Chapter 50 - Chapter 050: Everyone’s Breaking the Rules! First Push for Rank 1!

"First of all, the new students have successfully passed their first challenge."

"And this year's batch seems a bit different from before, which makes things even more exciting."

"But there are still a few rules you all need to follow."

"Especially when it comes to breaking the rules—don't let it happen again."

"The first month is over, and while the school won't look too deeply into past violations, to stop you from doing it again, we will publicly post the punishments."

So, the school posted a notice showing the rule violations of Class B, C, and D's homeroom teachers.

Former 1st Year Class B – Hoshinomiya Chie: 100,000 private points deducted.

Former 1st Year Class C – Sakagami Kazuma: 500,000 private points deducted.

1st Year Class D – Chabashira Sae: 1.5 million private points deducted, plus all salary for May, June, and July.

The student council president at this school was sharp, and once the school decided on the punishments, a student council member quickly made them public.

So when Mashima-sensei and the others walked over to the announcement board, they saw the breakdown of penalties for the B, C, and D class homeroom teachers.

"..." Mashima stayed silent.

He wasn't alone—four teachers had come out of the chairman's office together and ended up seeing the notice at the same time.

Since the chairman hadn't said who got hit with what penalty, they came here to find out.

And once they saw it, the situation felt way more serious than expected.

"I thought you all said nobody broke any rules?" Mashima said.

Hoshinomiya's 100,000-point fine was already kind of bad, but Sakagami got 500,000 deducted, and Chabashira's was insane—1.5 million points, plus losing three months' salary.

So what exactly did these three do to deserve this?

"Also, it's not just the three of us who got points taken away," Hoshinomiya said. "Take a look at the punishment section here."

In the punishment section, two students also had their private points taken away.

One of them was Nagumo Miyabi from 2nd Year Class A, who lost 300,000 points.

The other was Yukinoshita Hachiman from 3rd Year Class C, who had 1.2 million points confiscated.

It was a bit strange to see upperclassmen losing points like this, since they should already know very well what they can and can't do at school.

Wait a second—Nagumo Miyabi from 2nd Year Class A—that's the same popular student who led Class B last year and got invited to the student council by Horikita Manabu, right?

Even he broke the rules?

But there were some hints. For example, when it came to Yukinoshita Hachiman from 3rd Year Class C, the wording used was "confiscated."

What does "confiscated" mean? It means the points came from breaking the rules, so they were taken away.

In this case, it likely means he broke the school's confidentiality agreement and leaked sensitive school info to the first-years.

Majima-sensei, seeing that three out of the four teachers involved were all acting shady, stepped in and said:

"The reason for the deduction from 3rd Year Class C is because one of my students bought school information from him."

"Right after school started, my student asked if they could buy that kind of info from me, but I said no."

"So they went and found an upperclassman to get it instead."

Is that the real reason why Class A was able to keep such a high score of 925?

But then…

What Majima-sensei said quickly caught someone's attention—Hoshinomiya Chie.

After the behavior exam for the new students, her 1st Year Class B dropped down, which meant her salary for this month would also be reduced to Class C's level.

That was a pretty sad outcome.

On top of that, she had to deal with the shame of being part of the worst B class ever—falling in rank after just the first month.

You could say it was downright humiliating.

But she had no intention of just letting it go.

So she decided to mess with Sakagami a little.

"So, Sakagami-sensei, your class only got such a high score this time because one of your students broke the rules, right?"

"There's no way your class could've figured out the school's system so quickly and responded that well on their own," she said while turning to look at Sakagami.

"No, not at all," said Sakagami Kazuma. "Everything was discovered by my students themselves. They're just that sharp."

"And if Class A students already knew so much about how the school works, there's no way to be sure they didn't leak the info themselves, right?"

As their homeroom teacher, he obviously knew Ryuen's group got the school information through shady means from the upperclassmen.

It wasn't something to be proud of.

But since the school hadn't punished them in any way, didn't that mean they were quietly allowing it to happen?

So…

As long as no one reports it, and it doesn't get exposed, even if someone breaks the rules, there won't be any punishment.

And since Class A's students clearly had the school info early on, it was easy to just blame them for the leak.

"But hey, Chabashira, how did you end up losing that many points?" Sakagami's defense wasn't airtight—it could be picked apart. But Hoshinomiya suddenly shifted her attention to Chabashira Sae instead. She asked the question while giving her a little wink.

"Or maybe… you broke all those rules just to help your class move up?"
