With a touch, Benamoth calmed Saland, and with a snap of his fingers, he teleported them to a distant vantage point. From there, they could safely observe the unfolding clash.
"Bruhsuperdoom," Benamoth's voice resonated, imbued with a quiet intensity, "Singularity Destruction. I am Benamoth, a hunter of glitches. Prepare for your defeat."
A sleek, dark blade materialized in Benamoth's right hand as he settled into a ready stance.
Bruhsuperdoom's crimson eyes narrowed. "You possess a more potent aura than any opponent I've faced today. There's a strange undercurrent about you, but in the end, it matters little."
The sun finally crested the horizon, bathing the ravaged battlefield in its golden light. Scars of the previous brutal exchange between Paul and Bruhsuperdoom were evident everywhere – shattered trees lay like fallen giants, leaving the terrain stark and open.
Bruhsuperdoom moved first, a crimson blur attempting a swift punch. But Benamoth, with an almost imperceptible shift, utilized his Projection technique, phasing out of harm's way. He retaliated with a swift sword strike, aimed true, only for Bruhsuperdoom to meet the attack with a hardened forearm. A blast of raw, red energy erupted from Bruhsuperdoom's other hand.
Benamoth recoiled, dodging the energy bolt with a fluid backward leap. A vibrant yellow aura flared around his form, and with a burst of speed, he countered. His blade descended, cleaving the very earth, leaving a deep, jagged fissure in its wake.
Bruhsuperdoom roared, channeling his crimson energy. A powered-up fist shot forward, but Benamoth met it with his dark blade, the impact sending him skidding backward. In the blink of an eye, Benamoth was upon him again, a whirlwind of motion as he unleashed a rapid barrage of slashes, leaving thin, angry red lines across Bruhsuperdoom's armored form.
A powerful kick from Bruhsuperdoom sent Benamoth hurtling into the air. Undeterred, Benamoth focused, and a concentrated beam of yellow energy lanced out, striking Bruhsuperdoom squarely.
Dust billowed, obscuring Bruhsuperdoom for a moment. When it cleared, he unleashed a relentless barrage of energy blasts, each a searing streak of red. Benamoth's blade danced, deflecting every single projectile with uncanny precision.
Closing the distance in a flash, Bruhsuperdoom delivered a devastating punch to Benamoth's chest. The glitch hunter gasped, dropping to one knee. As Bruhsuperdoom moved in for the kill, an impossible shift occurred. Benamoth vanished and reappeared instantly behind his opponent.
"To truly defeat you," Benamoth's voice was now laced with an eerie calm, "I will have to reveal my true nature..."
A grotesque transformation began. Benamoth's hair darkened to a stark black, and his head twisted, morphing into a nightmarish visage of black and yellow. An unsettling grin stretched across his new features. His attire followed suit, his jacket and pants shifting to a stark yellow and black pattern. The very air around him thickened with a palpable pressure.
"Allow me to properly introduce myself," the transformed Benamoth announced, his voice now carrying a chilling undertone. "My name is Benamoth, and I am a mid-class glitch who harbors a deep loathing for others of my kind. This world is mine, and I will protect it at any cost. For that purpose, I have already purged many of my own race. My singularity… is Projection."
Saland and his companions could only stare in stunned silence. Bruhsuperdoom, however, erupted in laughter. "Never would I have imagined facing another glitch! But if you intend to stand in my way, I will eliminate you without hesitation!"
Benamoth moved with impossible speed, a near-instantaneous shift in space. His blade flashed, aiming a devastating strike that tore through the air, obliterating the remnants of a distant castle in its wake.
Bruhsuperdoom narrowly avoided the blow and retaliated with a punch, but Benamoth countered with a swift kick, sending his opponent reeling into the air. Another searing yellow energy slash followed.
Bruhsuperdoom recovered instantly, unleashing a furious storm of punches. Benamoth's blade became a blur, deflecting each strike with practiced ease. In a flicker of movement, Benamoth projected himself behind Bruhsuperdoom and delivered a powerful blow. Bruhsuperdoom staggered back, only to be met by Benamoth materializing directly in front of him, his blade aimed true. A thunderous punch from Bruhsuperdoom collided with Benamoth's guard.
Both combatants leaped backward, a tense standoff in the ravaged landscape. "It seems we are evenly matched," Bruhsuperdoom growled, his crimson eyes blazing. "Let us unleash our true power, our singularities!"
"Very well," Benamoth responded, his unsettling grin widening. "I accept your challenge."
In unison, they roared, "Singularity Destruction! Projection!"
A thick cloud of smoke billowed outwards, slowly beginning to dissipate. When it cleared, Benamoth's transformed appearance was even more grotesque. A third eye now adorned his forehead, and the unsettling smile remained. The yellow and black patterns on his clothes were overlaid with pulsating black lines across his body. Behind him, two luminous arcs formed perfect circles, each adorned with four sharp points.
Bruhsuperdoom, in contrast, now sported two massive red gauntlets that extended up his forearms. Black lines snaked across his shoulders, and his usual menacing grin and crimson eyes remained unchanged.
With a speed that defied the eye, the two figures blurred, colliding in a supersonic impact that unleashed a cataclysmic shockwave. Benamoth moved again, a rapid series of afterimages as he unleashed a relentless barrage of slashes, drawing lines of crimson across Bruhsuperdoom's armor. Bruhsuperdoom retaliated, slamming a fist into the ground, causing the earth beneath Benamoth to buckle and crack.
Benamoth channeled energy into his blade, unleashing a powerful energy blast, but Bruhsuperdoom deflected it with a casual flick of his gauntlet. In a flash of red, Bruhsuperdoom lunged, but Benamoth projected himself to his left, delivering a powerful kick that sent his opponent tumbling through the air. Benamoth followed with a swift aerial maneuver, and the two traded a furious exchange of blows in mid-air. Each impact sent shockwaves rippling outwards, culminating in a blinding explosion as their attacks collided.
They landed heavily, both taking up defensive stances once more. Benamoth raised his blade high, a verdant aura swirling around him, intensifying. He further amplified his quantum unlock with his surging energy, pushing his power to an unprecedented level. Bruhsuperdoom roared, his own aura flaring to its peak, the red gauntlets on his arms glowing with intense light.
With a final, desperate surge, both figures shot upwards, two streaks of pure energy hurtling towards each other. When their ultimate attacks collided, the resulting explosion was earth-shattering, a colossal shockwave ripping through the landscape, obliterating the remaining trees in a vast radius.
As the smoke finally began to settle, the victor was revealed. Benamoth's desperate quantum unlock had failed to connect. Bruhsuperdoom stood, his right arm having pierced through Benamoth's chest, his other gauntlet having parried the final, desperate blow. In his hand, Bruhsuperdoom held Benamoth's glowing core.
"In the end… it came to this," Benamoth whispered, his voice fading. "Perhaps… my end could not have been more fitting."
Without a word, Bruhsuperdoom crushed the core. Benamoth's body began to disintegrate, turning to dust. Bruhsuperdoom turned his gaze towards Saland and his companions. "Farewell," he uttered, his voice carrying a strange weight.
With the last vestiges of his power, Benamoth reached out, his hand grasping Bruhsuperdoom's left arm. An immense light erupted, followed by a final, cataclysmic explosion. When the light subsided, Benamoth was gone, vanished forever.
Saland and his companions wept, their hearts heavy with loss. But through the lingering smoke, a figure emerged. It was Bruhsuperdoom, his left arm gone, half of his face scarred and blackened.
"For now… I will let you go," Bruhsuperdoom rasped, his voice strained. "My injuries are too severe to continue this fight. But know this… next time, I will be the one to attack."
With those final words, Bruhsuperdoom dissolved into shimmering particles of light and vanished.
