Moonveil's eyes twitched with fury. Feeling deeply insulted, he snapped.
Suddenly, massive glowing blocks of stone erupted from the arena floor, levitating with
a low rumble.
"You stupid monkey!" he roared, his voice echoing through the coliseum. "Let's see you
keep up that act once you're crushed to dust!"
With his right hand raised high, Moonveil swung it forward like hurling a blazing fastball.
The stone blocks shot toward Wei like meteors.
The first massive block struck him head-on—
—but it didn't crush him.
The moment it touched Wei's body, the block began to melt, hissing and steaming as it
disintegrated into sludge and mist, vanishing before it could even do damage. The same
thing happened with the other blocks of stone. One by one, they hurled toward Wei with
tremendous force—but each time they made contact, they melted on impact. The
glowing stones disintegrated into steam and liquid, completely nullified.
Wei didn't even flinch.
He walked forward through the chaos, eyes locked on Moonveil, his smirk widening with
every step. Then he burst into laughter—wild and unhinged.
"Hahahaha! You're nothing but a giant, oversized loot bag! Once I kill you, I'll be
swimming in gold and experience! I can't wait to see how strong I'll become… how far
my skills will evolve! Hahahaha!"
The crowd erupted—half in disbelief, half in wild cheers.
Moonveil gritted his teeth. "What are you?"
Wei's eyes glinted as he raised his sword.
"Your worst mistake!" he roared, swinging his blade down with full force.
CLANG!
The strike crashed into an invisible barrier, sending a shockwave across the arena. A
shimmering dome of energy flared to life around Moonveil, absorbing the blow.
Wei's grin twitched. "Heh. So you've got a shield too, huh?"
Moonveil smirked coldly. "You're not the only one with tricks."
Moonveil's smirk deepened. "You talk too much."
He slammed both hands onto the ground. Instantly, the arena floor cracked like
shattered glass, glowing veins of energy pulsing outward. Dozens of jagged stone
pillars erupted around Wei in a wide circle—trapping him like prey in a cage.
Wei raised an eyebrow. "Oh? More rocks?"
The stone pillars pulsed—then shattered inward, launching sharp fragments at Wei like a
storm of spears.
Moonveil shouted, "Stone Shard Maelstrom!"
The deadly hail of stone fragments raced toward Wei, spinning and slicing through the
air with blinding speed.
But just before impact, Wei's body flickered—shifting into a semi-liquid form. The shards
passed through him harmlessly, evaporating with a hiss as they struck his watery form.
Moonveil's eyes widened. "He dodged—without dodging...?"
Wei reformed behind the crumbled remains, completely untouched. His blade hummed
with blue energy, droplets of water floating and spinning in the air around it.
"Nice try," Wei said, his tone turning cold. "Now let me show you something real."
With lightning speed, he dashed forward, slashing diagonally. Moonveil barely managed
to bring up a wall of rock—but Wei's blade cut through it like butter, the wall dissolving
on contact.
Moonveil jumped back, breathing heavier now. His rocky armor cracked slightly at the
shoulder.
From the balcony, General Sylvaris scowled. "He's adapting… too fast."
Princess Jewel couldn't take her eyes off the battle, her fingers trembling slightly as she
clutched the edge of her seat. "That guy… just what kind of power does he have?"
Down in the arena, Wei stepped into a low stance, water spiraling up around his sword.
His voice dropped to a whisper, laced with calm fury.
"Let's end the warm-up.
Moonveil's cracked shoulder twitched. His calm demeanor now replaced by simmering
rage.
"Enough of this nonsense!" he roared, his voice echoing like thunder across the arena.
He slammed his fists together, the ground trembling beneath him. Massive stone armor
began to coat his entire body, layer by layer, transforming him into a towering golem-like
form. His white cloak tore apart, revealing his fully-armored, rock-enforced
body—towering now at nearly 9 feet tall.
The crowd gasped.
From the royal balcony, King Elarion stood up slowly. "He's activating his Titan Form…"
General Sylvaris clenched his jaw. "That means he's finally taking it seriously."
Wei tilted his head, smirking. "Oh? Someone got tired of getting melted."
The ground beneath Moonveil's feet cracked as he charged forward, his now colossal
fist glowing with seismic energy.
BOOM!
Moonveil swung with all his force, a punch meant to turn mountains to rubble. The
shockwave alone shattered nearby stone pillars.
Wei raised his blade just in time—but the impact launched him backward across the
arena, crashing into the arena wall with a deafening crash.
Dust filled the air.
Princess Jewel let out a gasp, covering her mouth. "Oh my!"
Moonveil's voice boomed through the settling debris. "No more games, hybrid. You want
power? Let's see if yours can match mine!"
But even as the dust lingered, a low chuckle echoed from within.
Wei stepped out from the rubble, bruised—but grinning like a madman, water trailing off
his skin like armor.
"That actually tickled," he said, cracking his neck. "Your Titan Form's strong. But I've got
something worse.
Wei took a slow step forward, then another. The crowd fell silent, all eyes on the hybrid
who had just shrugged off a Titan's blow.
Steam hissed from his body. The blue aura around him intensified, swirling violently like
a storm brewing beneath his skin.
He raised his sword and stabbed it into the ground.
"Time to stop holding back," Wei said, his voice deeper, layered with a strange echo.
"Let's see what this power really does…"
The air shifted.
Suddenly, the temperature dropped. A strange ripple pulsed out from Wei's body,
distorting the space around him.
Water coalesced at his feet, then surged upward, engulfing him like a cocoon. The
swirling water shimmered with deep oceanic energy, glowing veins of blue light twisting
through the current.
The crowd gasped as the screen above the arena flashed:
⚔️ Special Ability Unlocked: Abyss Form
State: Semi-Elemental Transformation
Effects:
● Physical body becomes partially liquid
● All incoming non-magical physical attacks are nullified
● Offensive water-based attacks gain +50% damage
● Speed increased
● New Skill: Abyssal Torrent unlocked
The cocoon burst apart in a violent splash—and from it, Wei emerged, changed.
His hair was longer and flowing like water. His eyes now glowed a deep, ocean blue.
Parts of his body were translucent, rippling like liquid glass. His sword had morphed as
well—now a sleek, curved blade forged entirely of glowing blue energy, pulsing like it
held the pressure of the sea.
Princess Jewel stood, stunned. "He's… something else entirely."
King Elarion's eyes widened. "No human or elf should have access to that form…
unless…"
Wei raised his transformed blade toward Moonveil.
"You wanted a fight?" he growled. "Then drown in it!"
He vanished.
In an instant, Wei reappeared right in front of Moonveil—like water skipping across the
surface—bringing his blade down in a spiraling crash.
"Abyssal Torrent!"
A colossal wave of water surged forward with the slash, wrapped in spiraling blades of
pressurized current, aiming to engulf and obliterate Moonveil.
Moonveil's instincts kicked in the moment Wei vanished.
His eyes widened as a flash of movement appeared before him—Wei's blade
descending, trailed by a monstrous, spiraling torrent of water. The roar of the surge
echoed like thunder through the arena.
"Telekinesis—FULL DEFENSE!" Moonveil bellowed, slamming both palms together.
BOOM!
In a heartbeat, a dome of jagged stone erupted from the ground around him, layered
with glowing runes, reinforced by sheer mental force. The dome pulsed with telekinetic
energy, humming under pressure like it was alive. Giant slabs of rock hovered in the air
around the dome, spinning like satellites as Moonveil focused everything into
maintaining control.
The moment Wei's Abyssal Torrent slammed into the barrier, the impact was
catastrophic.
CRRRRRAAASSSHH!!
The crowd screamed as a geyser of steam exploded upward. Water surged in all
directions, flooding part of the arena. The shockwave cracked pillars and sent several
spectators stumbling back. A section of the outer arena wall crumbled from the force.
Inside the dome, Moonveil grit his teeth, sweat pouring down his stone-lined face. He
was straining, every nerve and fiber of will focused on maintaining the barrier.
"This power… it's beyond hybrid. It's something else entirely…"
The stone dome cracked.
A long fissure split down the middle.
Wei's silhouette appeared through the steam—still calm, walking.
"Is that it?" Wei called out, voice cold and mocking. "I thought you'd be more fun, stone-man."
With one final pulse, the water broke through the cracked dome—flooding it with
crushing pressure.
BOOOOOM!!
Stone fragments blasted into the air like shrapnel. Moonveil was hurled backward,
slamming into the arena wall with a sickening thud that echoed through the coliseum.
His body slid down the stone, leaving a deep gash in the wall behind him.
He groaned, coughing up a bit of blood, one knee dropping to the ground as he tried to
catch his breath.
Wei stood tall, his transformed body still glowing, blade dripping with energy.
"Now," Wei said with a grin, "who's next?"
Suddenly, the glow around Wei flickered—then vanished.
WHOOSH!
His aura collapsed inward, the swirling abyssal energy dissolving into thin air like
evaporating mist. The dark tendrils faded, the monstrous water-enhanced form
receding. Within seconds, Wei stood in his original form once again—still grinning, but
visibly breathing heavier.
His knees bent slightly as the weight of fatigue caught up with him.
"Ugh…" he muttered, clutching his side briefly. "Damn… didn't think that form would eat
up so much mana..."
The transformation had pushed him to the limit. His clothes were soaked as he tried to
catch his breath. The arena, meanwhile, was still flooded in places, and smoke
continued to rise from shattered stone.
Moonveil, his breathing ragged and shallow, tried to rise—but his strength failed him.
The injuries, the mana exhaustion, the relentless pressure from Wei's abyssal form had
pushed him far past his limit.
His arms trembled… then gave out.
THUD.
The arena fell silent for a heartbeat as the massive figure collapsed, face-first, into the
stone floor. Dust rose gently around his body. His glowing aura flickered once… then
vanished completely.
Moonveil was down.
The crowd erupted.
Some gasped in disbelief, others roared in awe at the impossible victory. Nobles stood
from their seats, hands over their mouths. Soldiers muttered among themselves,
stunned by what they'd just witnessed.
On the royal balcony, Princess Jewel covered her mouth with both hands, eyes wide.
"He… defeated General Moonveil…"
King Elarion's eyes narrowed with new interest, a mix of surprise and intrigue in his
gaze. "Remarkable."
Down below, Wei stood tall—swaying slightly, still catching his breath—but victorious.
Wei used his mana pearl to restore his mana points, then a screen appeared in front of
him.
