Chapter 10 - Chapter 10:Shifting Stars

Garon, who had taken in this scene, looked enlightened.

He carefully gazed at the few dragonets, able to sense a distinct aura emanating from them, the aura of apex predators in this world – Dragon Might.

In the Dragon Inheritance, the more accurate term was Ferocious Aura.

Adult dragons, relying on their Dragon Might, could, with a single thought, render many creatures within their territory immobile, their minds overwhelmed.

When fighting opponents of the same level, Dragon Might could also exert a certain pressure on the opponent's spirit, making it a powerful supernatural ability.

Supernatural abilities, on the other hand, were abilities that were not affected by spell resistance and were difficult to counter and dispel with spells. The dragon's breath, including Garon's newly acquired Time Manipulation ability, belonged to the category of supernatural abilities.

"Dragonets also have Dragon Might, but they can't control it freely, nor is it strong enough to immobilize prey; instead, it startles them."

After returning to the dragon nest, the White Dragon Mother was still fast asleep on the huge ice crystal bed, seemingly never going to wake up.

Garon found a place to lie down, closing his eyes to rest while slowly sensing his own aura.

He could catch prey because of the acceleration of Time Manipulation, forcefully catching opponents with a huge difference in speed. His Dragon Might, like that of the three little dragons, was also unconsciously emitted automatically.

This was not a good thing.

Especially when weak, uncontrollable Dragon Might would become a marker, allowing enemies to find the dragonet's location by following the Dragon Might.

The first lesson for dragonets was to learn to control their ferocious aura, to learn to control Dragon Might.

It wasn't just Garon.

Hill, Charles, and Tom, like Garon, were all working on controlling their Dragon Might, preventing it from leaking out casually.

The difference was that after realizing the need to control Dragon Might, it only took Garon half an hour to be able to control it freely.

This talent was one of the benefits brought by the Time Dragon's physique.

In the Dragon Inheritance's introduction to Time Dragons, there was a sentence: Any knowledge, skills, and languages are the inherent skills of a Time Dragon.

This meant that any skill that could be mastered through acquired learning was readily available to Time Dragons, easily grasped. For example, when borrowing the White Dragon Mother's magic gemstone, he had easily learned the subtle manipulation of magic power.

Because trying Time Manipulation had consumed a lot of mental energy, and after also understanding how to control Dragon Might, Garon closed his eyes and went to sleep.

This kind of sleep was only to quickly restore his mental state, not the dragon slumber that could promote body evolution and acquire new abilities. Dragon slumber required enough time accumulation and energy reserves; it wasn't something one could just enter at will.

Garon was awakened not long after falling asleep.

He turned his head and saw the beautiful and massive White Dragon Mother stretching her dragon wings. Her pale yellow dragon eyes were filled with satisfaction from sleeping comfortably enough, but this hint of satisfaction vanished instantly after seeing the few dragonets.

It seems the White Dragon Mother doesn't like dragonets, Garon thought.

Immediately afterwards, the White Dragon Mother left the dragon nest. After returning, she brought back a magical creature that had already been killed and frozen, a winter wolf. This snow-white giant wolf was almost a magical creature second only to dragons.

When the few dragonets' eyes lit up and they pounced on the food, they were stopped by the White Dragon Mother.

She used her sharp dragon claw nails to slice through the winter wolf's body, dividing it into four parts. The largest piece was pushed in front of Garon, and the three smaller pieces were given to Hill, Charles, and Tom respectively.

Garon blinked his eyes and began to devour his share without any politeness.

Winter wolves, as magical creatures, were not something dragonets at this stage could normally access. Only the White Dragon Mother could provide them. They were excellent food that could greatly promote the growth of dragonets, with their flesh containing rich energy.

If the White Dragon Mother hadn't clearly allocated the portions, he would have even wanted to snatch some from his younger siblings.

As for why the White Dragon Mother gave him the largest portion, Garon was very clear in his heart.

He was growing the fastest and was the strongest among this batch of dragonets. Evil dragons respected strength, and even their food supply for dragonets followed this principle.

The weak could only be ruthlessly eliminated.

The three little dragons all showed expressions of unwillingness, staring at Garon's food with obvious greed in their eyes. However, with the White Dragon Mother present, and having already suffered greatly at Garon's hands, they didn't dare to try and snatch it at all.

After giving the dragonets food once, the White Dragon Mother went back to sleep.

It was unknown how wonderful her dreams were that could keep her so engrossed.

And Garon, after finishing his food and resting briefly until his spirit was full and his stamina was abundant, flew out of the dragon nest to hunt alone.

In order to grow quickly, he needed a large amount of food, the more the better. If the White Dragon Mother didn't provide enough, he could only go and catch it himself. Fortunately, there weren't any powerful magical creatures near the ice cliff dragon nest, which lessened his worries.

Moreover, having been chosen by the White Dragon Mother as her territory, the prey resources here were indeed relatively abundant.

Seeing Garon leave the dragon nest to hunt, the three little dragons quickly made the same choice.

Relying on his physique stronger than ordinary dragonets and the acceleration ability of Time Manipulation, Garon returned fully loaded with prey every time he hunted. Only when his spirit and stamina were somewhat exhausted would he choose to return to the dragon nest to rest for a while.

After his condition recovered, he would start a new round of hunting.

Under the polar day, time slowly passed in this way.

While hunting, Garon was still trying to explore other Time Dragon abilities, but perhaps because he was still too young, he hadn't gained anything. However, some combat skills slowly increased with the number of hunts.

As for the three little dragons... most of the time they returned in a disheveled and unsuccessful state.

But as dragons, even the weakest white dragons among the five-colored evil dragons were not ordinary magical creatures. After the three little dragons gradually learned to control their Dragon Might and learned to ambush from underwater and under ice over several weeks, they also had their own gains and were no longer so hungry.

And the White Dragon Mother, adhering to her irresponsible attitude, only hunted a magical creature for the dragonets once a week.

Every time this happened, it was also the happiest time for the dragonets.

The flesh and blood of magical creatures were the best food for dragonets, containing many times more energy and various nutrients than ordinary beasts.

Garon was invariably favored, receiving the largest share each time, making the three little dragons envious and resentful, yet helpless.

Life afterwards became very regular.

There was nothing particularly interesting, but it was safe and stable.

Hunting, exploring abilities, waiting for the dragon mother to feed them, beating up the dragon brothers and sister [these guys didn't learn their lesson and would always involuntarily provoke Garon every once in a while], slumbering...

Time flew by like a white horse galloping past a crack. These simple yet fulfilling days quickly passed.

The sun rose and set, the stars shifted, and the constellations moved.

After experiencing one polar night and one polar day, when the entire extreme northern ice field was shrouded in darkness, a white behemoth six meters long with an eight-meter wingspan leaped out of the ice cliff dragon nest, soaring freely in the howling cold wind.
