"Nine-Heart Begonia only has one type of ability. No matter how many spirit rings it has, it only has one spirit skill—a wide-range, group healing ability. The healing strength is controlled by the spirit master's will. The higher the level and the more rings, the more spirit power can be used to heal."
"My dad said, unless she runs out of spirit power, it's basically impossible for us to hurt any opponent on their team."—Ning Rongrong said solemnly.
"That's an almost perfect combo!"—Yu Xiaogang exclaimed.
"Pfft... How perfect could it be? Is it more perfect than us?"—Xiao Wu scoffed with disdain.
"Good point!"—Zhu Zhuqing nodded in agreement.
Soto Great Spirit Arena, VIP Lounge Area, Room No. 3.
The luxurious room was about 200 square meters, occupied by only seven people who all looked to be in their early twenties.
One young man sat in the center of the sofa. He had long black hair, a lean figure, and while not exactly handsome, he had a stiff expression like his facial muscles had forgotten how to move. His blue combat attire gave off an intimidating aura as he sat with his eyes closed, resting.
Beside him sat a lazy-looking woman with short, deep-purple hair, giving off a bold, heroic vibe. Her eyes, however, were green—adding a mysterious and eerie edge.
"Yan Zi, stop sticking so close to him. We're about to puke watching you two!"—A handsome young man muttered lazily.
"Cut the crap. Save your strength. Prepare for the next battle."—The blue-clad young man replied coldly.
"Boss, with our strength, do we even need to 'save strength'? We're all Silver Spirit Fighters. No one in Soto Arena can beat us."—The handsome guy chuckled.
"Don't get too cocky. The world of spirit masters is vast and full of monsters. No one can be 100% sure of winning."—The blue-clad young man warned.
Suddenly, a middle-aged man in his thirties, plain-looking and modestly dressed, walked in.
The seven members of the Royal Battle Team quickly stood up and respectfully greeted:
"Teacher."
Yu Tianheng noticed something odd in the teacher's expression and couldn't help but ask,"Teacher Qin, what's wrong?"
A sharp gleam flashed in Teacher Qin's eyes as he spoke:"This time, I'm afraid you're up against a powerful opponent. Here's a brief file on your opponents."
As he spoke, he laid a scroll flat on the table.
"The Shrek Seven Devils—background unknown, Iron Spirit Fighter badges. Just Iron Spirit Fighters—what's to be afraid of?"—Vice-captain Dugu Yan said.
"True, but they only registered a month ago. In that time, they've already racked up enough points for Silver Spirit Fighter rank. Twenty-seven team battles, twenty-seven wins. It took you all a full year to reach Silver."—Teacher Qin said calmly.
"Soto City is still a far cry from the capital. They just haven't faced any real opponents yet."—Wind Bell Bird Spirit Master Yufeng objected.
"The Mad Battle Team was no weaker than you all, yet they were annihilated by Shrek Team in seconds."—Teacher Qin shot Yufeng a look as he spoke.
"Uhh... That's ridiculous. Instant kill?"Everyone in the Royal Battle Team now stared at the document with deep interest.
Shrek Seven Devils Team:
Captain: Sword ImmortalMartial Spirit: Heaven's Destruction SwordLevel 46 Power Attack Spirit MasterSpirit Rings: Four black
"What?!"
"I didn't mishear, did I?"
Yu Tianheng and the others were stunned by Teacher Qin's words.
"You heard right. Level 46, with four ten-thousand-year spirit rings. Rumor is: 10,000 years, 20,000 years, 30,000 years, and 50,000 years respectively."—Teacher Qin confirmed.
"That's…"They were left speechless.
Then the rest of the team was introduced.
"Aside from their captain and the Evil-Eyed White Tiger, the rest don't seem to pose much of a threat."—Dugu Yan shook her head.
"As vice-captain, how can you so easily underestimate your opponents?"—Teacher Qin frowned.
Dugu Yan stuck out her tongue and said nothing more.
Teacher Qin (Full name Qin Ming), thirty-four years old. He had broken through to Level 60 earlier this year, becoming a Spirit Emperor—the second-youngest Spirit Emperor ever recorded in Martial Spirit Hall history.
The team then began to analyze Shrek's formation, before heading to the main arena.
The central arena was larger than others—quiet, surrounded by VIP rooms filled with influential figures and enormous bets.
Under the dazzling glow of golden soul guide lights, the main arena sparkled.
Its diameter spanned 70 meters—enough space for a hundred fighters.
There were 12 high-tier VIP rooms and 320 standard ones, all fully booked.
A massive golden pillar slowly rose from the center.
A young hostess, appearing about 18 or 19 years old, stood atop it in a white robe, her brown, wavy hair cascading down. Holding a cone-shaped voice amplifier, she wore a professional smile.
"Greetings, honored guests. Welcome to today's team battle match in the central arena. I'm Dou Dou.Today's battle features two Silver Spirit Fighter teams: the genius team, the Royal Battle Team, versus the Shrek Team.Their captains are Yu Tianheng, Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Spirit Master… and Sword Immortal, Heaven's Destruction Sword Master…"
Dou Dou continued smiling as she introduced:
"Would both teams please enter the arena."
As she flew into the air, both teams walked toward the center at the same time.
Yu Tianheng led the Royal Team, with Dugu Yan at his left. Behind were the Shi brothers, then Panther Oslo and Yufeng, with Ye Lengleng at the rear.
The Royal Team wore a mix of gear.
Shrek Team, meanwhile, looked stylish except for their slightly ridiculous green masks.
As always, Zhang Fan led the Shrek Team, the formation unchanged.
As both sides stepped into the arena, Yu Tianheng immediately locked eyes with Zhang Fan.
Their gazes collided like thunder and dragon roars.
Yu Tianheng staggered back a few steps, face pale—Sword Immortal's gaze was so intense it felt like facing mountains of corpses and rivers of blood. The pressure was overwhelming.
"Captain, are you okay?"—Dugu Yan quickly supported Yu Tianheng.
His condition caused frowns among the nobles who had bet on the Royal Team.
"Both teams, prepare yourselves. You have one minute to summon your martial spirits and release your spirit rings. The battle will continue until one side admits defeat, is completely knocked out, or falls from the arena."—Dou Dou announced from mid-air.
"Buzz…"
The stage shimmered with multicolored lights.
When Zhang Fan's spirit and rings appeared, even the previously silent VIP rooms erupted in shock.
"This youth's future is unimaginable."
"Truly beyond comprehension."
"So… should I go ahead and insta-kill them, or do you all want some training first?"—Zhang Fan suddenly turned and asked Dai Mubai and Xiao Wu.
"Of course we fight first! Then we talk!"—Xiao Wu smiled at him.
"Makes sense."—Zhu Zhuqing nodded,"Then let's begin."As she spoke, her martial spirit activated and she darted forward, leaving behind blurry afterimages.
