With a sigh, Kenjaku moved with calculated leaps among the damp trees toward the battle that would be defined as the most epic in the Shinobi world.
"They really are in a league of their own, huh?" Kenjaku muttered as he increased his speed with each jump between the trees. "I must hurry if I wish to intercept Black Zetsu."
He had been present since the birth of Hagoromo and Hamura, close to Kaguya as her "servant." With all the knowledge of the manga at his disposal, he knew the canon story well and most of the important events.
Kenjaku knew that, while he hid in the shadows gathering more information about the world of Naruto — jutsus, fuinjutsu, and always-valuable intel — Black Zetsu was in this area watching the battle between Madara and Hashirama.
The thunderous sounds of combat echoed, and the tremors caused by the jutsus were present, as the landscape was being rewritten by the two gods of this era. Shortly after, he arrived at the place that would be known as the Valley of the End, cloaked in entirely black garments, watching as Madara and Hashirama were so focused on their fight that they wouldn't even notice him.
Looking around, he saw a black figure, almost hidden among the trees, also watching the battle, unaware of his presence. Why was Zetsu so important to him? Black Zetsu (黒ゼツ, Kuro-Zetsu) was the manifestation of Kaguya Ōtsutsuki's will, although he pretended to be the will of Madara Uchiha. He was the mastermind behind several important events that shaped Shinobi history. After helping Obito Uchiha meet Nagato, Zetsu became one of the most important members of Akatsuki, serving as the right hand of the organization's creator.
Black Zetsu's true form was a black mass that could change shape and had a mind of its own. It could take on a human form and "copy" the hair of the person it inhabited. The black mass contained two yellow eyes, which lacked any visible sclera or pupils. Black Zetsu seemed to retain only one eye after being placed inside White Zetsu by Madara, although he would regain the second eye after Kaguya's resurrection. Black Zetsu's eyes and awareness could move to any point of the black mass, even if it was split into multiple parts. He could cover the body of a living creature and control it, and his eyes could disappear completely unless the possessed body had a dōjutsu, in which case he would use it.
Now came the main reason why he did what he did and why he hunted Black Zetsu.
Kenny had a system like every other reincarnated person in a fictional world.
The system required him to become necessary to the story or else he would inevitably die.
The system was called the Story Points System.
A system that would grant him story points for every change he made in the plot and depending on how important he became within it.
With those story points, he could make further changes to the storyline in ways that benefited him and purchase new abilities.
Upon arriving in this world, Kenjaku—without the system—had no clear objective, only to stay alive and progress in the story by becoming important to the plot without exposing himself or turning into a villain. But the system noticed his actions and pushed him, with each mission, to get involved in the story. Sometimes, to move the story forward without Kenjaku interacting with any key characters, the system would assign him missions that made no sense at all.
There was even a time when the system asked him to infiltrate the Uchiha clan and kill Madara Uchiha's three brothers in front of him to force him to awaken the Sharingan and traumatize him.
The requirements were to take the body of a Senju and use one of Madara Uchiha's outings as an opportunity to kidnap his brothers and take them to a secluded area.
Once the Uchihas noticed their heirs were missing, they immediately went frantic searching for Madara's brothers.
Madara was the last to find out, as he had arrived late that day due to spending time with Hashirama. But despite being the last to be informed, he was the first to find Kenjaku.
The second requirement was to torture Madara's brothers in front of him after defeating and humiliating him.
From that point on, the Madara of the original story was even more unstable than he was supposed to be.
After that, an endless war broke out just the same, but Madara was far more bloodthirsty than he was ever meant to be.
......
Putting that aside.
However, he didn't know if it was because of the influence of Kenjaku's ritual or simply his own curiosity, but he became far too interested in the topic of the Ootsutsuki.
It was impossible for him to pursue that path, obviously, due to the era he was born in, the techniques he obtained, and on top of that, he wouldn't kill Naruto in the future. He wasn't a lolicon, and he also didn't want to risk taking a body with a damn Bijuu inside that could break free and tear him apart.
Nor would he take a weak body. He wanted a body with talent, and with those thoughts, he felt like Orochimaru—though he would never go as crazy as that man. Still, regarding him in general, he had to side with the smart ones, and Orochimaru, perverted or not, was a genius recognized by all.
And why not be good?
Because the system forced him to be evil due to the character he got in the roulette. He simply couldn't change it.
Snapping out of his thoughts, he saw Madara Uchiha and Hashirama shift into close combat, as both had depleted their chakra reserves. He knew he had to move soon or it would become impossible to track him.
The new mission the system had given him was:
[Become an ally of Black Zetsu.]
[Requirements.]
1 – Prevent Black Zetsu from escaping.
[Reward.]
500 Story Points and +1 Physical Power point.
[Penalty.]
User's death, complete destruction of the user's soul.
Suppressing his chakra as much as possible, knowing that Zetsu was a sensor, he prepared to jump. But first, he needed to create an action route: Jump, catch him, and place a chakra restriction seal. With this, he hoped to at least stop Zetsu and speak with him.
With a sigh, and taking advantage of the physical capabilities of the body he possessed, he launched himself toward Black Zetsu. With an almost blinding speed, he leapt at him. He saw how Black Zetsu turned just when he was mere millimeters away, surprised. His sharp mouth showed shock. When Zetsu was about to disappear underground, Kenjaku placed his hand on Zetsu's chest, effectively applying the Uzumaki chakra restriction seal and, in passing, a small genjutsu that kept the fighters at the Valley of the End from noticing him.
Completely vulnerable, Kenjaku grabbed Zetsu's neck and then let some chakra flow to create the Sound Barrier jutsu, which he developed from knowledge extracted from an Uzumaki—or rather, from a dead body that had been an expert in seals.
Kenjaku's cursed technique name remains unknown; however, it's known that his technique allows him to change bodies by replacing the brain, which also means he can use the cursed technique—or in this case, jutsus and abilities—tied to the body he possesses. He always uses the cursed energy of that body, which allows him to be invisible even to the Six Eyes of Gojo Satoru.
"Who are you…?" Black Zetsu exclaimed in an annoyed, cold voice. As much as he tried to process it, it wasn't normal for a human to know of his existence. In his eyes, he was invisible to the average human, and this mysterious man with that scar...
Scar... wait, this aura... the scar on his forehead... I remember it. This guy is… Kaguya-sama's servant… how is he alive? There's no doubt, this chakra is the same... Zetsu's mind was stuck in a loop. He remembered the sensation of this chakra, he knew from his mother's memories that this man served Kaguya and was one of the few humans, along with a girl, who protected her millennia ago. This man was one of the only humans Kaguya protected after absorbing the divine tree's fruit, as he was the brother of that girl. However, he had this scar on his forehead which, according to him, he got fighting "bad men" who tried to do things to his sister. Zetsu had always found the man's devotion to his mother strange, though he once tried to convince Kaguya to use her Byakugan powers on him. Kaguya didn't, claiming, "It's the only memory I have left of her." Another thing that plagued his mind was how this man knew about him, and on top of that, how was he so strong?
"How are you alive?" Zetsu muttered, remembering this human who should have been dead for millennia. The human in question simply smiled with confidence before speaking.
"I know you remember me, Zetsu. And to be honest, I didn't plan to do this with you, but I must tell you it's in our best interest to be united, because you and I seek the same thing: the resurrection of Kaguya-sama. You and I both know that Indra and Ashura, the descendants of Hagoromo, reincarnated into the Uchiha and Senju clans respectively. We both despise them as much as we do Hagoromo," Kenjaku explained with cold neutrality.
"How are you alive?" Zetsu asked again, finding it absurd what this man had just said. His alarms were flaring up more and more with each word that left the man's mouth. It was one thing for him to know about Kaguya and Hagoromo, but how could he possibly know about the reincarnation of that man's descendants?
"Let's just say I've used what I had at hand to survive. I've adapted to the environment and used what life has granted me," Kenjaku explained calmly, leaving Zetsu with even more questions. He was aware he wasn't answering all of Zetsu's doubts, but he wasn't willing to grant more knowledge than necessary to a potential enemy as intelligent as him.
Seeing that this man didn't plan on telling him more for now, Zetsu gave up on learning more at that moment. There were more important questions to ask now. "What do you want from me?" Zetsu asked before quickly throwing in another question. "And how do you know I want to bring Kaguya-sama back?"
With a smile, Kenjaku crafted an answer coherent enough for Zetsu. "I've been monitoring your actions over time—not for long, since there were moments when I lost track of you due to your elusive nature. However, knowing that you're part of Kaguya-sama, it was obvious you wanted to bring her back after her fall. I agree that the world should be ruled by her once again, like in the distant past. Human evil is simply too much, and I'm tired of so many innocent deaths. Sure, there will be many more deaths in the future—great powers at war and endless conflicts. But if we're all united under the rule of a divine being like Kaguya-sama, nurturing the world again through our being, that would be far better than constant war. Human evil is something that will never disappear. If you understand that, you know that no matter how hard we fight, peace is fleeting and false in a world like this. But if we all unite under a single hand, surely everything will be more peaceful, and only Kaguya-sama is the best option. I only look out for humanity and choose what's best for it."
Kenjaku tried to sound like an obsessive lunatic who only wanted to be absorbed by Kaguya. He didn't know if his speech would convince Zetsu, and he understood it was likely that he wouldn't believe him. However, the important thing was that he was in control of the situation. He knew Zetsu would go along with whatever he said, since he was the one with the advantage and could seal—or do something worse—to Zetsu if he didn't cooperate.
Zetsu, though skeptical, understood he was in a disadvantaged position. This man, Kenjaku, had power and knowledge that couldn't be underestimated. Despite his doubts, he had no other choice but to play along, at least for now.
"Are you really willing to annihilate the human race to bring her back?" Zetsu asked, his voice faltering as he began to doubt this character who seemed mentally unstable and clearly off his rocker.
"I'm willing to unite the human race once again to nourish the world, and the only one who can do that is Kaguya-sama," Kenny replied calmly.
If Zetsu's eyes could show anything, they'd reflect confusion, distrust, and surprise. He didn't know someone like this could even exist. However, he saw an opportunity. If he played his cards right, he could use this guy and his obsession to gain an ally and potentially increase his chances of bringing his mother back. Still, he knew he had to be careful with him. He clearly wasn't telling the truth, that much was obvious, but if Zetsu wanted to find out what that truth was, he'd have to monitor him. For now, he'd gather information and play the part of an ally. If what he said was true—that he'd been looking for Zetsu all this time—then he must have been alive all this time and had as much, if not more, knowledge about this world than Zetsu himself.
"I see," Zetsu said slowly, trying to process everything and form a plan. "If you truly want to bring Kaguya-sama back, then perhaps we can work together. But I'll need proof of your devotion and power. I can't risk working with someone who could be a threat to my cause."
Kenjaku smiled, knowing he'd already planted the seeds of doubt—and forced cooperation—into Zetsu. "Of course. I'm willing to prove my loyalty and power. Together, we'll be unstoppable."
"Alright. We'll join forces for now. But tell me—how do you plan on helping me? I already have a plan in motion that has taken me time to set up," said Black Zetsu, letting his curiosity overtake his earlier hesitation—but not abandoning it.
"For now… let's just observe," Kenjaku replied, releasing Zetsu and deactivating the genjutsu, the sound barrier, and finally the chakra suppression seal. Once the sound barrier dropped, he suppressed his chakra again to avoid drawing attention. Though Hashirama and Madara were worn out, he didn't want to engage anyone in their prime.
From the distance, he watched the exhausted figures of Hashirama Senju and Madara Uchiha clash again and again. Finally, with a swift maneuver, a clone of Hashirama seized Madara from behind—securing victory for the First Hokage.
(Flashback Begins)
Kenjaku's POV:
As I walked through the halls of Emperor Tenji's palace with a thoughtful expression, the growing murmurs outside caught my attention. The voices echoed with intensity, as if something—or someone—had disrupted the usual order. I stopped, sharpening my hearing, and observed from a distance.
A woman with delicate features and an unchanging expression had captured everyone's attention. Her hair wasn't as long as in certain depictions, just barely reaching her shoulders. She wore a long white kimono, decorated with elegant stripes, over a yellow robe that complemented her figure. Her eyes were a pure white, a clear sign of her possession of the Byakugan—a power both feared and revered. Her lips, painted crimson red, and her long, sharp nails completed her imposing presence.
"She's already here, isn't she?" I murmured to myself, crossing my arms as I leaned casually against the wall. I watched from behind the entrance, where Emperor Tenji, flanked by his guards, observed the scene with gravity.
'It's as if she were a goddess.' Kenjaku knew this to be true, but if he were a normal person seeing her for the first time, that's exactly what he would've said.
With an indifference bordering on disdain, Kaguya remained unfazed by the guard's interrogation. The man's shouts couldn't provoke more than a slow, controlled blink from her. It was evident that she wasn't intimidated in the slightest.
"You stand before Lord Tenji, King and Emperor of the Land of the Ancestors," proclaimed one of the men, with extravagant hair and matching clothes, bowing deeply to the monarch. Meanwhile, Kaguya maintained the same serene expression, untouched by the rising tension in the room.
The Land of the Ancestors (祖の国, So no Kuni) had been a small but significant nation a millennium ago. Ruled by Emperor Tenji, it was composed mainly of agricultural villages, surrounded by vast forests that offered both protection and sustenance to its people. At its heart, a large lake served as a vital source of resources, nourishing both the land and the villagers who depended on it back then.
"Interrogate her and make her speak," ordered one of the men flanking Tenji in a calm and serious tone as he stepped toward Kaguya, who remained kneeling before them, seemingly docile.
"Yes, sir," the guards responded in unison as they approached Kaguya. "The Land of Ka sent this woman to spy on us," one of them continued. But just as Tenji's men neared her, Kaguya opened her eyes, and with a single pulse of chakra emanating from them, she rendered unconscious the first ones who dared to get close.
Astonishment reigned in the room for a few seconds until the remaining guards fell, victims of her memory-altering powers.
Kenjaku raised his eyebrows, intrigued by Kaguya's display of power. In his mind, he considered the possibility that she had sensed him after neutralizing the guards, which forced him to withdraw immediately. He couldn't risk having his brain reset by that woman, losing the advantage he held over unfolding events.
As he walked away through the corridors of the complex with an unreadable expression, his mind worked feverishly on how to approach Kaguya without raising suspicion. However, before he could formulate a plan, a sharp and energetic voice abruptly pulled him out of his thoughts.
"BROTHER!" exclaimed a young girl as she threw herself onto him with a radiant smile, wrapping him in a suffocating but affectionate and warm hug.
At first, Kenjaku felt irritated by the interruption, but that sensation of warmth was something he wasn't used to. Without thinking too much about it, he returned the hug. 'I think I could get used to this,' he thought.
"Why so cheerful, hmm?" he asked in a soft and kind voice, looking at his sister, who was still smiling from ear to ear.
"Today I had my first successful hunt. I killed several rabbits," she said, puffing her chest with pride and innocence. Her hunting skills were so poor that even a newborn could outperform her, but her enthusiasm was contagious.
"Really?" Kenny replied, curious, as he patted her head several times. "I see, you're making progress, huh? You're no longer a little useless thing, now you're a bigger useless thing," he added with a playful smile.
His sister's response was quick. With a pout on her face and an annoyed look, she shot back, "Hey! I'm not useless."
Before he could reply, a sensation of danger ran through his body. Instinctively, he turned quickly, raising his hands in a high guard. His reflexes, sharpened by Kenjaku's technique, had him on full alert.
And rightly so. Behind them, Kaguya was watching them with an intense gaze. The guards she had knocked out earlier lay behind her, while Tenji, wearing a kind smile, stepped forward.
"Relax, Kenzou-san," said Tenji with a calm voice that carried a nervous but reassuring tone as some guards exchanged amused smiles.
"Oh, excuse me,… Tenji-sama," Kenny replied, relaxing his stance and speaking with a relieved and reverent tone. "I thought someone was behind me, and I wasn't wrong," he added with a light smile.
His sister, hiding behind him, glared at him before peeking out with curiosity upon noticing the silent woman behind Tenji. Always curious, she couldn't help but speak her mind. "Tenji-sama, sorry to bother you, but who is that girl?" she asked, pointing at Kaguya.
The woman before her was stunning. White hair, eyes almost the same color with a lavender hue, and skin as pale as snow. An unusual beauty not commonly seen in places like this.
"Oh, she's someone we found during one of our hunts. She was lost, so we brought her with us," Tenji replied calmly, though a subtle lie could be detected in his tone, skillfully masked thanks to his diplomatic finesse.
DING!
The system had appeared. It had taken its time, but it had finally arrived and delivered his first mission.
The red-colored screen glowed in front of him, invisible to others, its ethereal hue astonishing him.

Kenjaku's eyes sparkled for a moment before returning to normal. His gaze landed on the woman before him.
With a radiant smile, my sister stepped forward toward Kaguya and naturally extended her hand. "My name is…"
(Flashback ends)
POV of Kenjaku:
When Madara was defeated in the Valley of the End, my gaze settled on his fallen body. The scene was shrouded in a dark veil; night had fallen while the rain gently fell. Black Zetsu watched silently, his gaze fixed on the battlefield. Hashirama Senju had achieved the impossible, overcoming Madara Uchiha with one of the simplest strategies in the shinobi world: a surprise attack using a wooden clone.
The First Hokage, still panting, stared at the corpse of his friend with a mixture of pain and resignation. He lifted his eyes to the sky as the raindrops slid down his face, as if the world itself wept for the tragedy it had just witnessed.
I shifted my attention to Zetsu, and he did the same. "We should kill them and take their bodies," I said bluntly, without any hesitation to hide my intentions. I knew Zetsu's plan, but I couldn't simply ask him directly what his next moves were. I needed to force him to reveal his true purposes.
Zetsu kept his gaze cold and analytical before replying. "No. Madara survived. He used Izanagi before he died," he said in his usual calm tone. "If my calculations are correct, jōnin-ranked shinobi are approaching. It would be more prudent to wait for them to arrive. Even though Hashirama is exhausted, calculating his strength and the distance to the jōnins, it's wiser to see what happens with Madara's body when they find it."
Without taking my eyes off the remnants of the battle, I nodded slightly. "It's likely that Tobirama, with his obsessive interest in the Sharingan, will be the one to take the body to investigate it," I commented, waiting for a reaction from Zetsu. However, the shadowy being remained silent.
Hashirama, wounded and on the verge of unconsciousness, staggered to the edge of the lake. Exhausted, he finally collapsed, struggling to stay conscious. In the distance, the sound of several shinobi approaching echoed through the thunderclaps lighting up the night.
In a matter of seconds, around seven shinobi descended with precision into the Valley of the End, their chakra reserves vast, worthy of experienced jōnins. Among them, some with red hair stood out, presumably from the Uzumaki clan. The tension was palpable, and even though the battle had ended, the danger was far from over.
"Hashirama-sama, relax, let me help you," said a young man with the Senju Clan insignia on his armor, as he hurriedly approached Hashirama. His green hair fluttered slightly in the night breeze as he used healing ninjutsu on the exhausted First Hokage's body. He looked at the barely conscious man with respect, the one known as the only true god of the shinobi world.
In the blink of an eye, more shinobi arrived. Among them stood a tall, imposing man. His grayish hair and reddish eyes contrasted with the three red marks adorning his face: two below the eyes and one on his chin. His blue armor, worn over a black shirt and pants, clearly identified him as an elite warrior. The Konoha protector covered not only his forehead but also the sides of his face, similar to Yamato's style. Around his neck, he wore a fluffy white scarf, adding a more intimidating air.
This was Tobirama Senju, Hashirama's younger brother and future Second Hokage.
"Investigate the area. If there's any Uchiha lurking, I want you to find them," ordered Tobirama in a firm and authoritative voice. As he spoke, he crouched, placing two fingers on the ground and closing his eyes, concentrating deeply.
Suddenly, Tobirama furrowed his brow and opened his eyes with alarming intensity. He jerked his head toward my direction. "THERE!" he shouted, pointing with precision. "Jōnin-level chakra signatures, just two," he exclaimed, wasting no time.
In a split second, he threw several kunai, each equipped with explosive tags, directing them precisely towards our position.
When the kunai exploded, the strategic retreat began immediately.
Zetsu, using his ability to sink into the earth, quickly disappeared, while I, suppressing my chakra to the maximum, moved away at great speed. I easily evaded the shinobi and, more importantly, Tobirama's detection abilities.
Tobirama's gaze hardened as he considered whether to pursue us. He hadn't expected to encounter anyone in a place where such a fierce battle had just taken place. The presence of intruders in this area was undoubtedly something he and his men hadn't anticipated.
However, his rational side prevailed. He decided to stay with his brother, Hashirama, who was in an extremely weakened state. Tobirama, being who he was, would not trust anyone else to protect the man who, at that moment, was the greatest military force in the history of the shinobi world.
Looking at the guards who accompanied him, Tobirama quickly ordered a retreat towards Konoha.
"Everyone, touch my back," he commanded firmly as they approached the unconscious body of Hashirama, while one of the shinobi guarding the First Hokage quickly separated and took the seemingly dead body of Madara Uchiha, carrying it away.
In a flash of blue, they disappeared, heading towards the Hidden Leaf Village.
Five minutes later...
The arrival of Tobirama and his group of escorting shinobi at Konoha's hospital did not go unnoticed. As soon as they appeared, both the doctors and the patients present were stunned to see the First Hokage in such a critical state. However, there was no time for questions or exclamations. The doctors barely had the chance to approach when Tobirama's sharp voice, the coldest and most direct of the Senju brothers, resonated through the place.
"Hurry, heal my brother!" His command brooked no argument.
With the same efficiency his reputation demanded, the doctors hurried to move Hashirama into one of the empty rooms of the hospital, bursting in without ceremony. Tobirama, ever calculating, immediately created a water clone and ordered it to watch over his brother while he turned to the group of remaining shinobi at his side.
"I will take care of the village's affairs while my brother recovers," Tobirama announced in an authoritative voice. "You all, watch over Hashirama. If any shinobi still in the forest return, tell them I want them in my office immediately. I've already notified them using the Chakra Pulse."
The "Chakra Pulse" was a unique technique, created by the MC clan, which had experts in fuinjutsu among its ranks. It consisted of a series of intricate seals that, when activated, could send discreet signals to authorized shinobi to receive them. It was one of the clan's most valuable contributions to Konoha's military strategy.
With the instructions given, Tobirama disappeared in a flash, heading to the Hokage's office. As he moved, his mind was already plotting the next steps.
"I want them to bring the heads of the most important clans," he thought, as he surveyed the grim panorama looming over the village. "That includes the Kurohana (MC clan), Uchiha, Hyuga, Nara, and the rest... I need to speak with them. The village could be in grave danger."
– Time skip of a day.
In the deepest forests of the shinobi village, the birthplace of genocides, military powers, monstrous prodigies, and, of course, the world's strongest blondes, two figures were watching a specific place. A man covered head to toe in black clothing, his face hidden, stood alongside a dark presence, both concealed among the dense branches of the majestic trees. These trees, born from the power of Hashirama Senju, stood with imposing magnificence, their trunks thick as columns, silent witnesses to the history of Konoha.
The two figures slowly emerged from between the prominent branches and roots surrounding the forest. They entered a clearing where small rays of sunlight penetrated timidly. The place seemed to possess a life of its own, the way the towering trees surrounded the area gave a sense of supernatural stillness. The only sounds present were the faint creak of the weaker branches moved by the soft wind.
Kenjaku POV:
The silence was deep, almost absolute. If I had to describe this place, it would be the most peaceful and isolated spot in all of Konoha at this moment.
It was clear that this place had been specifically chosen to hide or bury the body of that man. It was obvious that Tobirama, with his typical meticulousness, had selected this location to ensure that Madara Uchiha's body wouldn't fall into the hands of any cunning shinobi whose intelligence surpassed their combat abilities. CoughCough "Pedomaru" CoughCough.
I slightly turned my head to observe Zetsu, who was beside me, his dark figure staring fixedly at the spot where Tobirama and the ANBU squad had "carefully" buried Madara's body.
"What will we do when he wakes up?" Zetsu asked in his usual cold voice, though it carried a hidden curiosity.
"Leave it to me," I replied calmly. "We must be ready for any scenario, even the worst."
As I spoke, I kept my voice steady, aiming to ease the doubts of the being accompanying me at this moment. I had already changed bodies; now I inhabited that of an Uchiha, something that was extremely convenient. One of the advantages of changing bodies was the ability to make binding vows, to enhance my techniques.
What I usually do is sacrifice certain jutsu or even the dojutsu of a body in exchange for maximizing the change technique.
I've been using these practices for quite some time.
One of the most helpful binding vows I made with this technique was when, in the "Era of the Great Clans," I had possession of one of the Uchiha bodies, before the formation of Konoha and the global shinobi system.
By sacrificing the Dojutsu of the body, that is, the Sharingan, which caused its eyes to lose their light, I was able to enhance my technique. This improvement granted me the ability to adapt to the physical abilities and capabilities of the body, as well as absorb memories related to it in mere seconds.
Not only did this allow me to use more bodies to strengthen my techniques, but it also gave me the ability to switch to another body if one of mine were to be lost.
[A/N: °The Healing Resurrection and Regeneration Jutsu (治活再生の術, Chikatsu Saisei no Jutsu) is a technique that uses a part of a relative's body (usually hair) to regenerate a severely destroyed body part. This technique takes a long time to complete, as it requires four ninjas in a fixed position and a spacious room.
The medical ninjas must be replaced periodically due to the long time and the large amount of chakra required. The first time this technique is seen in the series is when, after the mission to rescue Uchiha Sasuke, the ninjas sent out, who were gravely injured, required this jutsu. It is used on Hyūga Neji, who had a punctured stomach and lung.
Thanks to a binding vow that eliminates the need for hair, ninjas, and a room for the procedure, in exchange for the body from which the vow is applied losing its mobility, the chakra used in this technique is "sealed" in the brain of the body. This chakra cannot be used at will, as the condition set is that it will activate automatically two hours after the subject's death.
There are at least eight other binding vows, possibly more than Kenny hints at; who knows...
While they observed the earth shift slightly, they saw a worn-down Madara, with multiple cuts, emerge from beneath it. Stumbling steps, the Uchiha seemed to be holding a kunai in his hands. Madara's vacant gaze made Kenjaku raise an eyebrow as he approached him with unshakable calm.
The use of Izanagi in one of his eyes had its effect, leaving Madara nearly blind. Kenjaku vanished and reappeared behind Madara, and before the latter could react, he struck him at the base of his neck, knocking him unconscious to the ground.
"I have a question for you..." Zetsu remarked, gazing at the unconscious body of someone who, in the past, would have been a threat on a near bijuu level. "What are you going to do with him? I doubt that, knowing his character, once he wakes up, he'll offer you a handshake in thanks for your help."
"Relax. What I did to the Uchiha stone gives me quite an interesting ability to play my cards right," Kenjaku replied with a serene smile, his eyes shifting from 3 tomoe Sharingan to Mangekyo Sharingan.
Zetsu, whose expression still carried uncertainty, decided to venture a question he probably wouldn't get a completely serious answer to.
"Kenjaku... Are there ways to evolve the 3 tomoe Sharingan into Mangekyo without needing to kill, suffer, or even perform transplants? Given the age of the body you inhabit, I can deduce you're not an ordinary shinobi. Despite that, here you are with a Mangekyo, probably the only one aside from Madara Uchiha."
"I'm no prodigy or anything like that. I simply obtained the Mangekyo the conventional way," Kenjaku responded with a kind smile. However, his explanation only left more questions in Zetsu's mind, who thought, 'This guy is too unpredictable... Definitely trusting him is problematic. Did anyone really think he'd be their friend? As soon as he lets his guard down, I'll make sure to take him out of the way.'
"And where are we taking him? Don't think we'll be wandering the shinobi world casually with someone who probably holds more value than an entire village according to the bingo book," Black Zetsu remarked.
"Obviously, to the Valley of the End," Kenjaku answered confidently.
