope had all the resources for his experiment. He assigned Fob to steal all the things that Rope needed for the time machine.
Rope failed a lot of times to create the time machine but he still wanted to restore Emmie to correct his mistake. Rope was starting to test his experiment but then Jack and his only remaining team member were there. "Freeze," Jack shouted. Rope is surprised to know that Jack is the one who is trying to stop him. He told Jack that destiny combined them again but he would not lose this time. Emmie was Rope's friend and he didn't want to lose her so he wanted to correct his mistake. Rope shoots Jack's team member in the head and growls, "The next bullet is aimed at you Jack so behave and enjoy the show". Jack was hesitant to shoot Rope.
Jack resisted the temptation of bringing back Emmie. Jack aimed the gun at Rope and shot him near his heart. Rope was still alive. The machine was covered with Rope's blood and it was too late to stop the machine because Rope had already activated it. something went wrong and it exploded and Jack and Rope strangely disappeared.
