Shiro had misbehaved at the place of work. It was against the code of conduct of the institution. She had caused trouble for herself and there was no reverse.
Contrary to normal days, Shiro arrived at her place of work very early in the morning. She knew very well there was a case for her to answer.
At the main gate, she was denied access. The security had been alarmed since she had been declared a threat to the surroundings.
Meanwhile, the hospital management was informed that the intern had convened a special meeting. At the meeting, the management selected a disciplinary committee which had to look into the matter.
Contrary to expectations, Shiro had reported to work, yet she is supposed to be in custody. That very morning, she would be going to the court of law for the crime committed.
At the disciplinary committee, Shiro was allowed to explain herself. It was a tough meeting.
The meeting began on a high note. Dr. Sang brought the meeting into order.
"Good morning ladies and gentlemen" Dr. Sang greeted. Meanwhile, Shiro was very terrified, her heart pumping at an alarming rate, sweat dropping on her tiny body and tears dropping on her cheeks.
Dr. Sang boldly said, "We have convened an impromptu meeting to discuss the conduct of one of our colleagues, as we are all aware there is a colleague who assaulted a fellow yesterday." He posed a little, took a handkerchief from his pocket and wiped off sweat from the face.
"It is too unfortunate to discuss this at this particular time, a time when our schedule is too tight considering the large number of patients we get currently... But justice must be served" Dr. Sang continued.
"Regarding the code of conduct policy, any person found guilty of having willingly or unwillingly assaulted, abused or used vulgar language against a colleague, a patient or any other person within the institution is bound to contract termination regardless of the position they hold" Dr. Sang read, holding a code of conduct booklet.
"It would be quite unfair if I would not give Shiro a chance to defend herself against the claims before this committee," Dr. Sang spoke again in a low tone.
"Welcome Miss. Shiro and may you be brief" Dr. Sang welcomed her to speak.
Shiro was given a chance to express herself. She remained sat and couldn't talk. She maintained a grown face that depicted that she could cry soon.
After quite a considerable amount of time, Dr. Sang stood up. This time he was very harsh. "Don't you think you are wasting our time, young girl, we have a serious assignment to undertake?"
The little girl became too scared. She felt as if life had come to an end. Tears began rolling down her tiny cheeks, drawing number eleven. But the question remained. Will she gain a favor from the stone-hearted men before her? It was not an easy task.
The meeting was halted, citing Shiro's unwillingness to collaborate. She was referred to the human resource manager who would handle her case. The meeting was immediately dismissed.
Shiro sat there for a while before she went to see the human resource manager.
As the human resource manager, things were tough. Shiro knocked at the office and was let in. The office was very quiet, the occupant portraying a frowning face. It dawned unto her that she had lost it. All indicators were clearly showing bad news ahead.
"Good morning Mrs Shiro", the manager greeted her as she welcomed her to have a seat.
"This is a report that has been forwarded to me by the disciplinary committee" she explained, opening a spring file to show her.
"The committee concluded that you have been found guilty of the offense claimed to have been done by you," she added.
Meanwhile, Shiro kept quiet. She had been crying all along and her tears had long dried up. She just held her fate to the Maker, as she was a strong believer.
The manager took a dismissal letter, read it before stamping it. She then handed it over to Shiro.
Shiro, knowing her fate, could not pick the letter. On insisting, Shiro had to take it, but she was not going with it anywhere. That was the worst history to keep for memory.
Shiro took the letter, tore it into pieces and threw the pieces into a dustbin just inside the office. She then showed the manager her back, walking out in a disappointed manner.
At the main gate, the security officer tried to stop her from signing out, but she declined. She just walked out, took a motorcycle and headed back home.
Shiro arrived home without informing her boyfriend. During normal days, she normally returned home late into the evening. Today, she had to come as early at nine o'clock in the morning.
Arriving, Shiro climbed the stairs and arrived at the door. She knocked on the door for a while but no one was coming to open for her. She wondered what was really happening.
Finally, Mark came and opened the door. It was Shiro! Mark was surprised, wondering why she chose to return home at such a time of the day. But obviously he guessed something might be wrong somewhere.
Shiro went into the bedroom. She needed time to rest and reflect on her life.
She climbed onto the bed and lay her tiny body there. After more than two hours in the bedroom, she suspected something under the bed. She keenly listened and could hear some sound from far. At first, she ignored it.
Meanwhile, Mark was in the guest room, feeling unsettled. Anyone could just guess that something was wrong somewhere.
When the noice became persistent, Shiro walked out of bed, took a torch and knelt down to confirm under the bed.
What a bad day! Shiro saw someone, a lady under the bed. Not just a lady but a naked one. The real betrayal! She had nothing to do at first, but to sit down and stare at her.
"You lady, come out quickly, I have already seen you" Shiro shouted.
Mark knew that drama had just started. He did not want to witness as he knew how his girlfriend handled things. Obviously, it would turn into a matter of life and death. He quickly disappeared into thin air.
It became a matter of struggle. Shiro tried to have the lady come out, but she was too reluctant. Coming out of bed was too risky as Shiro
was just ready to pounce unto her.
