Chapter 1 - born of the destruction

Many years ago, the God of Thunder, Zeus, visited the home of his greatest enemy—Cendre, a powerful mortal mage. Despite being human, Cendre had always rivaled Zeus in power, matching him blow for blow.

Consumed by rage and fear of Cendre's growing strength, Zeus struck without mercy. He drove two enchanted daggers into Cendre's eyes, then reached into his mouth and tore out his heart, ending the mage's life in brutal fashion.

But Zeus's wrath didn't end there. He turned his fury toward Cendre's wife, committing an unspeakable act before vanishing back to Olympus.

Unbeknownst to him, a witness stood in the shadows—Kaizo, the young son of Cendre. Horrified but determined, Kaizo swore on that day to avenge his parents, no matter how long it took.

Fourteen years later, Kaizo ascended Mount Olympus to confront the gods. But the divine pantheon proved too powerful. Outmatched and overwhelmed, Kaizo was defeated, imprisoned in a mystical tomb, and hidden deep within an ancient, forgotten forest—lost to time and memory.

Years passed.

Two young boys, Orion and Attius, were wandering through a dense forest, chatting as they walked.

"I'm so bored of just listening to Grandma's old stories," Orion said with an irritated sigh.

"Me too," Attius replied, rolling his eyes. "Hey, what if we go on an adventure? We've never been this deep into the forest before."

Orion's eyes lit up. "Of course! Exploring the forest sounds way more fun!"

Excited, the two boys ventured deeper among the trees, laughing and pushing through the underbrush. Eventually, they stumbled upon a crumbling, ancient temple, long abandoned and almost completely destroyed by time.

Curious, they stepped inside, the air thick with dust and mystery. In the center of the temple stood a large, sealed stone structure—Kaizo's tomb. But the boys mistook it for something else.

"Whoa!" Orion gasped. "We're gonna be rich! This has to be a treasure chest!"

Attius's eyes widened. "Yeah! There must be gold and diamonds inside!"

Without hesitation, they opened the tomb.

Suddenly, a massive blast of energy burst out, throwing the boys backward. From the swirling light and smoke, a figure emerged—tall, powerful, and shrouded in shadows.

It was Kaizo.

His hair had grown long during his imprisonment, his eyes were sharp and burning with vengeance, his body muscular and battle-ready. He wore all black, his presence radiating raw power.

The world had forgotten him... but Kaizo had not forgotten the gods.

Orion stepped back, eyes wide with fear. "W-who are you?" he asked in a nervous, trembling voice.

The dark figure turned to face him fully, his piercing eyes glowing faintly in the dim light of the ruined temple.

"My name is Kaizo," he said, his voice deep, calm, and heavy with centuries of pain.

Attius, still shaken by the explosion, took a cautious step forward. "How did you get here? And… who exactly are you?"

Kaizo looked down for a moment, then slowly began to speak. His voice echoed through the ruins as he told them everything.

"I was once the son of a mortal mage named Cendre, a man powerful enough to challenge the gods. My father was murdered by Zeus—not in battle, but in cold blood. He gouged out my father's eyes… tore out his heart… and worse, he took everything from us. My mother… my home… gone. I was just a child, hiding, watching as it all happened. From that moment, I made a promise to the gods. I would return. I would make them pay.

Fourteen years later, I climbed Mount Olympus to fulfill that promise—but the gods are not so easily defeated. They crushed me, cursed me, and sealed me away in this tomb, hidden in a forgotten place where time would bury my name."

Kaizo's fists clenched tightly. "But the world has changed… and now, I am free."

Orion and Attius were silent, absorbing every word.

"So… that's your story," Orion said softly, his voice carrying sympathy and a hint of sadness. "And now you want revenge."

Kaizo nodded slowly.

Attius straightened up, his eyes full of determination. "Then we'll help you. You're injured and weak right now—you won't survive alone."

Kaizo looked at them, surprised. "You two can't fight beside me. The battles ahead are against gods. But…" he paused, placing a hand on his side where the wound still burned, "…you can help me heal."

---

Later that evening, the three of them made their way out of the forest. Orion and Attius guided Kaizo through winding paths until, just before dawn, they arrived at their village—a small, quiet place nestled between hills and trees.

Villagers looked up in surprise as the boys returned with a tall, mysterious stranger dressed in black, his body covered in scars and fresh wounds.

Orion leaned toward Kaizo and whispered, "Don't worry, we'll take care of you here."

And so began the second chapter of Kaizo's life—not in battle, but in recovery, and with two unlikely allies by his side.
