It has been two days since the whole incident and Nadia had decided to find Sara, she found her at their usual spot—a high-end private lounge overlooking the city.
A place that had once been their sanctuary.
Now, it felt like a battlefield.
Sara sat by the window, completely unbothered. Her reflection stared back at her from the glass, the city lights shimmering behind her.
She didn't even flinch when Nadia stormed in.
"why" Nadia asked, voice sharp as a blade.
Sara finally turned, a slow smirk curling her lips.
"Well," she said, "I did expect you to catch on sooner."
That smirk nearly broke something in Nadia.
"You betrayed me," Nadia bit out.
Sara let out a small, amused laugh. "Did I? Or did I just take an opportunity?"
Nadia's nails dug into her palms. "I trusted you."
For a moment, just a moment, something flickered in Sara's gaze.
Then it was gone.
"And that was your first mistake," Sara said, leaning back.
She tilted her head. "You always had everything, Nadia. The wealth. The power. A father who actually gives a damn about you. Do you have any idea what it's like to stand next to you and realize I will never be your equal?"
Nadia's breath hitched.
"You're angry now," Sara continued. "But deep down, you know I'm right."
Nadia stared at her.
Then, she laughed.
A quiet, disbelieving laugh.
"You keep telling yourself that," she said. "But the truth, Sara? You were never my equal. Not because of money. Not because of power. But because you never had the heart to be, you are weak and a liar. "
Sara's smirk faded.
"This isn't over," she hissed.
Nadia met her gaze, cold and unyielding.
"You're right. It's not."
A new voice cut through the tension.
"If you're smart, you'll leave bitch."
Sara stiffened.
Lina stood at the doorway, arms crossed, her tone deadly calm.
She stepped forward.
"Because the next time you walk into this room," Lina said, voice dropping, "it won't be Nadia waiting for you."
Sara's jaw clenched.
this time though, she didn't smirk.
She simply picked up her bag, and walked out.
Nadia let out a slow breath.
Lina smirked. "You okay?"
Nadia exhaled.
"No."
Lina's smirk widened.
"Good."
Because they had a war to win.
And they'd need to be on their best.

They both left the lounge deciding to head to Nadia's penthouse, the drive to the penthouse was silent as they both silently mused over what had just happened, and what will probably happen.
Sara was out for blood and Nadia wasn't going to allow it she'd fight tooth and nail for what is rightfully hers, sara be damned.
