[Quests]– Golden Ghost Rumor– Clear Dungeon: Burrowed Madness ✅– Abandoned: Clear Without Killing

[System Mood: Freshly Discharged. Bandages Off. Wallet Ready. LET'S GO.]

"Home sweet… closet-sized apartment," Jin Hwan muttered as he opened the door to his tiny studio.
It hadn't changed. A mini fridge that sounded like it was choking. A single futon. Cracks on the wall that might qualify as historical. And one lonely plant that was more 'spiritually alive' than physically.
He sighed and flopped onto the mattress.
"You know," he said aloud, "I'm practically a dungeon-clearing beast now. I should be living like a king."
[System Mood: YES YOU SHOULD. Palace. Hot spring. Fluffy rugs. At least a working toilet that doesn't scream at 3AM.]
"Alright," he stretched. "Let's get to it."
❖ [Hunter Market – Central Seoul]
Loot bags in hand, Jin Hwan walked into the bustling hunter's market. Crystals, cores, monster bones, rare herbs—he had it all.
The vendors lit up as soon as they saw the loot.
"Yo! F-rank boy's back from the dead again!"
"You still breathing? Thought the Den Mother would've eaten your ears!"
"Heard your team wrecked it, kid. That fire girl still single?"
Jin Hwan smirked.
[System Mood: Respect Level +5. Still broke, but shiny broke.]
One by one, he sold the loot. Rare cores from mutated rabbits, toxic glands, even the corrupted fang of the Den Mother.
₩4,820,000 earned.
A small fortune for a low-rank hunter.
He immediately opened his phone, scrolling through real estate listings.
A cozy two-bedroom apartment…A downtown flat with kitchen space that wasn't the bathroom…Even a small villa outside the city, complete with a garden and training room.
He hovered his finger over the "Schedule Viewing" button.
Then paused.
"...No. Not yet."
He smiled, tucking his phone away.
"Let's dream a little bigger first."
[System Mood: Holding off the mansion to afford a castle later. KING ENERGY.]
❖ [Weapon Hall – Black Fang Forge]
Rows of gear. Legendary blades sealed in glass. Armor radiating mana.
Jin Hwan walked through the high-end blacksmith district until he found what he was looking for.
Not a longsword.
Not a hammer.
But…
Dual Daggers.
One with a curved black obsidian edge. The other glowing faintly golden, like sunlight trapped in metal.
"Wind and flame forged," the blacksmith said. "Twin heart-core daggers. Perfect for mobility and rapid strike types."
"How much?"
"₩3.9 million."
Jin Hwan winced. "Oof. That hurts."
[System Mood: Buy it. You're literally the main character.]
He placed the bills on the counter.
"I'll take them."
❖ [Later – Rooftop, Under the Stars]
Back home, Jin Hwan stood on the roof of his building, dual daggers strapped to his back. City lights twinkled below.
He took a deep breath, the wind rustling his white hair and rabbit ears.
His fingers curled around the dagger hilts.
[System Mood: Hero Arc Loading. Determination: 94%. Overthinking: 0%. Hype: 9999%.]
"Today… a better weapon. Tomorrow… a villa. Someday—"
He looked up.
"An empire."
The System whispered gently.
[System Message: Dream big, Jin Hwan. Dream golden.]
[System Mood: SOLO MODE. CAMERA ON. LET'S FLEX FOR NOBODY BUT US.]
──────────────
The portal shimmered like a mirage at the edge of the abandoned parking lot.
Jin Hwan adjusted the new dual daggers on his back and exhaled slowly.
"Alright… first solo dungeon."
He stepped in.
❖ [Mistwood Grotto – E-Rank Dungeon]
The air changed immediately.
Fog curled through the twisted forest, thick with moss and glowing mushrooms. The sound of water dripping echoed unnaturally, like something ancient breathing in the dark.
A chill ran down his spine.
[System Mood: Spooky Forest? Check. No teammates? Check. You better not scream if something touches your leg.]
Jin Hwan smirked.
"I'm not the scared rookie I was last month."
He crouched low, fingers brushing the hilts of his blades. His body moved like water — silent, fluid, ready.
He didn't walk.
He flowed.
With Momentum Grace enhancing his balance, every step was deliberate, every dodge seamless. He leapt from stone to root to branch like a dancer trained by storms and wind.
Suddenly—
Rustle. Snap.
A monstrous lizard-beast leapt from the mist with claws raised and yellow eyes glowing.
[System Mood: Incoming jump scare in 3… 2… HA! GOTCHA.]
Jin Hwan vanished.
In a flash of wind and gold, he appeared behind the monster mid-air, flipping with a double jump.
"Too slow," he whispered.
The twin daggers slashed in an X, gleaming like moonlight on steel. The creature howled, stumbling forward as he twisted around it.
Wind wrapped around his feet, amplifying his movement.
Skill Activated – Rabbit's Wind Aura.
He dashed forward again. Faster. Lighter.
With a spin and a high kick glowing with golden aura—
BAM!
His Golden Crescent Kick landed on the beast's skull, launching it into a tree with a sickening crack.
He landed with a graceful thud, daggers pointed downward.
Fog closed around the body.
Silence.
Then—
[System Mood: Kill confirmed. Style points: 98. Bonus points for looking cool.]
He rolled his shoulders. His breathing was calm.
"I could get used to this," he whispered.
He ventured deeper.
Every turn of the Mistwood Grotto brought something different — creeping vines, monsters slinking through the fog, illusions meant to confuse.
But he moved like a ghost.
Double jumps, wind-assisted dashes, acrobatic leaps. A dagger through the air like a thrown whisper. Another enemy downed by a sliding slash, ending in a spin that looked like it belonged on a dance stage.
[System Mood: Michelangelo's 'David' but with blades. We're ART, baby.]
A pair of vine-hounds lunged at him.
He didn't blink.
He let them come.
At the last second, he stepped sideways with Aerial Drift, letting one claw pass his face.
He ducked under the second, slashing with his left blade, then spun and slashed vertically with his right — slicing clean through both.
He stood in the falling mist.
The bodies dropped behind him.
[System Mood: MVP. Main Character Vibes. Probably already has a fan club of unseen forest fairies.]
❖ [Deeper in the Mist]
He knelt beside a strange altar overgrown with moss.
Symbols pulsed faintly with mana.
"Boss room?" he guessed.
But he didn't open the door yet.
Not tonight.
He cleaned the daggers on his cloak, looking up at the false twilight filtering through the dungeon's trees.
"Next time, I finish this."
[System Mood: To Be Continued… In Style.]
