Chapter 1: A Second Chance
It was a normal Monday afternoon. April 14th, 2025, to be exact. I was sitting at my desk, typing away furiously on my laptop, crafting yet another chapter for my new webnovel Evil Rising Again. The story was coming together nicely—dark cultivation techniques, a ruthless protagonist, and a world filled with betrayal and ambition.
I was proud of it but lately it's getting hard to write nice chapters due to my inexperience but getting along well with the support of my loyal friendly readers.
But then during writing my laptop screen goes off suddenly along with my room lights after some seconds and then … everything went black.
When I opened my eyes again, I wasn't in my room anymore. Instead, I found myself lying in a dark room that smelled faintly of wood and dust. My body felt unfamiliar—stronger, leaner—and my head throbbed painfully as memories began flooding in.
"No… Why did you betray me? Why? I loved you… so why?" A voice echoed in my mind—a voice that wasn't mine but felt like it belonged to me.
"Holy shit!"
Suddenly, it hit me like a truck (not literally this time): I had reincarnated into the body of Tian Mo, the protagonist of my own novel Evil Rising Again. Yes, you heard that right—I'm now living inside the world I created. And let me tell you, it's both terrifying and exhilarating.
I sat up on the bed, clutching my head as more memories surged through me—memories of betrayal, cultivation breakthroughs, battles fought over future's thousands of years. It was overwhelming, but also… kind of awesome. I mean, who wouldn't want to wake up as the main character in their own story?
"Okay," I muttered to myself. "Let's figure this out. First things first: where am I?"
I fumbled around in the darkness for a light switch and eventually found one beside the bed. The room lit up instantly—a modest bedroom with plain walls and a desk cluttered with books and papers. It looked eerily familiar due to these new memories despite seeing for the first time.
On the bedside table lay a phone. I grabbed it and unlocked the screen. The wallpaper showed a younger version of me—or rather, Tian Mo—smiling confidently. The date read April 8th, 2025.
"Wait… what? Did I just reincarnate into Tian Mo's body before he started his cultivation journey? This is thousands of years before his peak! Am I some kind of Heaven Chosen now?"
I rushed to the mirror across the room and stared at my reflection: sharp features framed by raven-black hair; deep abyssal eyes that seemed to hold secrets; lean muscles that screamed "main villain material." If I were still writing this story, I'd give myself a solid 10/10 for looks.
"Well," I said with a smirk, "I guess I'm ready for my close-up."
Just as I began admiring myself (don't judge me), another wave of memories hit—this time sharper and more intense. It felt like someone was stabbing my brain with needles made of fire.
Scenes flashed before my eyes: Tian Mo cultivating the Primordial Chaos Divine Sins Demonic Technique, unlocking abilities tied to Lust, Greed, Wrath… you name it. Battles fought against Heaven Chosen protagonists who dared stand in his way. Betrayals from allies he trusted most—his wife poisoning him on his thousandth birthday celebration.
The pain subsided after what felt like hours (but was probably just minutes). When it was over, I had full access to Tian Mo's knowledge: his cultivation technique, his combat skills, his ambitions—and yes, his sense of humor.
"Alright," I said aloud to no one in particular (except maybe you readers). "Let's get one thing straight: this is no ordinary reincarnation story. This is Evil Rising Again, starring yours truly as Tian Mo."
I paused dramatically for effect (because why not?). "And let me tell you—it's going to be one hell of a ride."
With Tian Mo's memories fully integrated into mine, I knew exactly what needed to be done next: start cultivating the Primordial Chaos Divine Sins Demonic Technique.
This technique wasn't just powerful—it was downright sinister:
Body Refining Realm unlocked Chaos Evil Qi.
And at higher realms? Lust manipulation that bound women emotionally; Greed enhancement that exploited desires; Wrath incitement that turned enemies into uncontrollable forces.
Oh, and did I mention it was also a dual cultivation technique? That meant slowly bending women's wills and making them obsessively loyal to me—a feature that would definitely come in handy for building an secret force.
As Tian Mo (or should I say myself?), my goals were clear:
Strive for immortality: No way am I dying again—not after getting this second chance.
Create a secret force: My women's and children's would become the tools to expand my influence across realms with my immortal physique and cultivation technique.
Steal opportunities: Thanks to Fortune Seeing Eyes, which was a unique ability to Tian Mo (and my insider knowledge), Heaven Chosen protagonists (which you know as slapping punchbags) wouldn't stand a chance against me.
Rewrite fate: This is my story now—and no one else gets to dictate how it ends.
"Now," I said aloud again (because talking to yourself is totally normal when you're reincarnated), "let's address the elephant in the room: am I evil?"
I shrugged nonchalantly. "Probably. But hey—immortality doesn't come cheap."
After all, Tian Mo got betrayed due to his good nature despite being a pervert, narcissist, cheating bastard ?(Okay he got what he deserved)
With that thought firmly planted in my mind (and yours), I got up from bed and prepared for what would undoubtedly be an epic journey.
As I began my day, I couldn't help but think about the people around me. My adopted aunt, Maya Weaver, was a stunning woman in her early forties who looked no different from someone in her early twenties. She had taken care of me since my parents died in a car accident when I was eight years old in this life. Her beauty and kindness had always been a source of comfort, but now, with my newfound perspective, I saw her in a different light.
"Good morning, Aunt!" I greeted her warmly as I entered the dining area.
"Same to you, sweetheart!" Maya replied, her voice laced with affection—a habit she had developed since raising me as her own.
As we sat down to eat, I couldn't help but notice the way Maya's eyes crinkled at the corners when she smiled. I had always admired her beauty, but now, with my thousand years of experience, I saw her in a different light. There was a part of me that yearned to hear her call me "sweetheart" in a different tone, one filled with desire and intimacy.
But for now, I had to focus on my goals. I needed to become financially independent from Maya, which meant executing my plans to earn large sums quickly through investments and betting. I had researched extensively on how to manipulate markets and predict outcomes during previous life by finding ways to earn money fast which I only loss.(Of course bullshit! ,who has the time; it's just future knowledge.)
"Aunt, can you transfer some money into my account?" I asked, my expression innocent.
Maya raised an eyebrow. "Didn't you just get your pocket money at the start of the month?"
I maintained a straight face. "I need it for a sign-up form on an online platform."
Maya studied me, searching for any sign of deception. Satisfied that I was telling the truth, she agreed. "How much do you need?"
"Just $1,000," I replied.
Maya's eyes narrowed slightly. "Are you sure you're not spending it on something frivolous?"
I feigned hurt, my voice rising slightly. "Of course not! Why would I waste money on activities where you're likely to lose?"
Maya sighed, shaking her head. "Okay, I'll send you the money later. Stop making that face; I didn't mean to hurt you."
I reassured her with a smile, thinking to myself that I knew exactly how these games were played.
After finishing breakfast, I gathered my things and headed out. "Bye, Aunt Maya! See you later."
"Okay! Bye," Maya replied, watching me leave with a mix of curiosity and concern. She couldn't quite put her finger on it, but something about me seemed different—more mature, more calm, yet somehow more mysterious.
As she returned to her chores, Maya couldn't shake off the feeling that I was growing up in ways she couldn't fully understand.
As I rode my bicycle to the university, I couldn't help but think about my future plans. I would cultivate the Primordial Chaos Divine Sins Demonic Technique, unlock its sinister abilities, and build an secret force that spanned realms. The thought sent a shiver down my spine—a mix of excitement and anticipation.
"He..He..he..." Laughter spilling from me evilly like having time of my life just thinking about it.
But for now, I had to focus on the present. I had to become financially independent, gather resources, and start my cultivation journey. The road ahead would be long and treacherous, but I was ready. (Or else how could I complete my dark fantasies.)
