Responding to Brian's actions Peter threw Samantha to Brian. He then quickly put his arms out to catch her. As he did, Peter jumped towards Brian with his legs extended for a kick.
Brian ducked as he thought the kick was aimed at him, but Peter went right over his head and knocked out the two armed men behind him.
"Good job ducking, we got to keep moving." Peter said as he started running out of the nearest door. Brian ran out behind him while still carrying Samantha.
After running down a couple blocks down, Peter ducked into a nearby abandoned building and hid in the back. The other's followed him and as they stopped Brian finally put Samantha down.
"You need to tell us what's going on right now!!!" Brian shouted.
"Shh! Shut up!" Peter replied. "We lost them for now but we gotta keep moving. I can explain later, but we don't have time right now."
"No! You are going to explain yourself right now. We aren't going anywhere until you tell us what's going on, and how you're related to that Chinese spy." Brian said as he pointed his rifle at him.
"Huh? A spy? I don't really know about all that. But she's probably a bigger problem than any spy anyway." Peter responded.
"But, we got word from an informant that a Chinese spy was supposed to be at that restaurant. That's why we were staking it out. You can't expect me to believe that the two things have no connection at all." Brian said.
"I see. That means you idiots led her right to me. I'd bet she used her connections to give you guys a fake tip about a spy just so she could use you guys to confirm my location." Peter said while deep in thought. "That being said, she probably wasn't that far off from finding me soon anyway."
"W-What? But if the person chasing after you isn't a spy then who is she?" Brian asked with a look of confusion on his face.
"And what exactly is she to you?" Samantha asked.
Just as Peter was about to respond, a woman broke down the door to the room they were in and began fighting with Peter. They had a furious exchange of blows, but Peter managed to parry all of her blows.
"Impressive as always, Peter." The woman said as they disengaged from their exchange. The woman was extremely beautiful, she had brown hair tied up into two buns and wore a white Chinese style dress.
"Who are you?" Samantha asked.
"Me? I'm Peter's fiancee of course." She responded. "My name is Teng Mae."
"I'm not your fiancee." Peter snapped back quickly.
"This again? Peter you made a deal with my father. You have to keep your word." Mae said.
"I've told you. That was just a misunderstanding." Peter replied, but this seemed to fall on deaf ears as she didn't seem interested in hearing anything other than what she wanted to hear.
"Your fiancée? So this is just some kind of lover's spat?" Brian asked.
"No" Peter said
"Yes" Mae said in unison.
"Eh, what a waste of time. I guess we should get out of here." Brian said to Samantha.
"Wait." Samantha said. "What about what happened in the restaurant? You could have killed Peter, not to mention dozens of innocent people!"
"My men are well trained enough to avoid any unnecessary civilian casualties. As for Peter, if he couldn't avoid attacks of that level he wouldn't be worthy of being my fiancée ." She said. "Plus I have to admit that I got jealous when I saw a bimbo like you hanging around him. You haven't seriously beeen avoiding me just so you could hook up with an old hag like her have you?"
"What? No, of course not. She's too old, and totally not my type. I have absolutely no attraction to her at all." Peter responded.
"I dont know how I feel about that." Samantha's boyfriend Brian said.
"I'm not THAT much older than you." Samantha added.
"Then what are you doing with her?" Mae asked.
"She just a coworker." Peter said through a sigh.
"Well, either way, I'm not leaving until you agree to come back to China with me." Mae insisted. Just then she got a phone call that changed her attitude.
