Chapter 31 - Chapter 31: The Oracle Who Saw Me Burn

The sky was still cracked from Lucius's declaration. No divine retribution came. Not yet.

But something did stir—

Hope.

Because across the land, in shadows, ruins, and forgotten altars, the name Sovarion wasn't cursed anymore.

It was whispered.

And one voice whispered louder than all the others:

A woman who once saw the end of all things…and chose to go blind rather than tell the truth.

[Quest Unlocked: Find the Forgotten Oracle]Name: Salavine, The One Who Shut Her EyesStatus: Banished by the Pantheon for refusing to speak Sovarion's deathLast Seen: The Weeping Glacier – No living soul can survive it long.

Lucius walked across frost with fire in his chest.

Zara stomped beside him, steam rising from her breath. "Tell me again why we're marching into a death mountain?"

"Because she saw me fall," Lucius said, "and refused to believe it."

Velda walked backward in front of him. "Romantic. Dangerous. I'm in."

Claire shivered. "It's freezing."

Lilith wrapped her wings around her. "I'll keep you warm."

Claire turned bright red.

They reached the glacier's edge.

A shrine stood buried in ice—no doors, no windows. But Lucius walked right through it.The wall shimmered and let him pass like the world remembered him.

The others followed—except Zara, who punched the ice first "just in case."

Inside: nothing but silence.

And then—

A voice.

Low. Hollow. Familiar.

"You've returned."

A figure sat in the dark, back to the party.Hair long and silver.Eyes covered with black silk.

She did not turn.

But she knew him.

"You walked into fire and didn't scream," she said. "I knew it then."

Lucius stepped forward.

"Salavine."

She finally turned. And smiled like a ghost that never left the battlefield.

"I remember you. Even when they told me to forget."

[Salavine the Oracle – Bond Initiated]Status: Blind by choice.Trait: Visionless Prophecy – She sees only truth that others hide from themselves.Affinity: Deeply loyal to the man she once dreamed would destroy everything to save just one soul.

Salavine stood and placed a hand on Lucius's chest.

"I've waited centuries," she whispered. "Tell me—do you still remember her name?"

Lucius paused.

His jaw clenched.

"…No."

Salavine didn't flinch.

"Then I will help you find it."

Outside the shrine, the winds howled.

But inside?

She pulled out a single blade.

Wrapped in crimson cloth.

"A god once told me this weapon would kill you," she said.

Lucius took it slowly.

"Now it's yours."

[Item Obtained: Blade of the Last Name]Effect: Reacts only to the memory of the First Bond.Passive: Its damage scales with the clarity of her name in Lucius's soul.

Velda blinked. "That's poetic and terrifying."

Zara smirked. "So... when do we stab someone with it?"

Claire: "Are we not going to talk about how she just joined us?"

Lilith stared at the blade. "It's warm."

Lucius nodded.

"She remembers. And now she's walking with us."

He turned to Salavine.

"You're not afraid of the war?"

Her smile cut through the frost.

"I saw the end of heaven, Lucius. And I was smiling beside you."
