Chapter 37 - Book of Two-Magic Synchronization

Aiden glanced to the side with a sharp gaze, Allana surely knew what Aiden's capacity was.

Allana stepped forward, asking the man who protected her to stop threatening Aiden. She turned her attention to the front, staring sternly at Aiden.

"I'll help you," Allana said, startling the man behind her.

"Allana? What are you doing?" the man asked.

"It's better to listen to his words than fight to the death. Fighting outside the arena is against the rules, let alone killing him," Allana explained, acting wise.

"There's no one here except us, no one knows about—"

"You never know how powerful the academy elders' tracking magic is. So, you'd better not underestimate those rules," Allana interrupted.

Aiden could breathe a sigh of relief, at least an unnecessary fight hadn't happened. He could talk to Allana safely without any threats.

"I'm glad you chose talking over fighting physically," Aiden explained.

"Say it quickly, Aiden!"

"I want the book about the two magic synchronizations and the top of Fire Fountain Hill," Aiden replied.

Allana responded with a squint. Through her eyes, it was clear Aiden was still at the First Apprentice stage, not yet having the ability to perform beast taming or summon spirits.

The book on two-magic synchronization would be useless to Aiden because of his stage of magic, even so there was no doubt on Aiden's face when the young man asked so.

"What are you trying to learn that book for? It's completely useless with your current abilities," Allana explained.

"You don't need to know about what I'm going to do with that information. You just need to get it for me," Aiden retorted.

Allana paused, then responded by clearing her throat softly. She said that she could get the book tomorrow when she visited the academy library, but she said that she did not need another book to explain about Fire Fountain Hilltop.

"Fire Fountain Hilltop is a suitable place to perform skill improvement. There, the magic energy is abundant but rough," Allana replied.

"That place is usually visited by some Iris class students who have advanced abilities and all the main students of the academy. But, it is forbidden for Silk class students because of their fragile physical and magical endurance," Allana explained.

"What would happen to a Silk class student if they forced themselves to meditate there?" asked Aiden.

"Your body will warm up, your skin will turn red, and the heat will damage your brain cells. At worst, your body will blister and die in ashes," Allana replied.

"However, if you relate it to the two magic synchronizations, that place becomes one of the suitable places to increase the synchronization speed, provided one of the parties has the dominant element of fire," Allana pointed out.

Aiden had the dominant element of fire, while Aurora had the element of ice. According to the explanation, one of the two parties must have a fire-dominant element. That indicated that the two magic synchronizations would work if Aiden did it there.

"I don't know what you're up to, but just forget about that ambition of yours if you want to increase your power quickly from the top of Fire Fountain hill," Allana said.

"Even my friend doesn't dare to meditate there, when the dominant element is fire," Allana explained, pointing to the man behind her.

The threat was real, Allana didn't seem to be lying, there was something dangerous and life-threatening at the top of the hill.

However, Aiden was undaunted. Thanks to his 100% regen ability, he would not die, but would probably suffer hundreds of times until the synchronization was complete.

"You don't have to worry about that. You can just bring me the book," Aiden replied.

"I'll still help you if you don't tell anyone about our bet. Consider me an old mentor who still wants to help you," Allana said, asking for other conditions and Aiden agreeing.

Allana was not a slave to Aiden, there was no right for Aiden to ask Allana to do anything outside of magic. Aiden also respected Allana as his mentor back then, even though she hadn't helped him at all.

"I will still respect you as my former mentor, but I will still need your help in the future," Aiden explained, Allana nodding with a cold face.

Their conversation was over. Allana and the man left the training ground, leaving Aiden alone to watch Allana's return to her dormitory.

'Danger is stalking me at the top of Fire Fountain hill. However, this is the only way I can complete the two magic synchronizations quickly,' Aiden said.

'I should prepare myself better before doing that,' Aiden replied.

He strode down Oak Hill and returned to Fire Fountain Hill before six in the evening. Aiden made it before sunset, and the guards thanked him for getting home before nightfall.

Helen saw Aiden coming. She rushed out of the dorm room and walked up to Aiden.

"Where did you go earlier?" Helen asked.

Aiden smiled as Helen walked up to her, "I went to the academy library to study."

"Really? What did you learn there?" asked Helen.

The young man in front of Helen smiled, not knowing what to say since he hadn't learned anything upon arriving at the academy library.

"I didn't learn anything."

The next day.

Group 7's training ground.

Aiden, Stella, and Caleb started their first training as a group. Kanna came and trained them, their first lesson was to control natural energy and channel it into their bodies.

Not only that, Kanna also taught them how to use natural energy as magic power. Aiden had already learned about controlling natural energy, but he hadn't fully mastered it yet.

"Magic is divided into two types, manifestation magic and manipulation magic," Kanna explained.

She pointed her hand forward, releasing a ball of water magic that hit the wooden practice doll instantly. The doll shattered at once and returned to its original form with a certain magic.

"That is manifestation magic, magic that is widely used by us. When the magic spell says water ball, it is created," Kanna replied.

"While manipulation magic is a type of magic controlled by the mind. Once the mind and heart become one with the elemental soul, then you can mold your elemental magic into the shape you want," Kanna explained, demonstrating to them.

From her hand, a condensed water spear was created as a result of manipulating the water element. Stella and Caleb gasped and were amazed, they had only learned manifestation magic at the beginning, not the manipulation stage.

"In general, manifestation magic forms are common, such as spheres, crescents, waves, and so on. However, manipulation magic forms become more specific, such as spears, swords, arrows, shields, and so on," Kanna replied.

"For now, you just need to practice your manifestation magic skills," Kanna said, the three of them nodding.

Kanna called Caleb and asked the young man to release his magic. He managed to manifest it with his wind element, Stella did the same with her water element.

"Now, it's your turn, Aiden."

Aiden nodded. He stood next to Kanna. The woman asked Aiden to unleash the kind of manifestation magic he could towards the wooden practice doll.

[Magic Element: Fire Ball]

The young man reached out and unleashed his fireball attack forward, destroying the wooden practice dummy that was still burning.

"That's good. You three seem to be starting to understand manifestation magic," Kanna replied.

"You will receive a tome of level 1 magic spells according to your dominant element. Learn all the spells in one week, next week I will test your skills," Kanna explained.

After the demonstration, the training was over. Kanna asked them to return to their dormitory to rest and relax.

When Aiden was about to return to his dormitory, his steps were halted when Allana arrived. She was the only Iris class student in the place. Aiden smiled to greet Allana.

"Did you bring it?" Aiden asked.

Allana took the book out of her magic pouch, handing it directly to Aiden. Aiden accepted the book and read it, it read Synchronization of two magic and beast taming.

"The duration of the book loan is one week. You must return it to me before next week," Allana replied.

"Of course. You don't have to worry, Allana."

"I will learn it tonight."
