Chapter: 18, Next Steps
A few hours later…
Inside the main Castle, People were surrounding the throne as if in a meeting.
A person in white was sitting in the Throne of the Dark City, with two smaller seats each having one person sitting on them.
They were none other than the Bright Lord Gunlaug, his slave Harus and the leader of the handmaiden and the daughter of the Song clan, Song Seishan.
All of them were currently discussing the sudden increased strength in the nightmare creatures. Sudden increase their strength has become a crisis. Currently, even the nightmare creature that could be hunted before are impossible to defeat.
Just a few hours were enough to cause more causality than the previous five years. Every dormant nightmare creatures are now awakened and every awakened nightmare creatures have become fallen.
The dreamers in the Dark City are all being suppressed by the increasing number of nightmare creatures, placing them in a difficult position.
They were currently discussing how to defend the city against them.
Right in the middle of the meeting, a loud crashing sound rang out and the ceiling of the Throne Room crashed, with a figure falling among the broken debris. That figure in black knelt down in the middle of the fallen debris not to avoid serious injury but to look graceful and cool.
The person in black calmly stood up and opening his cloak with his left hand, he looked directly at the three people sitting in the middle. With a thought he summoned a chair memory and sat on it with ease. He spoke addressing everyone in the room with his deep voice
"Since you guys are discussing it, I will give you a heads up on what is happening with those nightmare creatures…"
A guard suddenly interrupted him, his voice laced with anger as he questioned him "Who are you! And how dare you interrupt such an important meeting! Who are you to Act so Arrog-"
A red figure wearing a dark robe manifested behind that guard and with a single swing of its cane, it smashed the guards head. The blow was so strong that even his skull was smashed to pieces and splattered, still stuck with the brain matters and the flesh.
The scene was gruesome to the point everyone, men or women all had shiver run down their spines. No one dared to move even an inch.
Seeing everyone being silent, Jin finally said with a sigh "Why do you need to make it so difficult? I am here to inform you of the current situation and to give you guys a golden opportunity of serving us until I send all of you back to the Waking world."
Seishan, after hearing his words, wanted to shout aloud but seeing the red figure standing behind him suppressed her voice "Do you mean that you've found another Citadel much easier to conquer than the Crimson Spire?"
With her words, everyone in the throne room got excited and murmurs filled the entire room.
"W-We can finally go back. I can finally meet my family."
"If this is true we can finally leave this hell of a place"
"Mom, You baby is finally coming back home~ hnnsh" a guy said almost on the verge of tears.
Seishan then added looking happy and placing her hand on her chest "If you are willing to share its location, we are willing to cooperate with you on conquering it."
Jin looked at their happy faces which he expected, but they were happy for the wrong thing, which somehow was within his expectation. And what did this bitch mean by cooperating with him? If Jin wanted he could've conquered the Crimson spire all by himself, why would he need their help?
He slapped his forehead and with a sigh said, destroying their hope "Are you stupid or something? The crimson spire is the only Citadel in the Entire Forgotten Shore. Even the closest Citadel I would know of is either in the Hollow Mountains or in the Nightmare Dessert.
"Even the weakest of those guardians was a Corrupted Tyrant and now that creature might already be a Great Tyrant. Do you people think that you, who couldn't defeat a mere Fallen Terror in 15 years, can defeat a Great Tyrant? Ignore the fact that the Fallen Terror in the crimson spire might already be a Corrupted Terror."
Everyone went Silent, The reality of the situation crashing down on them like a meteorite on dinosaurs; of course Jin knows what a dinosaur is.
Seishan also realized the situation, but something was strange so she voiced her question "If even all of us together can't conquer the Citadels, how do you suggest sending us back to the waking world?"
Everyone stared at Jin sitting in the middle leisurely. If he was so calm, then there must be a second option' they all thought.
"Of course I can, we just need to defeat the Corrupted Terror and the gate to the waking world will open." He said, making everyone speechless.
"You already know that we are no match for the guardian—"
"Who said about 'we? If I wanted, I could've conquered the crimson spire all by myself. Why would I need help from some weaklings like you?"
Jin added in a serious look "It's just that the spire and the gate would collapse after its guardian is killed. The gate would remain for at most some hours. There won't be enough time to get all of you out if you don't come with me. And everyone who stays here will stay here forever."
Seishan looked at him in disbelief and asked "You are joking right? This is not a time for someone to just appear out of nowhere and joke about something this serious."
Jin didn't stop her and pointing at Tusk he introduced himself "I am Jinwoo, The first scion of the Eternal Divine Clan. The Shadow you are looking at right now is a transcendent titan, which is one of the many shadows I have. They are strong enough to assure victory."
With that, some more high orcs appeared aside from Tusk.
Jin looked at them with a smile, sure that this was enough, any more would be a waste.
