Chapter 5 - CHAPTER 5 -THE UNEXPECTED VISIT

Mr. Jingh'an lounges in the doorway legs crossed at the knee, beside him stands a guy mirroring his look, their difference is that this guy has dark hair with pink tips, fragile earrings hand from his ear lobes . Arrogance streams from him in waves, I meet his eyes and refuse to lower my eyes from his gaze. I move my gaze onto the guy that's been haunting my thoughts. Could it be him? Am I mistaken? His is an avenue that I shouldn't venture in. I need to come to terms that Yu is gone forever, since that fateful night we stole from an elite's property, and he had sacrificed himself to save me.

Like he always does.

Mr. Xi steps into the room with the heirs of the Jingh'an group, we held our breathe afraid to let it go. The risk of doing the wrong thing is great in their presence with a wave of their hands we could lose our jobs, or worse disappear if they want us to.

The second master stops at Jinx's table. She stiffens, but didn't move.

"Hmm, pretty." He drawls giving her a onceover.

 "What's your name pretty flower?"

 "Ji"

"I like it, I see why you want to come here again brother, the worker are pretty." His gaze swerves on me,"Look at this one, beautiful skin, sparkling eyes, wonderful hair and a beautiful body. She's a goddess." He circles me, and releases a wolf whistles.

It bounces all around, and I grit my teeth, levelling a glare at him. He didn't look deterred, instead he grins and grabs hold of my hand. "Are you free this evening?"

Mr. Xi clears his throat, and nods his head. He wants me to say yes, to please this heir-born. Not going to happen.

I frown and pull my hand from his grasp."No I am not sir."

"Is that a no?" he frowns and turns his gaze on Mister Xi, then turns them back to me.

Mister Xi runs slashes a finger on his throat, then points at me. I wince, and held my ground I am not going to say yes to an heir-born just because he fancies me. I locked my jaw and kept my silence. Suddenly he guffaws, and waves a hand in the air.

" I thought I will never see the day that I will be refused, it's okay Mr. Xi, it's refreshing for a change," he turns his gaze on his brother.

"What do you think brother? Should I take offense and have her sacked this very minute?" he asks his gaze turning sly all of a sudden.

"Perhaps I could try to get her to go out with me, since I am the prettier of us." His brother struts forward to stand next to me, he grabs hold of my hand before I could react, and bestows a kiss on the back of it.

"Would you like to have dinner with me pretty lady, instead of my brother?"

"Um-I don't know." This is so not fair, being exposed like this. I thought I wouldn't have to deal with him, the chances of seeing the Jingh'ans are very slim, and now seeing them trying to make the treasury house as their playground is unbelievable.

He gives me a wounded look.

"Uh- I mean…."

I stared at him wordlessly not knowing what to say, to them this is a game, not to me. I am being ridiculed in front of my work colleagues, anger rises up in me, and I couldn't stop the words that spilled out from my lips.

"No, thank you. I don't want to go out with either of you. Why don't you go back to castle and let us paupers work for you in peace." I point at the first brother, "You, I wouldn't touch you with a ten-foot bargepole, and wouldn't say yes in a million years, no matter what you have. I'd rather sit on a porcupine. Sack me if you want , I don't care. Excuse me, I think I need to go to the ladies."

I brush past them, letting them digress what I said in silence, and rushing to the toilet. I run into a stall and lock it after me, I flit the seat cover down and sat on it, tears falling down my face. The Yu I remembered wouldn't be like this, flaunting his wealth like this to the less priviledged. What about last night? Did I make a mistake when he saved me from the wrath of Mr. Xi?
