Chapter 34: Fifth-Level Transfiguration Spell
It was getting late.
Professor McGonagall finally stopped.
She glanced at the time, and even felt that time had passed really fast.
A trace of regret flashed in her eyes, and she smiled at Dylan: "Let's stop here for today. It's getting late, and you have classes tomorrow, so go back and rest."
Dylan also nodded with lingering interest.
As expected of Professor McGonagall, who personally wrote "Advanced Transfiguration Guide."
She was able to get to the core of many things.
[Message]: Your Transfiguration Spell proficiency has increased! Current progress is 50%!
Dylan glanced at his Transfiguration proficiency.
It jumped another level!
Directly to level five!
"Comfortable~"
All his hard work over the past few days paid off.
Whenever he had something to do, he would run to Professor McGonagall.
He pulled the Vice Principal of Hogwarts to give him small classes every day.
And each class started at a few hours, wishing he could pull the elderly professor to teach all night.
"However, even if I have basically mastered inanimate object transfiguration, there are still too many things to understand about living object transfiguration."
Transfiguration is an extremely complex spell.
And the higher the proficiency, the harder it is to increase.
But if you can find a key point, you might be able to jump up the proficiency level.
"Fortunately, I have so many max-level spells. Although the spells are different, magic always has some commonality. Understanding the principle of one spell can be applied to other spells."
For example, recently he studied Diffindo and Confringo again.
He learned so fast!
Even taking online classes with fast-forward wasn't as fast as he learned.
Although it's not dark magic, the principles and essence of these two spells are very similar to several attack spells in dark magic.
He just glanced at it and quickly mastered these two spells.
And the proficiency also increased rapidly.
Although it didn't jump to the max level at once, it was definitely comparable to the control of these two spells by adult wizards.
"It's time to go back to sleep."
After Dylan packed up, he said goodbye to Professor McGonagall and left her office, heading towards his dormitory.
When he stepped into the Gryffindor common room and arrived at the dormitory.
As soon as he entered the door, he saw Harry and Ron sitting on a bed.
The two were whispering to each other.
Seeing him come back, Ron greeted him.
Dylan nodded slightly.
When he looked down, he saw a black shadow flashing out from his bed.
"Coal Ball, good evening~"
Seeing his own Coal Ball, Dylan smiled more gently.
Since he had the Crup keeping license, he took some time at noon to bring Coal Ball to the dormitory to raise.
He didn't plan to let it go out usually.
Even the other little wizards in Gryffindor didn't know that he had such a magical creature.
And Harry and Neville naturally wouldn't just tell anyone about it.
Only Ron always couldn't control his mouth today, wanting to show off that Dylan had a Crup.
But Hermione and Harry stopped him in time.
After all, Crups are not allowed to be kept as pets in Hogwarts in the conventional sense.
Not to mention that Crups are also aggressive and have strong combat power.
Even if little Coal Ball hasn't fully grown up, it's enough to kill little wizards who don't know much magic.
So Dylan didn't want to put Coal Ball in too many people's sight, so as not to cause trouble for him.
"Moo~"
Coal Ball paced gracefully, but suddenly stopped when it was close to Dylan.
The little guy raised his chin slightly, his tail swayed gently, and looked at Dylan with slanting eyes.
As if to say: "I didn't come to greet you on purpose!"
However, the next moment, when Dylan walked directly to the table.
Seeing that Dylan didn't intend to hug it, Coal Ball's eyes widened, and he followed him, slowly circling around Dylan's feet.
Occasionally, it gently rubbed his head against his calf, and paused for a moment each time.
Putting his schoolbag next to the table, Dylan smiled and squatted down, hugging Coal Ball in his arms.
"Moo~!"
Coal Ball lay on its back, turned its little head, and called out proudly.
Dylan smiled and then gave himself a Scourgify.
He was too lazy to wash up today, so he used magic for the night.
He took off his shoes, placed them neatly by the bed, put on his pajamas, and climbed into bed.
He lifted a corner of the quilt, hugged Coal Ball in one hand, and plunged into the quilt.
As soon as he lay down, he couldn't help but let out a long breath, his expression relaxed, his eyes slightly closed, and the corners of his mouth raised unconsciously, revealing a contented smile.
"It's so comfortable~"
Dylan shook his legs and shrank his whole body into the quilt, letting the quilt wrap him tightly.
He could feel Coal Ball finding a comfortable position in his arms.
The furry head rubbed here and sniffed there, and the paws occasionally scratched gently.
After a while, it was finally satisfied, curled up into a ball, and nestled in his arms.
With his eyes closed, his breathing soon became even and slow.
Ron and Harry blinked aside.
The two looked at each other.
"No, is he asleep already?"
"It seems that Dylan really doesn't intend to go to duel with Slytherin with us."
"Why don't we ask again later?"
"Won't it be too late?"
"Just ask."
The two whispered, tidied up a little, and climbed into bed without even taking off their clothes.
A few hours passed.
Until late at night.
The whole Hogwarts became quiet.
These two guys sneaked up again.
When they were about to go out, Ron tugged at Harry, and then led him to Dylan's bed.
They stood there for a long time, like two guards, pushing each other, and finally stared at Dylan, who was sleeping soundly on the bed.
Harry couldn't resist Ron, and sighed heavily silently.
He walked forward, swallowed, and then stretched out his hand, raised a finger, and gently poked Dylan's face.
"Shua"
Dylan's eyes opened instantly, staring straight at the two uninvited guests in front of the bed.
Ron and Harry were startled, and Harry quickly retracted his hand.
"Uh..."
He gave a dry laugh, opened his mouth, but couldn't speak for a while.
Ron whispered.
"That, Dylan, we are going to duel. Just want to ask you, are you really not going with us?"
As soon as Ron finished speaking, the two looked at Dylan hopefully.
But when they saw the two ghost-like green lights in Dylan's eyes.
The two instantly pursed their lips, tightened their faces, and raised two slightly awkward smiles.
