Chapter 70 - Chapter 70: Tang San and Yu Xiaogang Are Isolated, Four Months of Training Results

"Ugh…"

Dai Mubai couldn't help but recall the previous conversation between Tang San and Yu Xiaogang.

He seemed to have said: "F…Father—I mean, teacher!"

"Ugh…" The moment he remembered that, he felt sick to his stomach. And now, Yu Xiaogang might've even become a eunuch.

Now they were doing a cross-cupped wine toast?

The image was disgusting to the extreme. "Blegh…" Dai Mubai gagged violently.

He almost threw up.

Ma Hongjun also nearly puked. It was the first time he'd seen something so outrageous. Truly, too bizarre for words.

"What the hell…"

Oscar was also dumbfounded. These two were downright revolting, doing such a gross thing while the rest of them weren't even around.

"Holy shit…"

Xiao Wu was equally shocked by the scene. Those two idiots were doing something so messed up it made her skin crawl.

"..."

Ning Rongrong was just frozen, speechless. She didn't even know how to describe their behavior.

"!"

Zhu Zhuqing was totally blanked out.

Zhang Fan smirked mischievously. These two clowns—if people heard about this, they'd be laughed to death.

Just then, Flender and Zhao Wuji walked in from outside. Seeing the two of them, they froze for a few seconds.

"This is absolutely disgraceful!"

Flender's face turned stormy. This Yu Xiaogang had been acting nuts lately, and now even Tang San seemed infected.

He was utterly speechless.

"How can you two behave like this?!"

Zhao Wuji stormed over furiously, barking, "Shameless!"

"Smack—"

Zhao Wuji suddenly slapped Yu Xiaogang across the face. The latter's head jerked sideways—

"Ah…"—and woke up with a start.

He looked down and realized he and Tang San were holding hands in a crossed grip… with wine cups in them.

"Uh… What just happened?"

Yu Xiaogang blinked in confusion for several seconds. Meanwhile, Tang San still wore an intoxicated smile as he sipped from the wine cup.

"Smack—" Yu Xiaogang slapped Tang San awake.

"AH!" Tang San screamed, snapping out of it.

"Aaah?!"

He looked down, only to realize he was holding his… uh… foster mom's hand, and they were apparently doing a wedding toast. His face went blank.

"What happened?"

"What do you mean what happened?! You two were doing a damn cross-cupped toast!"

Zhao Wuji growled in disgust:

"Can you NOT act like lunatics in front of everyone? If you're gonna go mad, at least do it somewhere private. Don't drag down the Shrek team's reputation!"

"Exactly. Go be nuts somewhere else!"

Dai Mubai walked over and pointed at the duo angrily.

"How could you two even do something like that?!"

Ma Hongjun ran over, equally upset.

"We… didn't mean to!" Yu Xiaogang looked both embarrassed and confused.

"I have no idea why I suddenly snapped. It's not like we wanted this to happen!"

"Yeah! How can you blame us for this?!"

Tang San's face turned dark. These people saw him and his godmother freak out but did nothing to stop them—instead, they blamed them after the fact.

That pissed Tang San off even more. It wasn't like they wanted to go crazy—it just happened. Now they were being blamed too? That was just the cherry on top.

"All right, that's enough. They weren't in control of themselves anyway."

Flender finally sighed and turned to leave with Zhao Wuji and Zhang Fan in tow.

Tang San and Yu Xiaogang sat down at the dining table, exchanging glances.

"How could we do something that gross?" Yu Xiaogang regretted it the more he thought about it. "That was a cross-cupped toast, man. That's not something you just forget!"

"Exactly. I'm still dazed."

Tang San was clearly frustrated. "You think we might've been possessed?"

"Could be!" Yu Xiaogang looked around nervously—left, right—but saw nothing.

Still, it felt like some invisible force was toying with them.

He thought to himself: This life is just too messed up.

Tang San felt similarly. He was starting to wonder if life was just one long, cruel joke.

...

Soon after, they went back to rest.

At the same time, Qin Ming and Yu Tianheng arrived at the hotel.

Yu Tianheng met with Yu Xiaogang.

And as for Qin Ming, his goal was to meet with Flender and Zhao Wuji.

"Dean Flender, Vice Dean Zhao… I came here today to invite your students to join Heaven Dou Royal Academy!"

Qin Ming spoke seriously:

"Our academy has simulated cultivation environments that can greatly accelerate spirit power training. The Continental Spirit Master Academy Elite Tournament only allows recognized schools to participate, and Shrek Academy isn't registered under any kingdom or empire. Even though Shrek has a great reputation in the spirit master world, it isn't eligible to compete."

"Your students are simply too monstrous in talent to be hidden away. They deserve to compete."

"This…" Flender looked troubled after hearing that.

"I do have one condition," Zhao Wuji interjected. "If the students join Heaven Dou, Shrek's teachers must be allowed to join too, and their education must still be handled by us. You cannot interfere."

"That's a tough ask. I don't mind letting your teachers join… but 'no interference'? That might be a stretch," Qin Ming replied with a wry smile.

"Wuji is right. I used to think only about my dream, not the children's future. They're exceptional—especially Zhang Fan, who will surely become the brightest star on the continent. Giving them a better home might not be a bad thing."

Flender sighed and added, "Let Wuji make the call. I need to be alone for a bit."

Flender walked out to the hotel balcony, looking up at the starlit sky.

"Life really is just a dream. In a flash… it's already been twenty years."

"Teacher, don't be sad! I'll stay by your side!" Ma Hongjun came over.

"Stay for what? You're all going to shine at Heaven Dou Royal Academy!" Flender scowled at him.

"Uh… wait, really?" Ma Hongjun blinked. So that's why Qin Ming was here?

"Since Shrek can't participate in the Continental Elite Tournament, your only chance is to join Heaven Dou. I won't let your futures get ruined because of me."

Flender's voice was filled with regret. His dream, the one he chased for twenty years, was slipping away.

Ma Hongjun saw how disheartened his teacher was. It was tough—his dream hadn't been fulfilled, and now they were all leaving.

Zhao Wuji, after finishing talks with Qin Ming, walked over to Flender and said, "Boss, we'll take the kids to see the place first and then decide."

"Alright. You've wandered the world for years. Smart guy. We'll go with your plan," Flender nodded. This brotherhood wasn't in vain.

Soon after, Qin Ming and company left.

Then came four months of intense training, and everyone's levels improved:

Evil-Eyed White Tiger, Dai Mubai: Level 38, Three-Ring Battle Soul Sovereign.

Sausage Specialist, Oscar: Level 31, Three-Ring Tool Soul Sovereign.

Asura of a Thousand Hands, Tang San: Level 33, Three-Ring Battle Soul Sovereign.
