Chapter 8 - Individual Brilliance.

Twenty minutes into the game, FG have controlled most of the possession. Their passing has slowed down compared to the first five minutes of the match. The two central midfielders start moving more freely around the pitch, dictating where the ball should be played and passed.

KVA have maintained their positions well, but the slow pace of the game begins to bore the fans. Some pull out their phones, while others treat it as if it were halftime and distract themselves by talking to one another.

They fail to grasp that this is a tactical battle where even a small lapse in concentration could cost either team dearly. This mentality affects not only the audience but also Che, who grows increasingly annoyed by the prolonged, methodical style of play.

KVA have barely had a shot on target—or any shot at all—and the striker hasn't touched the ball yet. However, they don't look concerned or worried. Instead, they continue patiently passing the ball around, waiting for the perfect moment to break forward.

The ball rotates to the left-back, who attempts a pass to the central midfielder positioned on the left wing but plays it too slowly. Felix (RB) intercepts the ball unexpectedly and takes off down the wing. To bypass their left-back, Che opts to avoid the wing and moves into the open space in the middle of the pitch.

Che calls for the ball while scanning his surroundings to assess his options. He spots the defensive midfielder closing in on him. As their LB tries to shut down Felix, Felix passes the ball to Che.

'Man on!'

The DM approaches to within a foot on Che's left, but as the ball reaches Che's feet, he executes a drag-back turn in the direction the DM was coming from.

This leaves the DM searching for the ball in the opposite direction. Che accelerates into the open space, evaluating his options ahead—all of whom are marked by defenders. Choosing to go solo, Che carries the ball forward while Finn and Adrian make decoy runs to distract the opposition.

The fans begin to take notice, rising to their feet as excitement builds.

Both center-backs remain disciplined, refusing to fall for the decoy runs, and focus solely on Che as he charges toward them at full speed. As he nears the box, the left-sided center-back steps forward to intercept him. Finn, now in an onside position, occupies the space where the LB should be and signals for the ball.

Anticipating a pass to Finn, the LCB lunges for the tackle. However, Che uses a body feint to his right before cutting left, eluding the defender. He now faces the right-sided center-back, who stands between him and the goal, while Adrian remains onside but covered by the RB.

Che tricks the RCB into believing he'll shoot with his left foot, prompting the defender to extend his leg to block. He fakes the shot and transitions the ball to his right foot. The goalkeeper sees this and decides to close him down. As the keeper approaches, Che chips the ball delicately with his right foot, watching it arc gracefully over the keeper's head. Che begins his celebration before the ball crosses the line, and it lands in the back of the net.

The fans erupt in the stands, cheering and celebrating the remarkable goal.

"This kid—it's him again!"

The FG players are left stunned and confused. Their coach yells instructions, but the players gesture that they've done everything they could to stop him. Che celebrates, and his teammates rush to join him in jubilant celebration.

Score: KVA (1-0) FG 25th minute

Scorer: Che (assisted by Felix)
