Waiting,
The morning was soon and the dawn was showing its valor.
The peaks of scarlet hues radiated their bountiful shades.
It was nice.
Cladded in a worn set of garments, his coat was a faded leather, dull metallic armor coated a slight portion of his four appendages.
A set of black military combat boots nestled on his feet.
The person's face was not shown.
He crowned a weathered black mask sheltering his identity.
Within his many pockets were a dagger, a small metallic booklet, and a powerful firearm
Slung over a shoulder lazily was a bag narrow in width but long in length.
Cased within the bag's contents was a technologically adaptable trident that looked equally as dull as the rest of the person's attire.
The person was, of course, Alex.
'A week had pressed since my plea with Evelyn,'
During the seven-day intervention, Alexander had arranged several affairs while continuing his training & studies before departure.
War within the human Empires differed significantly from our modern contemporary forms and tactics.
Warfare within the human domain was similar to that of seventeenth-century Europe, more specifically the Pike and shot.
Of course, compared to our ancestor's primitive tactics the Polemain empire and the majority of other variant human empires alike used far more superior tactics.
Yet, they still used such methods?
Well because it was simply the most effective.
Several moments after Alex's ask, Evelyn in a softened state heeded the request where she ordered the request of a scape-identity and the commissioning of a new dar-ring containing orders for the H-rank battlefields. The entirety of this strenuous process literally took less than 4 seconds.
Observing the dull gray dar-ring encased around my middle finger, and since I'm waiting for the transport's arrival I decide to fiddle with the small interface projected from the ring.
Skimming over the small details plastered Alex observed the information he had already known.
Battle zones were ranked according to their letter, A - B - C - D - E - F - G - H - I.
With the zenith of these battle zones being the S-ranked ones, only the monsters kept hidden by empires ever dared to enter such grounds.
Alex's current attire was similar to that of the majority of the warriors within the H-rank battle zones.
Sheltering his identity was essential to prevent future nuance after his two years if, of course, he were to survive.
The bridge was still silent with the soothing tune of background noise echoing within the distance.
It was calming.
Yet, soon this type of serine environment was going to become nothing more foreign concept.
Mentally Alex had prepared himself.
Though being sent to the ranked battle zones was his own decision, Alex couldn't help but fear the chance of death.
Killing?
Such an act of malice was frowned upon on earth, murder was regarded as one of the most sinister of sins.
Taking the life of another, but Alex chose this.
Change was a necessity,
Staying still with his current mentality wouldn't make him any different than he was in his past life.
Complacency and mundane routine would come.
Fear of predictability was an even greater threat to Alex than murder.
"I mustn't fear death, I… must learn death and make peace with it."
"I must remain still with conviction, but…" Alexander spoke with a tone laced with fear
"How can I kill someone?"
"Do I think I can play god?"
"What have I become, when did these types of thoughts ever become prevalent within my mind?."
Clench…!
Gritting my teeth I began to feel guilt well up within me.
Why?
If I don't learn to kill then I will die!
The fucking monsters in this world have no morals!
We must become stronger to break free from the shackles of boredom!
Empty… such an empty feeling.
While Alex began to contemplate his decision, regret began to present its ugly face.
As this happened a black cubical vehicle hovered over the bridge.
Lowering its elevation from the sky the black cubi vehicle connected with the ground in front of Alexander.
Manifesting an entrance, a portion of the black vehicle's exterior dissipated.
Several seconds passed,
"Enter damn it!" yelled a haggard voice in annoyance.
Exiting from my haze, I gave a nod in acknowledgment before entering the black cube.
Casting a scrutinizing towards the young man, the diver spoke.
"Your del-Ring," said the driver.
Pressing a slim red button on the bus's counsel, a small compartment near the vehicle's entrance releveled.
Understanding the man's intention, I set my ring on the compartment's base.
With the ring now within the device, the compartment closed.
Scanning the del-ring,
The diver now faced with the information, began to lazily skim over the documents presented by a silver panel.
"You, Rel?"
"That would be correct," Alexander replied in a stiff tone.
"You're going to the H-rank zone, huh," the man said in an annoyed tone.
"Tch"
"This is going to take a few hours to fly to," the man said with a sigh.
"Find an empty seat" The driver lastly said before dismissing Alex.
Retrieving my Del-Ring from the compartment, I heeded the diver and searched for a vacant seat.
'Damn there's a lot of people .' Alex mused.
Most of the seats were occupied by a surplus of other passengers, whom all of which were headed to their designated battle zones.
Some faces etched dread, others showed neutrality, while a few odd ones strangely held eagerness while nonchalantly conversing with others.
Soon such excitement would be rectified with time.
Finding a vacant seat near the bus's rear I took my seat.
Resting my head against the bus's interior I slowly began to fall into slumber to pass the time.
The driver did comment that it was going to take several hours.
'...'
;My current persona of Alex will die.. for now, and I shall make Rel myself for the next two years,'
'I wonder...' Alexander lastly said before falling asleep.
